If you do not have the Blacksmithing Plans already, you can no longer get them. Same goes for the chest plate and Legs.

You can still make these if you have the recipe. They removed the souldarite mat requirement. :)

Is it just me, or are the mats for evey piece of this set easily obtainable? I mean, I have 5 large opals on my guy atm, thorium is by no means rare, and souldarite goes for 1-2g on Bronzebeard, hell, the hardest part about getting this set would be getting to lvl 60 and 300 smithing.

It says that the +Def only applies if you have smithing at 300. So non-smith warriors might want something else.

Souldrite is 30g a piece on my server. They just started to show up in the AH. It will be interesting to see where it goes in price since it is used to make items that are not that good. Just for the shoulders you would be in excess of 300G. Stockades sell for 250g so I dont see this price lasting.

This is awesome for dps warriors too, honestly this is great for assit mc zg bwl warriors who are dpsing or pvp. +hit is a great thing in pvp and with that much extra rate your not going to miss those key normal strikes that give u the rage u need to pull off your big dps moves like a critical heroic strike or a mortal strike on a priest etc. And the amount of stamina, i mean stamina is stamina which is awesome you need hp to survive anywhere pure and simple. the +20 def is great too makes all the melee especially the toher warriors harder to hit you, tell me it isnt frustrating as hell when u hit overpower it misses. more def, less damage your gonna take pure and simple.Take another look before you say this is crap.

I bought these recently and replaced my Stockade Pauldrons with them, but now I'm wondering if maybe SP are better?
I'm not a blacksmith, so won't get the set bonus.
And by "better", I mean "better for tanking".
Advice would be appreciated.

2) im pretty sure you cant wear these unless your a lvl 300 blacksmith. which imo is pretty dumb

You don't need to be a blacksmith to wear them, but you do need 300 Blacksmithing to get the set bonuses.

The set gives these bonuses as more pieces are worn:
These bonuses only apply if the wearer has 300 Blacksmithing.
3: Increased Defense +20.

Whoever said blacksmithing is stupid obviously does not have more than 1 or 2 main chars. I play a rotation of 5 toons that each have different tradeskills. I've crafted weapons for my alts, sent potions between chars, not to mention the money you can make end game crafting eq for MC raids. Blacksmithing is just as essential a craft as any other.

All three pieces are Bind on Equip meaning you do not have to be a Blacksmith to wear them, but you do have to be a 300 skill Blacksmith to get the three piece set bonus if you have all three pieces.

I want these for my warrior on Classic but nobody seems to have the recipe, which is annoying because the mats are dirt cheap on Earthshaker.
