This seems like a recycled encounter from The Abyssal Maw raid that never happened in cataclysm.

3 hydra shots on heroic seems like a bit too much for small groups, were having to pad our group with pugs just to have more bodies to soak it.

The WC3 hero has a forked lightning ability, just like the boss, and also a whirlwind themed ability.

Ever since 7.3.2 patch was released for the week of October 22th 2017, the Mistress on Phase two would perform an attack named "Call Vellius" which would show a line that players must avoid it at all costs and have to move the boss on one side. However, after the update today, there was a bug that somehow removed the floor effects and you could not actually see where she will call Vellius (and it seemed a lot of people are getting hit by it). This may be considered a bug to the game ever since the patch release and should be fixed as soon as possible.

I wish the Naga females would look like this! Tentacles/snakes on their heads, the upper body normal looking and then the tail! The current ones look very odd and porly in comparison to this model! The Naga females are supposed to still have some of their night elven features

Since BFA, there seems to be a visual glitch that causes her to sometimes hold her harpoon backwards, so it looks like she's holding it by the blade and hitting you with the blunt end, instead of the other way around.

we 3-manned her today easily (boomkin, frost dk, fury warrior, all over 465 item level). didn't even get to the phase that "sucks", heh.

you can overpower her fast. we didn't lust, though it'll probably be easier and faster if you do.

For a long time Mistress Sassz'ine was not soloable by many classes. She'd begin the first wind towards the sea monster (reach it and you die), and would eventually cast the second before she could be beaten down. This drove many solo farmers up the wall. It's definitely soloable now by non-dps classes through either my dps going up or her recast time going down. It took me 3 minutes, 12 seconds to down her, but I did and she never cast it a second time. I'm a Discipline Priest so if I can solo her then most every class should be able to.

Solo'd on mythic as an ivl 454 fury warrior. I didn't think she was soloable due to hydra shot but the debuff only last about 6 seconds and hydra shot is cast like every 30 seconds. I didn't kill the eels at the right time and got hit by the tornadoes, the debuff did almost no damage. Don't stand in the red stuff, found out a shark will hit for about 90% of my hp.

What causes the purple ink to spawn? I need three of them to chase the beast away, but I only ever get 2 before I get sucked in.

In 9.0.5 she is soloable in Mythic (208 ilvl balance druid).

The key for success was to nuke her from 70% to 40% as fast as possible, so the Devouring Maw (slow constant pull) didn't have the time to turn into The Super Vacuum of Instant Death™.

After I had her to 40%, I walked through the purple puddles on the floor and brought them to the Devouring Maw (it has two circles around it, don't go into the inner one or you'll die). After you feed it 5 puddles, the pull goes away and you can deal with her in peace.

Don't try to feed the Devouring Maw with the purple puddles before you have gotten her to 40%: the timer for The Super Vacuum will run out and kill you before enough puddles has been spawned (their spawn rate is tied to the size of the raid group).

Now you just need to take ONE (1) ink within the outer ring, and the Devouring Maw leaves. 03/28/2022.

Delicious Bufferfish – Picking up a Delicious Bufferfish grants an additional 3% damage dealt. Healers instead restore 0 mana every 1 sec. These effects increase every 5.2 sec, up to 50 stacks.
Taking any damage causes the Delicious Bufferfish to drop onto the ground.
- Dread Shark – A Dread Shark may catch the scent of a Delicious Bufferfish! It will devour the Bufferfish and all players within 8 yds after 6 sec.
Hydra Shot – Marks players for a piercing Hydra Shot. After 6 sec, each arrow inflicts 746 Physical damage to all targets up to that player, split among those struck. Each player struck also gains a stack of Hydra Acid.
- Hydra Acid – Hydra acid covers a target, inflicting 1064 Nature damage every 1 sec for 8 sec. This effect stacks and stuns for 30 sec upon reaching 2 or more stacks.
Burden of Pain – Curses a target with wracking pain, causing them to suffer 5314 Shadow damage every 1 sec. Additionally, Physical damage the player suffers while the curse is in effect is shared to all other players.
From the Abyss – Beckon forth three Abyss Stalkers from the depths.
- Abyss Stalker – Abyss Stalkers' melee attacks inflict shadow damage to their target instead of physical damage.
  - Dark Depths – Step through the shadows, striking a random player with Jaws from the Deep.
    Jaws from the Deep – Bites a player, inflicting 1559 Shadow damage immediately with an additional 1367 Shadow damage every 1 sec for 4 sec.
  - Concealing Murk – Upon death, Abyss Stalkers release a cloud of Concealing Murk for 12 sec. Players within the cloud suffer 1501 Shadow damage every 2 sec and have their hit chance reduced by 75%.

Stage One: Ten Thousand Fangs

Thousands of creatures rise from the depths of the ocean to assist their mistress.

Slicing Tornado – Slicing tornados sweep across the platform, inflicting 3211 Physical damage every 1 sec for 20 sec.
A Slicing Tornado coming into contact with Concealing Murk reduces its efficacy.
Thundering Shock – Jellyfish rise up from the waters, charging up to inflict 235 Nature damage and stun players within 8 yds for 8 sec.
Striking a murloc with Thundering Shock knocks it off a player and makes it vulnerable to attack.
Consuming Hunger – Beckons forth several Razorjaw Waverunners, which attach themselves to players, inflicting 95 Physical damage every 2 sec.
Being struck with Thundering Shock knocks the murloc off of the target, making it vulnerable to attack.
- Razorjaw Waverunner
  - Water Blast – Murlocs shoot water at players at low range, inflicting 2822 Frost damage.
  - Murloc Mash – Each dismounted murloc increases the damage done and cast speed of all other dismounted murlocs within 15 yds by 75%.

Stage Two: Terrors of the Deep

Deep sea leviathans approach and answer the call of their master.

Beckon Sarukel – Mistress Sassz'ine calls forth Sarukel, the Unending Hunger to swallow everything whole.
- Devouring Maw – Sarukel opens his maw, sucking in all players and inflicting 2807 Frost damage every 2 sec. If a player comes within 15 yds of Sarukel, they are devoured whole. Upon inhaling 5 Befouling Ink clouds, Sarukel becomes disgusted and flees.
  - Devour Whole – Players who get within 15 yds of Sarukel while his maw is open are killed instantly.
Summon Ossunet – Mistress Sassz'ine calls forth Ossunet, the Darkness to obstruct her foes.
- Befouling Ink – Ossunet sprays ink clouds about, sticking to players who enter them. Ink clouds inflict 2201 Shadow damage every 2 sec, reducing movement speed by 15% and can be carried to Sarukel, The Unending Hunger to drive him away.
Call Vellius – Mistress Sassz'ine calls forth Vellius, the Drowning Tide to smash her enemies.
- Crashing Wave – Vellius crashes through the area, inflicting 91628 Frost damage to all players he comes in contact with, knocking them back.

Stage Three: Vast Oceans of Wrath

Mistress Sassz'ine uses her full powers to wipe away her enemies.

Summon Ossunet – Mistress Sassz'ine calls forth Ossunet, the Darkness to obstruct her foes.
- Befouling Ink – Ossunet sprays ink clouds about, sticking to players who enter them. Ink clouds inflict 2201 Shadow damage every 2 sec, reducing movement speed by 15% and can be carried to Sarukel, The Unending Hunger to drive him away.
