You can just loot the same box over and over again. Just wait for the box to respawn. Can be found on the hill with Blood elves or near the cliff. These blood elves hit little bit hard, but can be easily killed.

They are all inside small crates labeled "Kim'Jael's Equipment," but the locations can be a bit random I think so these may not be exact for you.

Pay attention to the fact that this Goblin is aligned with Booty Bay, and so if you complete his quest, you will lose Bloodsail Buccaneer reputation.

I picked this up as recomended to do along w my mage quest, since I already needed to kill the be's for their powder. However, long after I had all the powder, I had 3 items and my husband had 1, and we gave up. Not only do they have very very long aggro ranges, they also have very nasty AOE. They do, however, drop runecloth. . . .

wasn't so hard just the Blood elves eye can catch you from long distance btw try to avoid them there is a boxes that is not near them at all and also some boxes my have more than 1 item i found 2 in 1 box

Since there are no co-ords for this quest yet, I'm gonna add some exact co-ords of where to find the equipment.

--I started walkin in circles, up the hill there is one @ 57,28.
--While walking towards the crystals there is another @ 60,31.
--Walkin back downhill, there are three spawnpoints of crates around the tent @ 59,28.

Got all but the compass in the 3 first boxes i opened. I looted the compass
14 boxes later.. Maybe unlucky though but it's good to know so you don't wander
around and look for it as i did, was pretty confused; "Is it really in the box?"

Box takes 5min to respawn. Technically you can get all 4 questitems in 20min by picking up the same box every time. But only about 50% of the boxes drop a quest item. There is one box that doesn't even need fighting for at 58,25.

this quest isn't worth the trouble imo, the mobs have a high aggro range (i think, or is it just me?) i was level 55 and they aggroed me from quite a long range so i kept getting an extra mob on me, which wasn't helpful in a area with quite a few mobs close together - i wouldn't bother with this quest. as i said it took 16 boxes after i got the first three items from first box. it took me like 50 mins to complete this quest... >_<

Hmm.. Could anyone tell me how a simple questing (alliance) player can find this guy? (without wowhead or other sites)
I always do quests which lead to other quests and so on. Also, some quests lead to areas where You can find more quests. But in Azshara.. I was never sent to that part of Azshara so how can I find this guy 'by accident'? Maybe there is some other quest in some other land, saying you to go there? To go somewhere near here? Anyone can help me with this?

The hardest part about this quest is finding the NPC (Kim'jael is on a hill at 53,21.)

The items are picked up randomly from boxes laying around the camp.

not hard to find quest giver at all. approach given coords from due west. when you run into mountain and cant go up anymore, go around to the left, through a tree or two, then follow torches up to camp.

The blood elf camp is called thelassian base camp at 56,29 in azshara. You need to open the boxes marked kim jael's equipment it does not always have quest items in them but they are found there. Finished in 5 minutes. You should also do the Betrayed quest here at the same time.

Indeed, certain items do not spawn in specific places. I got two items out of one box, another from another box, and then found several boxes with just juice.
If they were in fixed locations that has been changed now.

Ok guys just camp at (58,28) kill the blood elfs and wait for the boxes to spawn in a few parts of the camp

I finished in a few mins got 2 items in one box.

On top of the Hill at 56,29 there are 3 more boxes. 1 more at 57, 29. Must apporach the hill from North or West, not from east. Apparently, alll 7 locations spawn randomly and only 3 are active at a time, so if you don't know about these three, you can get stuck, as I did.

The boxes that drop these items are half as tall as the normal crates.

To get to quest giver, go to 53, 20 (north side of hill) and go south up the slope.

for me its been hell... i found 2 items on the top of a hill with a lot of tents and BEs. using metamap the coords are...(56,29) for those that dont have a coord system its the house icon (on the map) SE from the legash encampment. the other I found just jumping of that hill. just becareful because those BEs have the highest aggro ive seen yet so they dont have to be around the box to defend it. so im left with to other items and the coords ive been getting drive me straight into the water, any tips or more accurate coords?

The respawn rate on the blood elves is very quick. The drop rate on the loot for the quest is low. Very hard quest for level 53 hunter solo. Bring a group for best results. AND many of the elves are healers!

Go to 55.29, (just south of questgiver) Kim'jael's crates are here (small wooden boxes)and once you take one another will respawn after a few seconds VERY nearby,
No need to go to anyother BE camps.

