On the southern shore of Stranglethorn Vale, you'll find two Bloodsail camps and a rowboat. The charts and orders can spawn in either of the camps or on the rowboat. The Swashbucklers will be all around along the southern shore.

I cannot pick up the documents I find around the camps and my bloodsail swashbuckler kills are not counting. The quest is in my log, but nothing seems to be counting for it. Any ideas?

Does anyone have any idea on why I am unable to pick up the charts? I have all 10 kills plus the orders, but it won't let me pick up the charts. I have done it with a group, without a group. I have no idea what else to do. I can see the charts, a couple times in the boat, and then again in the tent. Please let me know what to do in order to beat this mission.

If you took orders and CANT, just cant, find charts, delete orders, pick up orders again from one of the spawns and charts will spawn.

there are 1 spawnpoint by the tenth, 1 by the boat and 3 in large camp.

One spawnpoint is on the create at the screenshot, the other 2 are by the table, one on the chair and one on the actuall tabel

Yeah right, if you have a lousy patience, do not try to do this quest now. the Charts appearing seems about the same category with an angel landing on the top of Big Ben, meaning, maybe sometimes has happened, but seems impossible. I have tried to destroy the orders, abandon and retake the quest etc etc and no goddamn charts anywhere. always the orders. This sucks.

Huh...I musta got lucky. Found the orders in the boat and the charts on the table, and only had to kill three or so warlocks and a swashbuckler to get the charts. Level 45 BE pally; exorcism is a great thing against those imps!

This quest has (in the past) been one of the worst rumps because nobody wants to kill the warlocks- and the warlocks seem to share a spawn with the swashbucklers. Believe me, finding the orders/charts is usually the easy part.

As a shaman, at least, if you drop a stoneclaw totem by the demon before doing anything else, you'll distract it long enough for you to scrag its master, then finish it off at your leisure.

BTW, there seems to be two separate spawn points in the boat, because I found both in it at the same time- one on the seat and one on the floor.

Found both of mine on a boat at 27.75 , 83.12. Out of the range of a pair of warlocks by a tent. One at a time is ok, but two warlocks + two minions = sad panda!

Quest is bugged/incorrect. The Swashbuckler type mobs do not exist, possibly Blizzard got confused with the Raiders, as there are only Raiders, Warlocks and Mages. So even though you can get the quest items you will not be able to finish as it asks you to kill 10 mobs that don't exist, heh.

Quest doesn't seem bugged for me. Bloodsail swashbuckler's spawn at the confirmed co ordinates (27,83) in Stranglethorn. They tend to stand infront of each tent entrance with a couple wandering around close by.

Chart and Orders at 28.73 but the swashbucklers are harder then anything to find. 2 spawn at the camp with the charts and the rest are scattered along the beach. Might have to wait for a few respawns to get all 10

If you don't find the charts & orders at one spot, just go back and forth. I went down to the big camp and found the order and walked back up to the small camp and found the charts.

"Up to Snuff" as mentioned above is a very good quest to do with this one as you get get a very good drop rate of snuff from the swashbucklers and an okay rate from the warlocks. Be careful as the warlocks do have imps & succubus' minions and I've seen 3 of them at the big camp in close proximity.

I was late doing this quest and soloed it as a level 47 enhancement shaman. But you should be able to do it at a lower level.

This quest is horrible on high population servers. I've been at it for a half hour and only have 3 swashers down, thanks to A) warlocks spawning too much and B) everybody is hogging the swashbucklers. Good luck if you're on a high/full pop server.

For some who may have done this quest a few times and you think there are just 2 places they(Bloodsail Charts and the Bloodsail Orders) spawn ( like we did) there are more. Most of the time the items can be found in the little boat and on a crate in the large camp.
But they can also be found in the small camp right next to each other, one on a box and the other almost in the tent.
The next is both in the large camp and to the N of the guy who is green, I think one was on a box and the other on the ground.
Someone in our group said they once found one on a box in the small camp and the other on a box in the larger camp.
So far, I have not found them split except for the boat and the box by the large camp.
Yes, grab the up to snuff quest because that drop rate is just so so and it gets worse when 3 are trying to do it.

Another spawn point for the Swashbucklers, though a little out of the way, is just southwest of the Gurubashi Arena, around 23,53. If the area east of Booty Bay is heavily camped, you may want to check it out.

