Mount system has undergone some changes in a recent patch.
Now you have to buy a riding skill, which costs 800g for epic mounts and 70g for normal mounts.
After you have that you can buy an epic mount for 80g.
This allows players to obtain more than one mount color cheaper as well as it makes cross-faction mounts buying more convenient.
Since 2.0 the PvP award mounts are now alot easier to obtain.

Each Mark of Honor can now stack up to 100 instead of the old 20.

Purchasable from the vendor in Darnassus, this is one of the mounts available to Alliance characters with a riding skill of 150 (obtainable at level 60). If you are playing as any race other than a Night Elf, you will also need to have Exalted reputation with Darnassus.

This mount increases movement speed by 100%.

From patch 2.4 my Tiger lost it's animated "roar" when pressing the jump button without moving... Is it an update flaw, or should i start debuggin my WoW?

As of Patch 3.2, mounts that require 150 Riding Skill can be attained at level 40. Notwithstanding faction discounts, the riding skill itself costs 50g and the mounts costs 10g.

is there another another way of getting exaulted with Darnassus other then doing the wool cloth quests? is there a instance I can grind rep in?

Just got this mount today, i made a human priest and got exaulted with darnassus real quick, im currently at level 42. Tigers rule!

New model update as of 4.0.1; darkened green eyes, altered texture slightly. I think the armor taking a darker dull iron color looks good.

Price if you're honored with Darnassus = 900 g

Farmed twilight texts, then sold them, then bought more runecloth....3 weeks l8r....Exalted woot! Now im farming more texts for money....hope 2 get one soon.....oh btw, this looks the best with my lok gnome ( thnx WoW model viewer)

First of all no other race can get this mount if your not exalted with darnassus. When the night elves go to the vendor it is 100g if your not honored as a night elf. Same with the riding the cost is 600g if not honored as a night elf or exalted with any other race. If you are honored or exalted the price of riding is 540g. So the over all price of an epic mount is 630g

The price dropped right b4 the xpac, because Blizz didnt expect level 60-70ers to be focusing on farming cash, they expected them to be leveling.

It was 1kg b4 patch 2.0.1 because there were lvl 60s at max level back then that could farm.

Id be happy if i could find a vendor to sell my sabers to. After getting a war talbuk which i prefer to ride I nolonger have a use for my previous 2 mounts. Where can i sell them?
