This NPC is found at 54.9, 84.18, through a gap in the wall of Icecrown Citadel.

IMPORTANT NOTE: She is right behind the wall, not in the cavern. I was searching for about 20 minutes before I realized this.

After searching for like 30 mins holes on the ground and trying to get into walls (!) I discovered where this npc is... As you are looking at the main stairs of Icecrown Citadel, take a right and start going around to the north, "touching" the wall. You'll see that the wall has an opening eventually that leads to a round area. Npc is as you enter to the left.

She is actually underneath Icecrown Citadel. There are several entrances into the foundation. There is a huge deep hole in the middle she is NOT all the way in there. She is near the outer edge. This map may help: https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/maps=210:549842

Ive noticed everyone got the quest from different pre-requests and think i have found the answer 2 how this quest becomes available. It may not be WHICH quests you do but instead HOW MANY quests you do, this quest became active for me after 70 quests in icecrown. Hope this helps clear up the confusion.

This quest became available after completing all quests in Argent Vanguard (SE Icecrown). After killing scourge, collecting items by that huge crystal blue tree, then finally defending a banner at Crusaders' Pinnacle I was given a quest to report to Korm Blackscar on the Horde ship (Orgrimm's Hammer). Once I turned this quest in Koltira Deathweaver FINALLY had new quests for me. Opportunity being one of them.

Hope this helps. btw, I unlocked this chain after completing only 66 quests in Ice Crown. So at least 70 isn't a magic number.

Okay, after reading this comments, this is how I got the quest, right now I'm sitting at 56 completed quests in Icecrown.

- Started with this questline
- Completed the Shadow Vault questline, along the quests of the vyrkul zone.
- Completed the questline from the Bone Witch, up to Not-So-Honorable Combat.
- Cleared the zone quests for Blackwatch. Including the escort from I'm Not Dead Yet!
- Cleared the Argent Vanguard quests. It all starts with Judgement Day Comes!.
- Make sure you get Orgrim's Hammer after finishing with the Argent Vanguard quest zone.

That's how I got the questline opened, hope that helps!

Confirmed, you must unlock the shadow vault as a town and flight path before opportunity becomes available. not sure if the ocular is part of it. but i think that is a prequest before you can begin the shadow vault quests (wouldn't be well to have a giant eye floating over your town now would it XD)

I have 37 quests completed and The Shadow Vault FP. I do not think the number of quests completed matters. Once I received this FP, I got this quest to open up.

The key quest to making this available is The Shadow Vault. I completed that quest, as well as The Duke which is just a talk to me nearby. I then returned to the zep and Koltira Deathweaver had the quest.

I was also only 37/140 in completing quests.

i can not confirm when this quest becomes avalible but i know its not directly after all the shadow vault quests i am done with all shadow vault quests and still cannot get this quest. i am currently doing the Argent Vanguard quests and will post wheter or not it becomes avalible afterwards.

I loved this quest chain; so I wanted to do it as fast as possible...

I just recieved this quest after:

-Unlocking the Shadow Vault (Flight path... etc)
-Getting 'The Duke' from the Baron @ the Vault... once you turn in 'The Duke', the quest on the zep becomes available.

OK with all the confusion on pre-reqs. Completed all the quests to open The Vault as a flight path. Completed all the Argent Vanguard quests until Crusader's Pinnacle becomes a flight path. Guy at C.P. gave the quest https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/quest=13224. Finally got Opportunity to open up

I can conferm that it DOES NOT matter how many quests in icecrown you do, You just have to unlock The Shadow Vault as a flight path area.

One of the worst locations possible for a quest NPC to be located. If you are doing Icecrown to get your epic flier, Beware. unless you know exactly where the cutout into this place is you could be searching for 15 minutes or more just to find the cutout. If you are like me and are dual boxing it's even more annoying as every time you enter and leave the "icecrown" portion of the zone your alt goes off follow.

The best advice i can give is this

1) go the the stairs that go to icecrown
2) go to the right of the stairs.
3) The easiest way to see the cutout is to actually strafe the entire time heading WEST. do nothing but look at the wall you are facing and you will not miss it
4) the cutout is ON THE GROUND, it is not in the air at all and Icecrown is a very tall castle (i.e. if you are in an area you need to fly at you are !@#$ed and could be looking for a while like i did)
5) Remember how to get to here because i believe there are a couple of quests in this vacinity

Go to 54.64, 82.37 that is where the elusive "hole" is. you'll look "in" and be able to see some orcs, and a hole in the center of the room you fly into.

ok i hope this helps a lot..but, you have to do ALL the argent tourn quests to get the quest that sends you to the flying ship. from there you get From there you can start everything else

You have to do all the Argent Crusade quests..not Argent Tourny..my bad

Anyone think this quest sounds like star wars? "We have found plans that show a weak spot in the death star" I wouldn't be surprised if he added - "many scouts died to bring us this information".

This is one of the quests that will possibly make you phased out in the summoning stone area in Icecrown citadel raids summoning stone. I suggest, that you will suggest everyone in your guild to do this quest chain to see each other.

Description

We recently came upon schematics that indicate a weakness in Icecrown Citadel. An opening in its defenses, both figuratively and literally.

The captured diagrams show an orifice leading several hundred feet into the ground. We're unsure of its purpose, but our scouting has revealed it to be of high importance to the Scourge.

Speak to Sergeant Kregga below Icecrown Citadel, she's leading the attack on the site.