One of the documents is located at the right hand side of a tent, guarded by Warlocks. The second document is further down the shore, located in a boat.

WArlock is easy - banish demon pet - kill caster -use eye of kilrogg to find where the roder/charts are as they randomly spawn

It starts at the small camp then the boat becomes clickable then teh big camp. When somone picks up at one place the clickable goes to next place.

When you click you get the first item then when you click 2nd time you get second item, regardless of where you are.

Example: I got item 1 at the small camp, went to big camp and ran into AC. I saw the plans as clickable in the big camp (so AC must have got the boat) but by time I fought thorugh AC and camp plans no longer clickable.

I fought round the camp waiting for plans to respawn and it never happened so I checked back at first camp and the charts were there where I had picked up other item.

The tent in the smaller camp (29,80) holds a document spawn point. The small boat near the large camp (26.83) holds a spawn point. Within the large camp there's a spawn point on a crutch near the tailoring trainer and on a pile of crates (the most northern one) next to a tent.

IMPORTANT: If you have either of the orders or charts documents and can't seem to find the remaining document but do see a document that does not allow for it to be picked up on any of the aforementioned spawn points, then destroy the document you have, pick the document up and the remaining document will instantly spawn on any of the points I mentioned.

Did it with a level 43 mage... it was pretty hard though. The chart and orders spawned at the main camp. What I found out is that generally you only have to deal with 2 mobs at a time. Kill all the surrounding mobs before you attack the ones inside the circle of tents. It's also a good idea to kill those crabs that are running around in case you accidentally frost nova one of them while you're fighting the buccaneers.

If you run around and get a good look at the camp you'll see how the four that are standing in the middle are grouped together. They're standing in pairs of two and will (I think) only assist the one they're paired with. If it's two swashbucklers, sheep one while you take down the other, then take down the sheep. If it's a swashbuckler and a warlock, sheep the warlock, take down the pet, take down the swashbuckler, then take the sheep. Remember to use counterspell against the warlock.

Now the tricky part... if two warlocks are paired. For some reason I couldn't tell if the remaining two warlocks were actually paired together or not. The first time I attacked, the other one assisted. The second time, though, they didn't, lucky for me. In that case I just took care of one warlock at a time by sheeping the warlock, killing the pet, then killing the sheep. Assuming the other warlock assists, though, sheep one then counterspell the other, take care of their pets, kill the warlock, then kill the sheep. The sheep will probably break while you're finishing off the warlock, so be careful. You'll need to use ice barrier/mana shield and will probably need to use a healing pot as well. If it looks like you're going to die, run/blink like hell into the water and then come back and try again. I had to do this when my counterspell resisted. Maybe if you're lucky they won't assist the second/third/fourth/fifth/!@#@%% time you try it.

It was hard, but doable. Good luck and don't get too frustrated.

The orders and charts spawn at different locations everytime they are taken. they are either on crates at the camps at 27,82 and 29,80 or in the aformentioned boat. They are not necessarily in the same camp, i.e. one could be at 27,82 while the other paper is in the boat or at 29,80, etc.

The pictures above are correct, however there is one missing, head down the coast to (30:80) to a loan tent at they have a chance of spawing there also.

The quest is quite hard however a level 41 rogue has little trouble, Sap and blind as needed, Blade Flurry helps as long as your combat spec.

Was easy, finding everything with the coordinates other people gave made it easy. I wouldnt recommend doing this quest before level 40 as I struggled a bit.

This one was a pain. There are two camps, the big one and the small one further east. The small one is easyish, the big one was a nightmare. The scroll&chart; can be found in the tent in the small camp. In the main camp one's on the tailor's table, the other is on the crates east of the tailor.

Note: If you've got a party, you'll need to go back and forth. We found that one person dragging aggro and the other rushing in was the easiest way.

Spent some time looking for these charts.
NO there not within the boat next to the orders.
you will find the charts on the table in the main camp on the table next to the boat, be carefull there surrounded by the mob & hard to get, being a warlock. I sent my Void In & took the charts as the void aggro them to it, then I Run off again.

Looks like the charts and orders can come up in three spots: Small camp, Big Camp and Boat.

For me the Charts were in the Boat and the orders were in the Small Camp.

