I'm curious as to why only the crown of all the pieces has the marker, i suppose there is no need to confirm this...sad as I already have 2 of the pieces

went there today the first time and picked up this crown. and well. maybe if you are an undead it might look cool. but it reminds you more of a toilet paper holder. just without the paper..

This drops from the main boss in Scholomance not Stratholme. There's no human or dead side in Scholo. ;)

The first time I ever "ran" Scholo, I was pulled into the instance right at the end as the previous group was falling apart. All I managed to do was die 3 times in 5 minutes. I got in a real run last night, start to finish, and this dropped. So, essentially, I got this my first time through Scholomance.

Never say it can't be done.

Seriously imo the best way to avoid ninja's rolling on devout is simply make the group yourself and masterloot at the appropiate times. Before my guild got to the end game and when I had to do instances with pug's I'd always make the groups and master looted the bosses. I'd much rather be in control than having to rely on 9 other people I don't know. Especially in these online games its so easy to be a jerk or just be stupid and make a mistake.

Anyways if you're just running instances with pug's priests make excellent group leaders, it usually didn't take me long to fill up the group plus you can get a druid to be the second healer so you have no competition for your set items. /wink.

So yeah be the group leader, be the only priest in the raid and get a druid as the 2nd healer, masterloot and if this bad boy drops it goes to you and no one can complain. Well...they could complain but screw them this is the priest set. There's my words of wisdom anyways.

Prophecy's a somewhat rare drop in mc unfortunately so the devout crown is worth getting chances are you'll have it for awhile unless Garr or Onyxia treat you better than me.

devout is nice looking..its a pain to get tho..belive me.....i know..lol after like 4 months all i have is the belt and shoes...>< but it really is a cool looking set..and if u don't like the head piece....which im not a fan of..u can always turn it of in the interface settings....so thats not a prblem

Last night, one ruffian mage ninjaed this Devout crown from me in Scholo (I was the only priest).
After 9 people started *!@#$in on her, she offered to give me a SHARD as payment! She needed the Crown and Disenchanted it? o-O

My warlock friend makes runs to Scholomance... He only needs his Dreadmist Mask to have the full Dreadmist set. He has done 27 runs and still did not dropped his Mask, but there was 13 Devout Crown! So he said there is an about 50% drop chance and i have got it on my 2nd run from Darkmaster, indeed :)

There are 9 race in the game, Darkmaster should always drop a tier0 head item, so it's about 11% chance for each class, but yes, there was 13 Devout dropped in 27 runs!

50% drop r8 is very wrong, id say this is the most unlikely to drop out of all helms from my experiences. I have seen every other helm multiple times and never devout, dreadmist and beastealker r damn peeing me off seemed to be them every run.

hi, it's me again, the victim of the wannabe devout warlock. ran thru scholo the other day and lucky enough to get the devout crown to drop. Funny fight, i got ported, tank died... i broke outta the 'cell' and became the tank!

Any, back to the point, the devout crown dropped and u'd think that I, the only priest, would get dibs on the crown.... nope... this time awannabe healer ROGUE (!) ninja'd it. HOORAY!

It didnt hurt as much as last time since i was only called in for the boss fight... but a rogue..... that made up for the pain. Mental note: master loot.

I have run scholo every night for three weeks now and the devout crown has not dropped ONCE. Did get an epic staff drop...

I'm beginning to wonder if this crown drops here anymore?

My friend (mage) got into a Scholo group while I was running a few clean-up quests. It was full by the time I was free.

A guildy wanted to go through so I signed up and our group headed off to Scholo. All the while I was on ventrilo with my mage-friend.

He was pretty excited when his magister's crown dropped. I admit I was jealous. Not more than 10 minutes later we downed the boss and... devout crown!

Both my friend and I got our drops on the first run through. I also won a nice wand off this final boss that had better DPS and +healing/+damage

Took me about 8 runs to get this.

I saw 2 beaststalker's, a valor, 2 wildhearts, a lightforge, and a magisters before this one finally dropped. I was quite happy when I finally got it =)

I got this on my first ever Scholo run..

Up to this point I was only seing movies about this place, and was like uuuuu I'm finally here..

and went as Priest 58 :) had very good tank so agroo wasnt a problem :)

and to be even better I picked up, think 3 Necromancer things :)

That run stayes my best loot run up to now :P

First I would like to add to the others' comments by saying that I would be unbelievably pissed if anyone else needed this crown on a run. Rogues? Hunters? Warriors? wtf?

And I would be especially angry b/c I have run Scholo about 20 times and every time its Dreadmist or Lightforge.

I have ran scholo so much now more then any other instance. At least 50+ x's. In that time frame i have seen the bonecreeper stylus(wand) and Headmaster's Charge drop...

Why must it be soo difficult.

Every one of my friends says this stupid crown everytime they go but everytime I go funkin wildheart,lightforge, and valor drops 95% of the time.... FIX THE DROP RATE B4 I GO INSANE! 25+ runs btw and MC groups dont want healers with anything lower than tier 0-.5 on my server.... its bull%^&*

Just been on the wow web just to compare the Magisters armor to Devout. They are basically the same. Can someone please tell me why people keep saying Devout's are not meant for Mages? Purely because I got 2 before anyone even told me they were for a priest. wtf? why?

About 20 Scholo runs and ive never seen this drop. Its kinda annoying to spend 2 hours doing those bosses to get to Gangling and see wildheart, valor or shadowcraft caps drop..-_-
And yes, i hate all the warlocks and mages with this and devout mantle.

What I find funny is that the screenshot on this page is of a female gnome. The priest class, for whom this armor set benefits the most, is not available to the gnome race. Kind of interesting, but not really.

Gandling drops nine different possible head pieces. Ain't no f'in way the drop rate on this is as shown @ 38%. At *best* it is 11.1%. The posted current sample size is clearly too small and is tilting the rate. 16x runs will give you an 85% chance to see it drop. It doesn't breach 90% until 20 runs. The same is true for every T0 class helm, so don't expect miracles.