I needed about 45 minutes before I got everything. I opened every crate, but it took long before any equipment came out of it.

I opened 3 boxes and got the Compass, Chicken and Wizzlegoober. Then I opened 11 more boxes and got nothing but level 35 food (Raw Black Truffel, Fined Aged Cheddar, etc). Really annoying. Even more annoying are the mobs in the area. The Surveyors are alright, but the Reclaimers are very difficult. They hit for 300+ fire damage and they have Renew and Heal abilities. On some places there are groups of 2 Reclaimers and 1 Surveyor. As a level 55 Paladin I even had to Bubble-Heal and later Potion on one spot, because my SoC crits didn't proc to kill them fast enough. Very tedious quest. Hope I can finish it soon.

No items are associated with specific boxes, pay no attention to the above posts which place items that way. Pick an area like 57,28 where there are several boxes. Farm BE's while you wait for the boxes to respawn. After I figured that out it wasn't too bad. Going into the heart of the camp is almost suicide, the dudes have enormous aggro.

I was able to solo as a 51 Priest. Picked up all items in the first box I opened and only had to kill 5 blood elves :D

My 50 Mage had an interesting time with all the 51-53 bloodelves in the camp, mostly with the respawns and one permahealer, but the most interesting part was the boxes.

The first one had two items in it. The next two had lower-level food (Why below-quest-level items? Never have been able to understand that...). Then the third item was in the next box. Then nothing but trash in the next FIVE boxes!

I was doing this together with the mage quest, had finished that and was about to just bail out on this one because I was getting beaten up by the guys in the camp. Thought I would try just one more and voila!

The Kim'jael quests are worth doing because they add on to others you are doing in the area. Just have a little patience and good luck.

I did this quest with 3 other players (all of us separate) all vying for the same boxes. When I got it down to only needing one more item, I just hovered between 2 boxes. They spawn really fast. However, not every box contains the items you need. They contain other things, mainly food items. So make sure you take the food item to force the box to respawn. Just destroy it if you don't want it, but it forces the respawn. I swear they respawned in 1 minute or so.

Go to the Base Camp, search the boxes, fight off Elvish aggro, return to the Goblin.

I just did this as a 50 Gnome Rogue... Although the blood elves are a serious pain in the ass, I found a box that was only guarded by one elf, and in it were all four items. This was the first box I tried.

I must have gotten really lucky but someone was farming the area so i just went around and picked up 2 of the crates and they each had 2 of the items in it... took longer to get to the base camp than to complete the quest lol

Warning to those farming bloodsail rep.. this quest gives 385 Bootybay rep and decreases bloodsail rep by 350...

i am having trouble with the wizzlegoober... no matter how many times i make my rounds and open the boxes, all i get are food items. lol, i must have bad luck.

To get this quest, players need to go out of their way to find the quest giver, Kim'jael (for add-on users, location coordinates are 53,22 ... he's atop the hill).

On a side note, when players try to approach Kim'jael from west side of the map (where Ashenvale Forest is located), they normally pass by Timbermaw Hold.

One humble advice: if you care about faction reputation stuff, avoid killing the Timbermaws!

They belong to the same tribe as the Timbermaws in Felwood-Winterspring border. Killing them makes them just that much harder to gain good reputation with them. Potentially a bad idea, since becoming chummy with Timbermaws can bring some tangible rewards.

19-20 crates before i had all 4 items.Crates spawns all the time (about 1-3 mins respawn) so stealthing and pikcpocketing for 25mins with me rogue 57 was just booooring. I guess im unlucky when it comes to world or item drop rates...

There's nothing here to validate the OTHER side of doing this quest... I've currently killed over 50 blood elves, died four times (that three-man camp is a disaster for an early-50s priest like me), opened 29 crates, and still only have three of the four items.

First two dropped from the first crate, third item from the fourth crate. Nothing but food and drink in the last 25 crates.

Bug? Bad luck? Annoying as hell?

Is my 56 Dwarf Warrior the only one getting CRUSHED by casters? I can solo the singles, but the mob of 3 around the crates isn't even CLOSE. those casters are doing 300-400dmg/cast PLUS healing. I mean there isn't a chance in hell. What gives?

Just completed it a level 47. Stealthed in. Found a box with only 1 mob near. Sap, Open, Vanish. Then I stayed right there for 3 minutes until my vanish was available and did it again with the same box. Opened the same box 7 times and got all four pieces.

