Which +fishing gear/enchants don't stack?

Several *inaccuracies* are still being told about this item and what no longer stacks +fishing! However, it's pretty simple:

All base bonuses on fishing gear and pole stack. Any hat (Lucky Fishing Hat/Weather-Beaten Fishing Hat/), boots Nat Pagle's Extreme Anglin' Boots/Boots of the Bay) and pole (too many to list here) all stack, no matter how high or low their bonus is, and they will all stack with consumables like Captain Rumsey's Lager too.
It's only the +5 enchants (pole/gloves) that don't stack; so, only this Angler enchant and High Test Eternium Fishing Line don't stack.
HERE'S THE TRICK: You can stack +3 enchant on pole (Spun Truesilver Fishing Line) with this +5 enchant on gloves for a total of +8!
Similarly, you can stack +5 enchant on pole with +2 enchant on gloves (Enchant Gloves - Fishing) for a total of +7. Therefore, not having the best pole enchant is effectively the best way to increase your overall fishing by +1. However, +5 on pole seems much easier to get than +3 since you can obtain it from the 3 first places in Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza plus the rare fish that doesn't have a too bad rate, whereas you can only get +3 quite rarely from a TBC daily.

That's all there is to it.

As a curiosity, the Angler enchant was known to have several issues with its rod requirements:

This enchant was included in the 3.3 patch, learned from the drop Formula: Enchant Gloves - Angler (more comments to be found there). For the longest time it said it required "Runed Cobalt Rod", which existed in early WotLK PTR but was never implemented in the release. In reality, it required Runed Titanium Rod, but since it was learned at 375 and didn't have any level requirement itself (tested on vellum), one would expect it to work with the previous Runed Eternium Rod (from TBC, since there was absolutely no other enchanting rod in WotLK).

Before all that (in mid November '09 3.3 PTR data, when the formula didn't exist yet), this item would require "Runed Azurite Rod" instead, something even odder since only Azurite Bar has existed in game data but was also never implemented.

It would be nice way to skill up enchanting. Unfortunately it requires a Runed Cobalt Rod which doesn't exist in the game. Which effectively means it requires a Runed Titanium Rod which requires 425 enchanting at which point this recipe will already be grey.

Also, although the tooltip still shows it as +2, the old Enchant Gloves - Fishing enchant actually provides +5 skill now too.
