Druids in Cat Form, Bear Form, Travel Form or Travel Form, are treated as Beasts, and thus are susceptible to Hunters' Scare Beast. Also, they will not show up on Track Humanoids but will show up on Track Beasts.
Druids in Incarnation: Tree of Life are treated as Elementals and thus are susceptible to Banish and .

The tedium that was 1 to 20 is now over!

Cat Form really helps speed things up when it comes to killing enemies quickly and finishing quests especially when you aqquire some of the more powerful skills.

On my druid as soon as I hit 20 i went into AB and tried stealthing bases.... Bad idea. Stupid twinks.. But anyway. I went to leveling with this, and its insane. The mobs go down 3x as fast as in bear form. Really, other than low armor cat form is amazing.

Isn't there a way to change how the cat forms looks? I was told that as of WOTLK you could get glyphs to make it look like a lynx or something, The Hordes' "Downes Syndrome" lion sucks.

In TBC when CC was the deal in heroics and classes such as kitty dps, retridins and fury warrs where banned I brought along alot of them on my tanking adventures. Because seriously, how can you say no to a cute kitty purring at you? :)

Love cat form for the dps and stealth.
hate it because it's fing ugly and you don't get the advantage of looking like a hunter's pet when someone's in PvP quickly looking to kill something. psshhh.

Tons of times I've attacked Alliance hunter's pets thinking they were druids, or stopped attacking druids because I thought they were pets.

Just an idea, but what if a Night Elf druid in cat form and a rogue are both running next to each other, attacking a Horde and they both disappear and start killing?

Wouldn't it look like an innocent hunter and his pet were just running? Then they suddenly disappear and BAM!

Ok I'm not really sure weather or not this has been said yet but If this is cat form what is the form that looks like a black leopard? I haven't seen that one looking through the spells. All I saw was the 2 flight ones, cat, bear, dire bear, and travel. Please don't downgrade this just because I'm new and curious.

In the Next patch, the Cat and Bear form will get new looks, ive seen them myself on the WoW homepage, and they look sooo cool! Cant wait till patch release! There's not just one new look, but many looks and diffrent colors, that can be changed simply by going to the barber shop! Cant wait!

I say ABOUT DAMN TIME, jeez, while I love my druid, the cat form in my tauren looks horrible, just awfull, thank god they are reworked and now both the elven and tauren forms look awesome.

kudos to blizz for this long overdue change, now if only they applyed this to the next horrible form of druids (yhea I'm talking about the boomkin, that ugly freakshow form is the main reason I don't wanna be balance)

In cat form you get (Level x2 + Agility) as attack power (eg at level 40 with 20 Agil youd get 100AP) but does the AP from agility count toward AP?

Like a rogue gets bonus from Agil and Strength, does the cat druid get same or just 1 AP per agility (from the shift spell)?.... IF ya get why im trying to say? -.-

Having shapeshift is pure ownage, i made a macro for use in Battlegrounds:

/cast Cat Form(Shapeshift)
/cast Cat Form(Shapeshift)

This allows you to instantly clear all movement impairing spells or spells with impairing effects, so therefore you can use it against Thunder Clap, Infected Wounds etc.

It can also be customised, like i did here. I call it Fury of the Cat (since Fury of the Tiger was too long):

/cast Cat Form(Shapeshift)
/cast Cat Form(Shapeshift)
/cast Tiger's Fury(Rank X)
/cast Survival Instincts

This macro instantly clears all movement impairing and Polymorph effects, gives you XX attack power, and increases your health by 30% of your base health. PLease note that you will need to have specced Survival Instincts in Feral Combat first, but then, if youre not feral, you wouldnt be fighting in Cat Form :P

*EDIT* Just confirmed that Tiger's Fury does NOT work. I am working on a way to overcome this.

Just realized something neat, The Reddish-Brown Tauren Cat form looks exactly like Scar (excluding the weird moon symbols on their back, the bracelet thing on their wrists, and of course the scar) from the Lion King. Even has the same Eye color. If you ask me, Blizz intended this.

Not sure if it's just me, or what but when I'm in moonglade and i look at my cat's necklace, it's blue, rather than purple. I have the dark blue fur, if it makes a diffrence.
It's a cool little feature that may or may not exist, but i figured i'd point it out.. =)

Cat form: A fluffy rogue with the ability to heal, tank, and almost everything a rogue can do, excluding the following. Vanish, Sap, Pickpocket, Lockpick, use poisons (But cats have dots), Premeditation, Preparation, and Gouge.

The early night elf cats were much prettier, the real wild cats!
Now, did color them, but without the claws and no fangs. They do not have cats, bears! Paws healthy and thick, and the mouth like a kitten.
Blizzard makes the wow worse and worse ... What? Tell me they did it less violent for children?

Worgen cat form definitely need an upgrade to stand out from other druid races. Just look at them.

By comparison

Night elf = Panther (with bunny ears)
Any large cat with excess black pigment of melanin can be considered a Panther, Jaguars could be the felines best related to the Night Elves as their natural habitat are Rain forests like Teldrassil.

Tauren = Lion (with horns)
Mulgore is obviously a Savannah which is the natural habitat of lions.

Troll = Tiger (with tusks)
Unlike lions, tigers prefer dense vegetation and proximity to water, both of which can be found on most isles.

Worgen = Lion (again)
There's nothing that makes them stand out, they could as well be a generic mob waiting to be looted for it's organs. They can't be cheetahs because they're already used for travel form, and leopards look very similar to cheetahs. So my suggestion would be to relate them to Lynxes, since officially there are no big feline habitats in Great Britain (which Glineas is based upon), but as the Eurasian Lynx habitats go as far as Norway, the only thing that contrasts with my suggestion is that lynxes and wolves are rivals when it comes to pray so they tend to stay away from each other... thou it could be used as irony. One more thing, the previous 3 have some facial feature that greatly diferentiates one from another and from regular cats (ears, tusks, horns) but the worgen ears might as well be feline ears.

I just submitted several screenshots of the Worgen and Troll Cat forms since thier havent been that many submited yet. I used hair color as referance determine each form and so labled them as i saw on my screen. (*note for Worgens the color hair you have in your human side determines your form color, and is difficult to change the color since you have to be in Worgen side to use the barber's chair. the colors are as followed going right starting with: black, Brown, Pale Tan, Red, and last a Golden Blonde)

i know most people wont care but for those people like me that do i hope these screenshots and information helps :)

There's a bug that if you /dance while in Cat Form and take out Cat Form, your caster form will keep dancing. While this is happening, you can hit hearthstone and he/she will keep dancing while casting :P

In Legion, cat form will change appearance based on the appearance of the druid's artifact weapon.

Since patch 7.2.5, my worgen druid periodically roars while in Cat Form.
Not the same as /roar , more of a snarling growl.
This happens whether it's stealthed or not.
Either that, or its usually undetectable sounds were ramped way up during the patch.