I had about 5 crates in that small area around the blood elves, that kept respawning. I just got food for the first 2 crates but then after that I got one of the four quest items each time... took about 6 minutes and 6 crates. I got the wizzle thing first and the compass last. The other drop items are pretty lame - moonberry juice, banana bread, etc. Too low-level to really be of use to me, all well.
56.28 is accurate - look for a lot of blood elf tents/camps as you go up that big hill. The crates are all right there, on the ground, and are a lighter color so you can easily pick them out.
I ALSO SUGGEST that you do the "Betrayed" quest with this if you can (I believe you get it out of Azshara) since it involves killing those same blood elves that you'll see at these camps. For that quest (which is a chain I think) you have to kill 10 Reclaimers and 10 Surveyors.

it was two of us a lvl 58 warrior and a lvl 50 druid . . .

those blood elf casters kick some serious 455. Damn. Ok well the warrior goes, "weaksauce lvl 52 belfs!" and starts aggro'n them so it was his fault he got whoomped

well . .. the reclaimers hit for 200 - 400 with firebolt . . . and they have tons of mana to boot so you can't sit there and wait for there mana to run out and they're forced to melee like many high lvl 40 casters. AND they can heal!

AND the surveyors are melee BUT have a flame ring that hits for 300-600 . . .

There's a warrior who said he was having problems . . . well . . . so did a lvl 58 warrior too.

The warrior died pretty quickly, despite me healing (the two surveyors did 1100 dmg and the 3 reclaimers finished him off fast), i put on growth and was using

i went into travel mode and booked outta there then took 'em one by one and rezzed my buddy . . .

but yeah they rock for lvl 52's . . . . AND their aggro raidius is high. Esp the caster reclaimers . . . plus they holla for help.

find kim'j at 53 19 the mtn he sits on is only accessable from the northside,

one thing cool is the containers give out food and they repawn pretty quick we were at

56 29 and kept going back n forth between 3 containers and waxing belves . . .

Both the Reclaimers and the Surveyors hit far harder than their level would suggest, so you'll likely want to CC if fighting a camp of multiple. Fortunately, the crates seem to respawn fairly quickly (faster than the NPCs). I had no problem with drop rates of the objects and got all pieces of equipment within 7 crates.

Doing this in WoW Classic as a level 51 Hunter. Two types of Blood Elves, Reclaimers and Surveyors levels 52 and 53. The Surveyors aren't bad, melee types that do an AoE fire burst. The Reclaimers are mages who heal (more fireballs than healing) and hit pretty hard. There is a ramp up to a smaller encampment than the main at roughly 55, 27. Three or four scattered mobs and two near a tent. Three to four of the crates spawn here and fairly quickly. If you keep the mobs controlled you can keep picking up crates until you've got the items. For me the 1st three were quickly found but the "Wizzlegoober' took 20+ crates to find. The elves do drop Runecloth so while not a great farm spot, not a horrible bonus. I found roughly a stack while I did this quest.

*It's worth noting that this was a quest I found it useful to turn off/down ground cover in settings. The crates respawn but not always in the same locations, so are slightly offset and can be hard to see. XP reward is good, money less so but the next stage has both good XP and good gold.

The boxes are not positioned very well and are often too close to packs of the Blood Elves. You do have a slight chance of finding boxes that are far enough or are only near a straggler. That said, I opened two boxes after fighting my way to them and received two Raw Black Truffles. Needless to say, I abandoned the quest.

It was green for me by the time I picked it up, and absolutely not worth the time. The Blood Elves tend to hit quite hard (at least those dressed in red robes) and despite dying quickly, will easily chunk away your health.

Go to 58.8, 31.4, next to the white pavilon there's a campsite without mobs with one chest spawning every 2-3 minutes. It took me 3 respawns to get all the quest items.

I cannot get the scope. I have 3/4 items needed. The only boxes that spawn now just say Kim'Jael equipment and contain only food . Has anyone else had this issue? Is there anything we can do about it?

Note that these crates do not respawn in the same spots. You will have to walk around looking for the respawned crates and clearing the area. Ugh. I camped that campground for half an hour before I noticed the crates were somewhere else :(

They hired me to help them scout the area looking for some sort of lost treasures. Of course I jumped aboard the moment they said "treasure" and the amount they were willing to pay, but of course, they turned on me and tried to kill me... ME!

Goes to show you, you can't trust a Blood elf.

The problem is, they still have my equipment and I can't get it back. Help me out?