To get to the camps you can exit Booty Bay, turn right and run down to the beach, which is northeast of the camps. Better is to jump in the water in Booty Bay and swim west and south past the big cannons and eventually you come to the big camp which is on the southwest end of the Wild Shore beach. There I had no trouble killing the ten swashbucklers, taking my time and being careful not to agg the mages and their minions. I then swam to the boat, which is east of the big camp. Found the orders there and swam back to the camp without a hitch. There I found the charts which were on a table by the tailor. I camped up the cliff behind him and died twice trying for the charts. Mages and minion in the camp got me. Gave it up and came back today and this time the charts were in the boat, did not see the orders, got the charts after agging and killing one swash and swam back to BB. 40 priest solo.

So the charts and orders move around. Forget trying to fight down the beach, swim around from BB.

The place is correct, but just to warn pallys, try to kill a lot of them off before just running in with bubble. They can trap you, and once your bubble runs out you are screwed. So my advice would be to kill them off than do what you need to do.

The coordinates and descriptions of regen spots have been accurately detailed in most of the preceeding posts so I won't bother here.

I solo'd (sort of) as L41 Lock with Void, who I sacraficed many times. LOL. Anyway I put the wand away and went with the spell stone and that made the difference with taking out the Bloodsail locks. Used the void to tank the minions and draw the fire of the MOB 'locks and DOT the minion first, who goes down quickly after that and then dot the MOB Lock and drain mana, bolt, immolate, drain mana...you get the picture.

If you are only doing this quest you will get frustrated because the respawn rates are very slow for the quest items and very fast for the MOBs and you will draw plenty of attention in the mean time so.....

Do yourself a favor and couple this quest with:

https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/quest=576/keep-an-eye-out which is enchanted eye retrieval quest.

All 3 can be obtained in Booty Bay so make sure you have all 3. The reason is simple; while you are killing and killing and killing some more you will easily complete the other two quests while waiting for this quest items to respawn. The eye actually dropped right out of the gate for me so don't know if that was luck or if it will drop with the first buc you kill.

I say I sort of solo'd because, though I was able to get to the boat and small tent locations easy, the large camp is formidible for a non tank char so I just waited for others in the area to team up with them to go in but then you have to roll (if you have any decency, if you don't then just run in and take the item while they are fighting) for it and I lost the roll twice. I ended up getting the chart from the boat and the map from the small camp.

Took about 1.5 - 2 hours for me but I am not the most skilled PVE (or PVP) player either so it may go faster for you...

i just did as a 45 gnome mage. both happened to spawn at the big camp. i ran in, aoe'd the &*!@ out of em all, took the charts/orders, finished killing the 10 swashbucklers, and handed in. i guess i just got lucky with spawn points?

I think the spawns are random I cleared the small camp and was not in boat.

Ok i found them together, one on the right side of the horde salesman and on the other, left side of him (the tailor or leatherworking guy..) i submitted a screen shot. I was a solo'ing lvl 49 warrior, so i had no problem with aggro or pulling them, just grabbed and went, though i was lazy and waited 4 years to do this quest i wont get as much xp as you will if you do it green or yellow. Um, after reading the previous comments I decided to try doing this q solo as lvl 42 aff warlock. The best directions to the place is to swim west from BB and then south. Surprisingly, this quest was reaally easy. The locks weren't a problem, since I just put my VW to attack the lock and then put DoT's on the minion and then the dot's on the warlock and hit him with a bolt and immolate. The minions died way before the lock and I ended up losing only a little bit of mana. The mobs are spread out so you don't need to kill two mobs at the same time (except the locks and their minions).

The quest took me about 25 min not counting the swimming. I thought this was easily soloable and you get xp from both the minions and the locks.

Also, I found both the items in the first camp, the other was on the table in the middle and the other one in the boat.

I did this with my lvl 38 hunter. Nothing hard. just sent my pet there and all the warlocs took him on, took the documents and ran away. then just killed some buccaneers which were very easy. If you are lvl 38 and 2 warlocs or a warloc and a warrior attack you, theres no point. just run or feign death..
Oh and theese coords helped alot, although i dont get the poit of the tiny boat...

Solo at 38 mage. (Dinged to 39 half-way through. Fairly easy quest for a mage. Just aggro one at a time and pull them onto the deck where you have the freedom and room to FN them and CoC like all mages do.

Actually, they are easy to find, there are 2 smalls camps, on each one there's a tend with the item you need, and there's also a boat in the middle of the 2 camps, it may be there too.

