Unless you are gathering these items for a quest, they usually aren't worth turning in for the repeatable quest. If you are just trying to increase Cenarion Circle rep, check the AH prices on three (3) of these versus ten (10) encrypted twilight texts. On Black Dragonflight server the abyssal crests go for 2.5-3.5g each making a stack of 3 for the quest between 7.5-10.5g for a single quest completion. The encrypted twilight texts are generally 50s or so per text, making a stack of 10 texts about 5g.

If the price is right, it's best to sell your abyssal crests (if you aren't using them for other quests) and purchase the texts for rep.

As patch 2.2, these now gives 150 reputation for 3 for a turn in at Bor Wildmane

One Abyssal Crest to Bor Wildmane now gives 500 rep with Cenarion Circle.

This also count towards Loremaster of Kalimdor first time you turn in.

These are still obtainable as of patch 4.0.3a, but the quest to turn these in has been removed.

Unfortunately, Bor Wildmane doesn't take these anymore. Even more unfortunately, there isn't anyone in Cenarion Hold that takes them. Still more unfortunately, the quest to convert a large brilliant shard and 3 of these into the next tier of turn in is also absent.

It seems we're stuck to grinding for texts now.

Unless of course someone can prove otherwise, which I would absolutely adore.

It is possible to summon at least the Hoary Templar as I have just done this now.

As a reward for the hermit's quest, he mailed me two 'Scroll: Create Crest of Beckoning'. One water, one thunder. The water one can't be created anymore because Elemental Water seems to be written out of the game, most of the mobs that dropped it are gone, and the ones that remain drop a replacement 'Inert Elemental Shard'. Elemental Air still exists, so the 'Crest of Beckoning: Thunder' can be created, and thus the Hoary Templar can be summonned.

I'd imagine the same can be said for the Earth one too, since that requires Dense Stone to create the Crest.

There's not much point in doing it though, I don't think the quest that actually uses them properly exists any more :(

Still worth it if you're rep grinding, the elementals are worth 20 rep. I hope that this zone is just unfinished, afterall Krug Skullsplit still talks about Thrall. Or maybe they're just so out of touch in the desert, news hasn't reached them :P Still, I'm holding out hope that they'll add it back in.

I am dissapointed too. I was wanting to do repeatable quests for Cenarion Circle Rep for my main toon in Blacksmithing but it looks like Silithus has been stripped of them. Is there another zone where I can gain rep for Cenarion Circle? Seems to me Blizzard screwed us on this one.

The mobs are the elemental's Abyssal Templar, that you summon by wearing all 3 of the twilight hammer's trapping's. You then summon them at one of the wind stones in the twilight hammers camps.

All of them are easy for Rogue 58 lvl.
Apply Deadly Poison.
Then Garrote Them. They are easy after that.

So erm... I kill all the mobs around the wind stone, I equip all the twilight items and use the wind stone. The wind stone then tells me it wants me to wear a medallion. The medallion I get from turning in an Abyssal Crest which drops from a mob summoned by the wind stone?
I guess that's not the way. A clearer description is needed, please!

EDIT:
Apparently there are lesser, normal (without a prefix) and greater wind stones. Without the medallion (but with the rest of the set) you can summon Templars at lesser wind stones.

EDIT2:
NOTE: Your Twilight Set is consumed in the process, meaning after you have summoned the Templar, you do not have the items any more and need to find new ones.

-get a complete twilight cultist set (drop off the twilight cultists...)

-get a healer or so, because some of them have a rather nasty damage-output

-go to a lesser windstone, put on the set and activate the stone (remeber to put your armour back on, since the set will disappear)

With the new Before The Storm patch out, the stones are glitched right now, they don't work. I equipped my entire Twilight Trappings set and clicked on the stones, and they still just hit me with lighting. I asked around and a lot of people have confirmed the same thing, so don't try and do quests involving the templars right now.

According to messages on thottbot, this has two purposes.

1) Turn it in for a "Bag of spoils", and 90 silver:

2) Save, and combine with 2 more, and with a large brilliant shard to get a "Twiligt Cultist Medallion of station":

The medallion of station lets you take on one of the dukes (you'll need a group). Defeating a duke gives you an abyssal signet, which can be turned in for a "Sack of Spoils" plus 1.85 gold:

The "Sack of Spoils" will always contain BoE armor or weapons, and it can often be rares, or even epics. This is the only known way to get the "Elemental Attuned blade" (AH value of 1500g):

Hey if you're wondering what is the most efficient way to do CC rep/turnins during phase 4. Handing in the abyssal crests provide the best rep per cult set. The only reason you should be doing the upper-level repeatable turnins is for potential loot. Math below!

For Abyssal Signet Turnin (Requires 3x Signets):

9x lesser kills (5 rep each, 45 total)
3x duke kills (25 rep each, 75 total)
Each duke summon requires a cult set
Repeatable quest turnin (3 signets for 100 rep)
Total 220 rep (12 sets of cult gear, 3 large brill shards)

___________________________________________________

For Abyssal CREST Turnin (Requires 3x Crests):

9x lesser kills (5 rep each, +45 total)

Repeatable quest turnin (3 CRESTs for 50 rep each, +150 total)

Total 195 rep (9 sets of cult gear)

Calculate in the 3 extra sets used for dukes:

3x lesser killes (+15 rep)

Repeatable quest turnin again (+50 rep)

New Total 260 rep (12 sets of cult gear)
