To defeat the Block target, you need to have the Block buff when you attack.

To defeat the Charge target, you need to Charge, then turn around and attack the target.

To defeat the Attack target, you need to hit it with Ranged Attacks.

This is the Alliance version of the quest.

- First equip your Alliance Lance in you main hand slot.
- Head to the The Aspirants Ring (71,19), and mount up on the Quel'dorei steed.
- Once on the mount, a vehicle panel will open and you get 6 different abilities to use.

1. Thrust Melee Attack that inflicts damage.
2. Shield Breaker Ranged Attack that inflicts damage and removes 1 layer of Defend.
3. Charge Charge Attack that inficts damage and removes 1 layer of Defend.
4. Defend Reduces Damage Taken by 30%. Stacks 3 times.
5. Refresh Mount Heals your mount.
6. Duel Duel another combatant.

- Head to the closest training ground (72,19) where you will find all the 3 different training dummies needed for this quest.

- Use the Thrust ability on a Melee Target (5times), but make sure you keep refreshing Defend so you always have 3 layers of defend up to reduce 90% of the incomming damage when attacking.
When you are done you can use the Refresh Mount ability to heal yourself up to full health agian.

- Use Shield Breaker ability on a Range Target.
The Shield breaker ability removes 1 layer of defend per attack, so you will need to attack the same target mulitiple times to make the target vulnerable.

- Use the Shield Breaker ability on a Charge Target.
The Shield breaker ability will remove the 1 layer of defend, and then use the Charge ability on the vulnerable Charge target (2times).

Learning The Reins

Strike a Melee Target with Thrust 5 times, use Shield-Breaker on 2 vulnerable Ranged Targets, use Charge on 2 vulnerable Charge Targets and then return to Scout Shalyndria at the Argent Tournament Grounds.

If you lose your lance, you can get another from any of the Lance Racks near the stables or the Silver Covenant Pavilion.

Description

Most of the tournament's competitions require competitors to master the command of a mount in battle. In order to familiarize you with mounted combat, we've put up training dummies all over the northern part of the tournament grounds.

Visit the stables outside the pavilion, equip your lance, and mount up on the Quel'dorei steed. Familiarize yourself with the tactics available to you and use them to defeat the three different kinds of training dummies.