Okay I did this quest with the up to snuff quest which was a nice little bonus. I found one map in the boat and the orders I couldnt find in the camps I was looking all over and Im a 39 rogue so I was able to ditract and stealth in. Then I read here and that made all the difference make sure that you LOOK INSIDE the tents, not just sround the camp, I found the orders 1 min after looking on here inside the tent in the small camp to the east, finished quest in about 20 min including killin all the swashbucklers. Gl

I'm on this quest at the minute, but just got both the documents needed without a fight. The one in the boat was unguarded, but the one at 27,83 was. As I'm a 39 Druid, I prowled up, jumped onto the box, and then onto the tent, hoping it would give me the time needed to open the document before I was attacked.

Turns out I couldn't be attacked on the tent. I had a swashbuckler aggro onto me, but just stood there staring, and a warlock that completely ignored me both well within aggro range. So if you get lucky and your spawns are in these locations, feel free to pick off your 10 swashbucklers from the edges, and you have an easy quest for a bucket load of exp.

I had no problems with this q as a 42 shadow priest. cleared camp one by one, then took charts - got aggro of two 43 swashbucklers, killed them, mission accomplished.

Level 43 Hunter. I couldn't ever get all the camp cleared wtihout 3 or 4 of them attacking me at the same time. Died many times before just sending in my pet and running in to get the chart on the box. Then ran away with 4 mages pounding on me. They are way too overpowered and it's not fair. They hit for 3 times what I can do to them. But I died and at least finished the stupid quest. It will be a while before I try the next part.

Soloed this as a lv43 priest (shadow spec)...
One is in each camp...the charts are sitting on a box in the first camp. There is a chest with some food next to it (which may be why people think its not there). The orders are in the second one.
The first camp is easier than the second one.
I single pulled everything except one place where you have to take 2(4 if you count pets). I tested it by hit and run to see if I could split em...nope...then went back and mind controled one, got the dood killed...then wiped the other.

Take your time and dont let em run on you...

I found this quest very ez, as a 43 rogue. the casters are no problem just sap em, take out the pet then destroy them. For any one 42-44 range i still defienetly recomend getting a group together for this one.

I found both the chart and the orders in the same area, the first camp. The orders where in a little tent and the orders where beside it on a box.

Oh ya and if u get this quest get the quest "up to snuff" they go hand in hand these guy drop the snuff for the quest

There was a chart at the 2nd campsite on table next to Cowardly Crosby who sells Tailoring supplies but I couldnt pick it up, probably somebody picked it up before me and it just hadn't respawned yet. 2nd camp table 26,82

I killed the 10 swashbuckers and found the charts on the row boat (easy snatch, no mobs near), but had to "hire" someone from Booty Bay to simply run through the second camp where the orders are, getting every mob's attention ... giving me enough time to easily grab the orders (while the good samaritan prompty dies).

Pay the repairs on his equipment, at least ... poor bait ;)

I found both the Charts and the Orders in the boat at the shore at the camp with three tents (27,83).
First picked up the Orders, came back after having killed some swashbucklers, then the Charts were there. Neat :-)
In between I also saw the Charts on the table next to the npc "cowardly crosby" (still in the camp with the three tents), but someone else picked them up and they dissapeared.
3600 XP as lvl 40.

Once you exit the fish's mouth at Booty Bay, go right. Once you get to the beach, follow the beach to the right. You will run into a Bloodsail tent. The chart spawns on top of a crate, and the orders spawn inside the tent. If they're not in that camp, go further down the beach. You will se another Bloodsail tent. To the left of the tent you will find a row boat. In the row boat is one of the documents. Then go inside the camp, and you will find the other document on a crate to the right of the camp.

If the documents aren't at one camp, go to the other one. They are also character sensitive, so if you're in a group, and one person takes the document. It won't respawn at that location again. You will have to go to the camp to find it spawned fresh there.

it looks like to me that they are random, becuase people say they find both in one spot or both in different spots. Well so far i found the orders in the boat, but when i go to the little base where the charts are, there not there so as of now i guess i wait to see where the darn chart pops up.

I did this quest in a group.

Once looted, the Charts/Orders will despawn. Only one per spawn.

There are three spawn locations for us.
-Both camps.
-Near the beached raft near the two camps.

I've seen both spawn next to eachother, too.

