The formerly "broken" Questline of Eranikus finds itself prolonged - but you need Neutral reputation with the Brood of Nozdormu (36.000 rep) and a good raid guild, since you WILL need to kill one green dragon in the Hinterlands, Feralas, Ashenvale and Duskwood. Each.

How does one become neutral with them, if their hated? It's not by much but they still hate me a little. Which mobs can I kill to become more friendly like with Brood of Nozdormu?

You will find Malfurion inside Sunken Temple at the very last boss, should appear infront of Eranikus.

I do realise it's shown on the screenshot-thingy, but not everyone knows ST well enough to know that. :)

Confirmed to count towards Loremaster of Eastern Kingdoms (Horde). I can only assume it works for the Alliance Version as well.

Seems an important fact was neglect on the comments so far, the "agent" you actually need to find to complete this quest upon reaching it is:

Forest Wisp, Teldrassil, coords: 37,5; 48 (directly north of Darnassus' main gates)

This quest is of course one of the most annoying, and plot holed quests in Warcraft Lore, especially if you play a Horde character.

Malfurion is able to communicate with his agent, yet cannot have his agent tell the guards not to attack you as you run through Darnassus to get to his agent. Secondly, the wisp is able to communicate both with Tyrande and you, so we can presume that the wisp understands both Darnassian and <Insert either Common, Orcish or other racial language>. This leads me to question why the wisp does not just teach you Darnassian so you can go talk to Tyrande yourself, or at least tell the guards not to attack you as you run back out through Darnassus. Or if that is too much, at the very least, offer to teleport you to Moonglade (or have one of the druids do that if that is too powerful of a spell for a wisp to cast), since time is of the essence after all, and it would be a tragic loss if the one who holds the fate of the world in their hands was killed by the people who are telling you what you should do to save the world!

I mean, c'mon Blizzard... This just doesn't make any sense.

OK,....in order to get that stupid Shade Dragon to wake up you must do the following things.
1) Get yourself into the Hall of the Cursed by going up a path, it is not the first two pillars going up and down on your right and left as you come in. It's one of the others...

2) When inside Hall of the Cursed, it's a ring you run around, very long. There are secret passages on the left and right, go in each one, and find these Trolls who are summoning , with a green aura over their heads. KILL THEM ALL! The trolls must die before Shade awakens.

3) The Trolls who summon are named.. Zul'Lor, Zolo, Mijan, Hukku, and Loro. They are a easy to find one you get one killed. Also you can generally kill one, and look over to the far left or right and see another with the green aura summoning. Kill the Troll Summoners.

4) When all the Troll summoners are dead you will hear Yelling Roleplay and hear that the Shield is down.

This quest is horribly annoying is that the description is incredibly vague on where to find the quest guy. Nor does it tell you the name of who you're looking for.

The quest person you are looking for is a wisp (named "Wisp"). It can be found just inside Teldrassil from the gates of Darnassus. Upon leaving the gate, turn left and head up the path to the north. It's just left off the path hidden in a little cul-de-sac.

This is easy for Alliance to do, but horde will need to venture through the city. As Darnassus is usually mostly empty this shouldn't be a problem, but take 2-3 friends along as company (and for pvp fun).

As for how to start this quest, the questline begins in Silithus with the dragons in Tanarsis. The questline eventually splits into several "sub-lines" of which this is one.

u need to do all prequests! then malfurion will spawn as soon as u are near eranikus in Sunken temple

Could anyone tell how to get this quest as a Horde?

It says you need to go to Darnassus... wel if i just look at their guards i will be dead meat....

So please tell me how to get this quest as a horde ^^

It's no problem to get through Darnassus as Horde if you are 60 or higher. At 60 i walked up to Auberdine in Darkshore, got out to the boat to Teldrassil and went up to the village on the coast of the island.. From there i took the portal into Darnassus and just ran for it. The guards there are so few, and scattered, so it's really no problem avoiding them. A clue is to use the pools, which are empty of all but frogs and fish :P
You can probably do this under 60 too, but you will have to watch so you don't aggro too many guards here and there.
As someone said up here; when you get out of the gates of Darnassus, you just go up to the left and find a Wisp.. Hope you can figure it out. Good luck!

i went to Darnassus.....,but couldn´t find that stupid wisp with that q.

It was easy to get there as a lvl 60 druid, but the guards are lvl 65 so they detected me.
Anyways, where is that stupid little blue flying wisp. Yeah its in Darnassus but where excactly.

BTW look out for the guards, alot of them are there (if you are horde)

Once inside of The Temple of Atal'Hakkar Instance Head for the room where the Shade of Eranikus is. If one of you are on the AQ Sceptar questline he will appear as you walk upto the Shade. Then he will give you a little story and give you a quest to talk to a Agent of his outside of Darnassus.

Solo as 60 warlock:

1) enter instance (can be done without aggroing a single mob, but void is your insurance here).
2) go to the middle right hallway and up the stairs
3) turn right above the stairs, pass Hukku and jump down (take care not to aggro whelps down there). If you are in combat with some NPC on the 1st floor, they would evade and you should leave combat
4) take stamina gear, summon void, apply SS, prepare HS
5) run through the south hallway so your void is going first, aggroing all mobs. When void is low HP, sacrifice him and continue running.
6) turn left and die somewhere safe
7) use SS (wait for dragons to go away)
8) approach Shade of Eranikus and Malfurion Stormrage appears
9) accept quest
10) hearthstone

Soloable by any level 60 class.

1. Enter instance and go through 2nd hallfway from the right. Hug the left and wait at the first stairs (do not go up yet).
2. Wait for the patrol to go down the stairs. Once they go down, you hug left and go up the stairs.
3. Go up 3 long flights of stairs. Once you see a trash pack, hug the right and go into the hallway. Keep going through hallway to balcony where mini-boss Zolo is at.
4. Jump down from balcony (don't aggro any mobs).
5. Walk through middle (don't fall into hole) and get close to southern hallway, there will be a trash pack impeding your way.
6. Rogues/Druids can stealth. Hunters can send pet and feign death. Warlocks can send pet, run, die, and SS. Rest of us use Invisibility Potion. Get close to the left side of hallway (don't aggro) and pop Invisibility Potion (helps to have move speed to boots). Keep running and keeping to the left.
7. Watch the patrol path of Hazzas and Morphaz, your Invisibility Potion will expire near the corner where you turn left towards Eranikus room. I got lucky and they were on the far right, so I was able to safely keep running and made it towards Eranikus room. If Hazzas and Morphaz are on the left, don't go past the corner and wait for them to patrol through and then make a run for it.

For SOD and anyone going for the mount questline, you will need to clear to Eranikus to get the quest. You can also zone into a cleared raid ID and walk to the room to get malfurion to spawn but if it's not cleared, you will need to clear to at least Shade's room.

Travel to the continent of Teldrassil and find Malfurion's agent somewhere outside the walls of Darnassus.

Description

This is a journey of redemption, hero. Would it be that I was slain today, I would have died for a just and righteous cause. You must recover the green scepter shard. You must cleanse Eranikus of the taint placed upon him by the Old Gods.

Travel to Darnassus. Just outside the city walls you will find one of my agents. This agent will set things in motion for us and inform Tyrande of our plans without alerting Staghelm.

<Malfurion sighs.>
