In a nutshell you:

- get to honored with Brood of Nozdormu
- talk to npc right after prophet skeram (first boss) in AQ40 for quest
- gather 3 types of mats that drop off random mobs, and kill c'thun for the epic husk (83%)
- profit

I've been ignoring TB posts for too long, i can't beleive any idiot could call this a bad mage chest...it's quite simply the best mage chest in the game. If your a mag, and you have the audacity to spit on the chest, go roll a lock, and leave the true butt kicking to people who know how to play the mage class....wow...simply wow.

Wtf is up with all the mana per tick?
thats priests and druids regen, mages need spirit, filling up 1/3 of your mana with evocation sucks!
For all the other random noobs that says this set sucks Piss Off! This set is awsome! You might not know it but quite alot of the endgame mobs and bosses are more resistant then you! And its has alot of +dmg and stats.

The set bonuses are not very exciting (compared to Netherwind), and the set gives less spellpower and crit chance than Netherwind, of course taking into account that it's only 5 pieces. The pieces that are "missing" are belt, gloves and wrist, the three slots that is the hardest to find good mage items for.

I'll keep my netherwind and pass on this.

This is an RPG you know. You're meant to get into the ROLE of the character. If you don't feel like you're the character after settling down for a little while, then the game isn't doing what it's supposed to.

I wouldn't want to be parading around in something as ugly as that. Half the sets in this game look like crap, the only decent armour lately is Priests and Shamans (Earthfury looks wickedsick)

Even when I have the Wrath set, I'll be keeping around my Might set to wear when I'm not fighting, just 'cus it looks awesome. Looks are important in an RPG, even an MMO.

This set has better stats then Netherwind by far, *especially* if you're a fire mage.

Complement a full Engima with Netherwind Gloves/Darkstorm, Mana Igniting Cord/Firemaw's Clutch/C'thun belt, and Burrower's Bracers/Netherwind Bindings/Bracers of Arcane Accuracy.

Plenty of options in those slots. If you're only going to pick up 3 pieces, get the chest, helm and shoulders. FF boots are better and easy to get, and the upgrade from NW Leggings to Enigma is only 4 dmg and a bit of stam/regen.

Helm and Chest are massively better, and the shoulders are better than NW in terms of useful stats. Especially if you're fire spec, where the 30 spell penetration on the Shoulders/Chest will do you a world of good.

some individual pieces looks pretty nice, but as a whole i'd say mages got the shaft again.
our blade of vaulted secrets from the AQ 3-piece looks, compared to the lock dagger, like a blue item qualitywise. the reason for giving them 19 more dmg is beyond me. seems like blizzard wants the locks to catch up to mages dmgwise, while in reality it is very often the other way around.

as for the 5-piece, the bonues are so horrible it's beyond belief. 30% to avoid interrupts while channeling! should it have been even remotely useful, it would have to be 100%, and even then u'd have to be an idiot to continue channeling when being hit. the other bonus sucks aswell imo. considering the set already gives 2% +hit making it 98% to equal lvl mobs. so why would i want another 5% for 20 seconds? incredible.

i should really stop looking forward to seing new mage gear being introduced, when it's a let-down most of the time.

The biggest problem is all other armor sets (leather-mail-plate) look amazingly pro whereas cloth sets look like L30. I will have the head, just because I can hide it. I already have the boots, but the boots don't even have graphics. I walk around barefoot. GG Blizz.

Gain Honored reputation status with The 诺兹多姆的子嗣.
Accept your class quest from 温瑟拉 inside The Temple 安其拉 (AQ40). She's located in a side room just beyond 预言者斯克拉姆.
Kill 克苏恩 and loot the Qiraji token: 上古之神的外鞘.
Collect the right amount/type of Idols and Scarabs needed, either buy them from the auction house or loot from trash / 大型圣甲虫箱s.
Complete the quest!