New to the game, we didn't know any advanced single-pulling methods beyond watching the agro radiuses and using a ranged weapon to pull. In a couple of cases, we ended up having to fight the entire camp. Even for a 41 Warrior (Arms) and 40 Priest (Holy), this was difficult.

there are 4 location for them to spawn at. there are always at least one set of both up at all times. The single tent that you pass can have orders on the box outside the tent and the chart can be inside the tent. the small boat can have both. The last camp at the end can have them on the boxes near the first tent or on the chair next to Crosby. respawn time is zero, it is just in one of the other locations.

one was at 26,82 on the table and the other at 27 83 in the boat these were both gained at the second camp this in no way suggests yours will be there but they may as for the swashbucklers they are found along the coast around 28,81 :D watch the warlocks

Probably the hardest non elite/dungeon quest ive had to do in my first 42 levels. The warlocks do insane damage like 250 every 2-3 seconds. and its an odd aggro range to judge cause they link with their pets and often they're walking in opposite directions. after dying a few times at the southern camp by the boat i just sacrificed my pet to get the chart.

I thought it was a more difficult quest but still soloable. Got my orders out of the small boat, and the charts in the small camp, right next to the tent. Only had to kill a few mobs to get to the orders, and I accidently pulled 3 trying to get the charts, good thing I'm a pally :).

solo'ed as a 40 druid....had a rought time actually

i found myself running a lot and i could only fight off 2 mobs at most and if i encountered more than one lock mob i was obliterated....for the locks....the ones with imps can be 2 shotted.....its the succ minions that are ridiculous

to make a short story even shorter..

be careful when you are doing this quest as a 40 druid...some of my mobs were skulls..

Obviously, there are plenty of swashbucklers all up and down the beach (their disarm is extremely frustrating. I'd usually do a Stun and Judgement of Command on them when they disarmed as a kind of "So there!").

The papers were both in the second camp(farther down the beach camp with multiple tents and "Cowardly" Cosby) for me. I killed a swashbuckler and snuck as close as I could and got one (on a crate outside a tent) without aggro but the other was on the table near "Cowardly" Cosby (and two warlocks and their pets), so I had to wait until a party came along doing the "Up to Snuff" quest and pulled the warlocks (to be fair I ganked one of the warlocks and his imp) and the rest of the camp.

The documents faded away after I clicked on them and did not immediately respawn somewhere else (I went back through the other camp and the rowboat on my way back). I don't know what the respawn time is.

right outside of booty bay take a right, go down along the beach. there will be 2 bloodsail camps. look all around the camps for the charts/orders. will either be in the row boat by the second camp, by one of the tents, on a box..wherever. I found one by the tent of the first camp and one on a box by the second. 42-43 lvl bloodsails, some with imps...fairly simple just don't try to take them all at once.

You can do Raptor Mastery, Up to Snuff, and Bloodsail Buccaneers at the Same time...snuff was a pretty low drop rate, but you can acquire it from any of the Bloodsailors.

...Oh and its a fun quest to do with a friend. I would imagine you would have to be level 42 or higher to complete the quest solo (usually).

Well I found the charts in the Warlock camp, I managed to hold my own as a 47 Rogue, though I did take everything I had.

I searched the normal spots for the orders, then I searched all 3 pirate ships but as it turns out they were in the tent of the very first camp on the beach!

So for those of you having trouble locating them, be sure to check there as well

You also need to kill 10 bloodsail swashbucklers, this quest is nigh impossible to solo below the quests level due to the high concentration of warlocks that are tied.

Yeah, i just was looking at the camp on top of the boxes couldnt find the orders, thought it was a long respawn. then checked back in the boat where the charts were, and there they were :S both were at 29,80

I solo'd my 44 mage using counterspell on the locks & mana shield w/greater mana pots. Both were in the rowboat on the shore down from the 2 tents.

I picked up this quest as a 39 druid, but have done it many times before with other classes, although usually not attempted until 40 or 41. For this toon using cat form, I was able to pull just the Swashbucklers one at a time using Faerie Fire (Feral) to get my 10 count. Then prowl in to the single tent twice where the charts and orders spawned, and dash before the several Warlocks could kill me.

Normally you would do this quest along with Keep An Eye Out and Up to Snuff. Although the eye dropped quite quickly for me while killing the Bloodsail Swashbucklers, I only managed get a small number of the Snuff. It appears to drop less than 30% of the time between them and the Bloodsail Warlocks, and less for other Bloodsail mobs.

