I'm a level 71 BM Hunter and Tomb-Raider Drywhisker keeps de-spawning on me. I've tried dismissing my pets to attempt to do less damage in hopes of avoiding the de-spawn but that hasn't worked. Any ideas?

Seems to break whenever Brann dies, which is all the time because he stands in everything.

Edit: Went back to the checkpoint and set Brann as healer, he seemed to live long enough to finish the fight.

UPDATE: THIS HAS BEEN FIXED. I'll leave the comment up for educational purposes in case this bug returns or another encounter has the issue occur.

(Temporary solution is explained at the bottom, skip to the Solution heading if you don't want to read about the causes of this bug)

As others mentioned, as of this writing the final boss of this delve, Tomb-Raider Drywhisker, is bugged, specifically when he uses Ground Slam. The vast majority of the time this ability "fails" and he'll despawn right after. It's unclear what conditions makes the ability fail, as it has happened to me in these scenarios:

I was holding the candle
I was not holding the candle
Brann was alive
Brann was unconscious
I was in the light
I was in the darkness
I was far away from the boss
I was within melee range of the boss

(I'm a Balance druid) Sometimes if I Wild Charged out of the light when he started casting, it would cancel the cast until he was in melee range again, and then would re-cast it. Very rarely when I returned to the light as he began casting the ability again, the ability would work as expected and the fight would continue. This was very inconsistent.

Solution:

Set Brann to the Healer spec. You can do this at the start of a delve or at any Explorers' League Supplies bundle you come across by the restoration stones. Ideally you should be a class that has offheal capability at the very least, e.g. Balance druid with Regrowth. If you aren't, I'm not sure if this method will work or not, but Brann does have a healing ability that can heal him when he reaches low health, so that might be enough to get you through this. Throughout this fight you'll want to stay within the candle's light as much as possible. You can right click the candle's debuff to set it down on the ground so you're not using it up running around.

When you're ready, hit the boss to start the fight, and then DO NOT TOUCH HIM for a while. Let Brann get aggro, we're going to let him tank. Throughout the fight, toss one heal onto Brann (HoTs work great) as needed when he falls to around, say, 70% health. Throw a DoT or two onto the boss, but WATCH YOUR THREAT. You don't want to pull the boss on you. What I did was I put Regrowth on Brann whenever I needed, and if the threat % was anywhere from 75 to 80%, I was able to toss a DoT on him, wait a few seconds, and then toss a second DoT on him. This may differ by class, so it might take you a few tries to find the comfortable threat % where you can toss a DoT or two on him. This was enough that I never went over 85% threat, which is where you enter the Danger Zone of pulling threat imo since you want to be able to keep Brann pretty helathy, so being over 85% makes it a bit risky if you need to heal him.

Rinse and repeat this for a while. You'll see the boss successfully cast Ground Slam throughout the fight as Brann kites him. I took a bit of a risk and around 40% of the boss's HP, I waited until after his very next Ground Slam and burst him down with all my cooldowns. I think I was pretty close to the boss using Ground Slam again, so you might want to wait until his next Ground Slam after around 25% or 30% HP if you're not sure if you can burst him down fast enough. Once I formulated this plan with the help of another druid in the Delves General chat at the time (Erenathunir, thank you if you end up reading this!), I was able to kill him first try. They never tell you this, but you can drop the candle by right-clicking the buff to create a stationary candle, and then later pick it up again. This can save a lot of wax in the right circumstances.

No idea how this made through beta. If it bugged, that ability should be disabled until fixed.

After many attempts, I ended up putting Brann in DPS spec and off-heal him on my Enhancement shaman. When I did take, aggravation just kept trying to keep distance between the two of us until Brann would regain aggravation. Without a threat meter and not one to ever rely on using one, it makes this fight very hard.

All three Isle of Dorn Delver's Call quests are available from a sign posted in the Crossroads outside of Dornogal. Easy to pick up all at once, and with the buffed experience they're worth a ton of XP.

There aren't enough mobs to actually complete it. Stuck at Kobolds slain 91%

Edit: Alright it seems you have to kill every single mob for the doors to open. Even the ones stuck in the wall