Solo-ed as 42 Hunter.

First camp, just clear out the Bucc at the outside. Then only two Warlocks (in my case) left inside the camp. Send it pet for aggro, and take em out with long range...no problem. Just take out the Imps first and then Locks are no issue. If you're lucky there is a solid chest as well to loot.

Second camp it more difficult as the warlock around the Orders tends to walk backwards a bit in the camp and aggro a whole slew of mobs. Take out as many on the outside of the camp. Then go to side of the camp where the crates are. Send in pet to Warlock, and tried to kill as many as I could before pet died. Feigned death when they came after me. Rezz pet and repeat process one/two more times. Should then have cleared enough mobs to go to Orders and take em.

One chart in first tent 30,81. One chart in rowboat just down the shore at 27,82. Swashbucklers are at tents and on shore between tents. There are Warlocks with pets everywhere, did as level 42 Human Warlock, my Voidwalker helped alot, wouldntt be able to do it alone or without a group at my present level.

Head out of Booty Bay, and hang a right as you exit the "jaws" tunnel (passing the GY). Once at the beach, go south along the shore. You'll pass one Bloodsail camp, and upon reaching the second... this is where I found the Charts and Orders. You may find one of the items on a beached row boat next to the camp, if looted it usually respawns within the camp on a box.

On another note, those Warlocks with their Succubus pets are no fun for a duo of 38's.

the charts somtimes spawn inside of the second camp, on crate. Which means if your trying it solo, your not going to make it. Too many mobs, too close together. I have to agree with jvanalst, this quest should've been elite, even if none of the mods are

From what I saw, if your charts and orders spawned in either the little boat (very easy) or the smaller camp which is closer to the north, then you have it easy. At most some double pulls, but nothing you shouldn't be able to handle at about 43 or 42. But, if the items spawned at the bigger camp you are in for it, it is hard as hell this way. There are 4 mobs in the camp and, at 41, I aggroed all of them whenever i got close enough to the orders. I had to call in some help from a mate, a 44 War. We alternated suicide runs so we could both get the items, ie. I ran in once and got their attention, ran away so he had time to loot both items and vanished. He did the same, but being a warrior, had no leet stealth rogue skills like myself and died, worked allright though.

The orders and charts change locations slightly from spawn to spawn.

But basically, you’ll find one at one camp and the other at the other camp.

Co-ords confirmed, 26,83 ish (on the beach directly south of the "A" in Booty Bay on the map). There's a small camp, with both the Orders and Charts on tables in the middle. If you pull the mobs with ranged attacks from the hill behind, only one at a time should aggro.

The little problem I had was with the Swashbucklers, not the items. Going along the beach it was purely Bloodsail Warlocks as far as the eye could see. Upon clearing the camp, two SBs spawned. TWO! Along with a bunch of Warlocks of course. It took three clears to get enough spawns to kill 10 of them...

It was easy. I just killed off the locks minions first <3 mind control XD
Then the locks were easy enough to kill after the MC wore off. Both of my pieces were in the large camp so it took a lil while to clean out. Also grabbed the pattern for the admirals hat there to add to my tailoring collection. LoL

Priests really are better. xoxox

My 39 priest shielded a 42 hunter, and while the Mage's were distracted with the pet and hunter, i simply ran in, grabbed both and ran out leaving my friend to die :(

Did this one as a level 41 hunter, and it wasn't as hard as I thought. I just sent my pet and my chicken in to distract the warlocks and then snuck in to get the charts and orders. I lost my pet, but they can always be resurrected, right?

Please don't report me for animal cruelty though....

The best way to get to the camp is to just jump in the water at Booty Bay and swim around- nothing between BB and the camp to worry about.

The charts were in the boat on the east side of the camp and respawned within 5 minutes so that everyone in our group could easily get them.

The orders are on a table in the middle of the camp with 2 groups of 3 pirates, each of which has at least one warlock.

I was a 39 rogue when I did this quest and as I tried to open the orders they all agrod on me. Rogue can easily approach the camp in stealth as long as you are 36 or highr. We had 3 rogues in my group at varying levels and this was our observation. It is impossible to get the orders without drawing their agro because it disrupts the opening process. You must kill them all.

The warlocks hit hard but fall easily. After killing the group and getting the 2 items you will have had more than enough kills to acquire the 10 minimum buccaneers.

It was fairly hard since i was waiting for the respawn in one camp when it respawns in the other as well. i fairly idiotic thing that was... I got the orders in that little boat part way in the water...When you go out of Booty Bay (through that tunnel) go to the right, when you get to the turn to the left go down into that sort of valley where the pirates are go down to water and turn right. there 2 camps a ways down... the charts will be in one of those camps.

It's nice to get a quest once in awhile that doesn't require a ton of grinding or fighting your way in through several layers of mobs to kill an elite boss. This one is straight forward with the exception of shifting map/chart grab locations (which is part of what makes the game interesting in the first place). As others have mentioned, I found one item in the lightly protected rowboat on the shore and the other on a stack of crates on the north side end of the larger camp. The large camp requires a bit of problem solving, but not too much. This was an opportunity for my warlock to use a skill I use so seldom, I forget I have it. The most difficult item is protected by the camp which means you face a serious health risk running into an enemy concentration where you don't know exactly where the object will be. That's the difficult part of this quest. Eye of Kilrogg is a Warlock skill that has limited usefulness, but is very useful in some situations. Essentially it's a long range seeing device that can wander around in place of you to spy things out. The problem with this skill is that monsters can easily detect and kill it. Pirates and other human-like beings, however, can not detect it. In this situation I sent the eye into the camp to look around and find the item and it did so with no trouble. It makes it a lot easier to figure your approach which was to kill off the guards between the two camps and approach along the foot of the cliff. I pulled the nearest buccaneer to the crates by casting a dot and when he was dead and my VW and i were at full health, I sent the tank to kill the mage in the main group protecting the center of the camp. He drew them all and I was able to grab the quest item without getting hit--then sacrifice my dying VW and run for the water. All-in-all a good quest.

got me 13 bars (rested the whole way) to get 15 snuffs after finishing this quest for the quest Up To Snuff. i'd double this. as for the fighting, 42 lock (semi-twinked at 39) solo'd it quite easily. although things did get hairy here and there. never died.

VERY IMPORTANT:
You can get stuck on this quest. For example: if you loot the charts, someone else loots the orders and leaves.

Then it can happen that the charts spawn but not the orders and nobody loots those charts.

The only solution then is to destroy your charts, restart the quest (go back to Booty Bay to re-aquire the quest) and loot those charts yourself so you can make the orders spawn.

TL;DR if you're stuck on this quest having one item but not the other and it doesn't spawn, you need to restart the quest.

yes, on the 44 mage I despaired at the document at the big camp with the four warlocks and their minions but the next day the document was at the small camp, I managed to kill the swashbuckler and ran away and then sheeped the warlock whilst I killed the imp and then killed the lock.

TLDR: I was only able to pick up 1 set of papers. I could never pick up the 2nd set. I tried deleting them from my bags, and I could always pick up 1 set, but never the 2nd. I grouped up with another player, and when they finished the quest it completed for me too, and I was able to turn it in. Terrible bug that cost me a ton of time.

I could not get this quest completed. I killed the 10 swashbucklers, and I picked up the charts at the small tent. I found the orders at the camp, but I was unable to pick them up. I saw them on the table, but I could not pick them up when I moused over them. I tried doing what others suggested. I deleted the charts from my bags, and then I was able to pick up the ones on the table. This completed the charts again. I went to the boat, and saw another set spawn, but I could not pick them up. I tried deleting the set in my bags, and again, I was able to pick up the spawned ones that I was looking at.... I didn't know what to do.

Another player came by, and I explained my difficulty. They were on the same quest, so we grouped up to try to complete it together. I deleted the charts from my bags. I picked up the first set, and it completed the charts portion of the quest. They picked up the 2nd spawned charts. I was then unable to pick up a 2nd. I deleted the ones from my bag, and we went back to the tent. The orders looked different and spawned there, and I was able to pick those up, but it didn't complete the quest for me. We went back to the camp, and they were able to loot the orders from the table. Once we killed the last 2 swashbucklers.... it completed the quest for them... and it completed for me too!

Terrible and frustrating waste of time!

As of today, there was nothing at the small camp, but I found both sets of papers at the big camp; one set right near Crosby and the other on the far side of the tent near him. Weird but it worked.
