Out of the three, this is without a doubt the hardest. He spawns (a lot of) adds and has a DoT that does several thousand damage. Aside from all that he just hits hard.

Solo'd as 80 Prot Paladin by kiting in circles and cleansing debuffs immediately. Avoid the adds and heal when he channels summoning new ones. This guy is certainly the hardest of the three.

Solo'ed at level 80 as a Frost Mage shortly after hitting 80 in mostly Heroic and 10-man Nax gear.

Easiest of the three for a Mage, clear the small ledge outside his area so you have it for kiting space, then just drag him to and fro. Make sure you stay well away from the zombies when he spawns them.

I'd also highly recommend the fallowing for all three riders...

I'd say that this guy is by far the easiest of the 3 riders, if you know how to kite. I just soloed this guy as a feral druid in tank gear from Naxx, and hardly broke a sweat. His physical attacks are weaker than the Rider of Blood's, and you can totally avoid his magical damage by continually back-peddling out of his Death and Decays. Get a lot of distance from him while he's casting Zombie Horde. The zombie adds move extremely slowly, and you will be able to easily avoid ever getting struck by them at all. I even accidentally aggroed the 2 stationary undead mobs around his platform, and still managed to kill them, and him, without incident. The Rider of Blood was far harder for me to solo than this pansy.

To do the 3 "boss" quests, members of your party have to all either be on the quest or have done the quests. This is a new feature blizzard put in where anyone not up to or past the quest chain will phase out of the area. So before you get a group together, make sure they are all on this quest or have done it in the past, otherwise you are gonna be in a situation where they cant see you or help you.

Was able to solo all three riders fairly easily as an affliction Warlock.

Blood and Frost were strait forward and easy.... just send in VW, channel health funnel, and let the VW slowly whittle him down to 85% or so, it'll take a bit... soul shatter, and then can dot them to death. Also on Blood just dot up the runeblade when he summons it.

Unholy was a bit trickier, Kill his horse, and the 2 acolytes up front before engaging, then put a Demonic Circle down at some point on the outer edge of his circular platform, then just try to kite him in circles around his platform with Siphon Life, Corruption, and Agony up. He moves faster then you do, so be sure to time your kites to the proximity of your circle when he gets close to catching up so you can blink to it to gather extra distance. When he stops to summon adds is your chance to lay into him with Haunt, UA, and Immolate before resuming the instant cast kiting. The adds are painfuly slow so are no issue at all, just ignore em.

Cannot be kited by a DK, regardless of spec. Attempted to do so with a blood/frost spec for maximum single target DPS and healing ability (via Death Strike) found that he is immune to Chains of Ice, which leads me to believe he is also immune to other movement impairing effects. In pre-naxx tanking gear he still hits very hard. I agree with the above posters this is the hardest of the three.

The most technical one. I tanked him in Frost Presence, and just did a regular rotation with Death Strike instead of Obliterate. He first casts his ghoul army, they explode on contact and blows you away; so as he casts run away casting Icy Touch, and save some RP for Death Coil, just get lead and kite him around as long as possible. He'll cast Death and Decay AoE, get out of it, hits about ~1k per hit.

Use Icebound Fortitude and pop everything you have while its up, then when he summons his army again, rinse and repeat.

Note: His ghouls die, they are only there for a short period of time, its about the same time as Army of the Dead.

I can confirm that any feral druids whit tank gear on should have a good chance solo`ing him.

Every time he re-cast zombies pop out and heal yourself if needet. (regrowth rejuvention>bearform again). Thats the key to kill him. Any healing able classes that can take some hits and dps abit can easly kite him around and kill him.

This was a pain but extremely fun soloing this as a 80 holy pally only have four epics from nax and two bc epics. key is to kite and make for damn sure you have sacred shield up all the time other then that i used flask of the frost wyrm with firecracker salmon to boost spellpower then just went after him casting SoW JoW HS Ex HW SoR and Consec and HoW once his health was low and popping DP and DILLUM when CD was up and DS

I know this is alot but hey Who says that you can't solo anything as a healer ;) Unless you get one that hits harder :(

Soloed as 79 Blood DK. This guy was BY FAR the hardest of the three.

Kite him in circles.

For the other two, I just put on my tank gear, frost presence, and beat them down. Easy. Same approach failed against this guy twice, then I looked up this page and kited him, as suggested. The main difficulty is your heals aren't as strong as a pally and you can't cleanse his debuff, so save your icebound fortitude for the debuff and use bandages! It took about 4 minutes to kill him, so that's 3 times you can bandage during the fight while he channels his ghouls.

Fun fight, though.

Soloed as protection warrior, naxx gear

Used kiting strategies suggested above, only fought him up close when he wasnt using dirty tricks, took 3 deaths to get it right :) Spent 1 healing pot, 2 bandages, frenzied generation and shieldwall. Just run big cirkle around the pillar thingy!

Very hard quest, solod by an 80lvl Naxx geared Unholy DK. He will use Army of Zombie (8-10 zombi summoned), Death and Decay (hitting ~ 600-800) and using Icy Touch+Plage Strike.

Lots of DKs, Droods and Paladins posting here. I feel the Hunter crowd should be represented too, so here's how I soloed all three "bosses" using common hunter tacticts:

I used no pots or additional buffs other than self buffs. Build was 53/18/0. Would probably be even easier with 50/21/0 since they haven't nerfed Readiness yet when I type this.

Sapph (Frost)

Easiest fight. Gorilla pet, tank and spank. Send pet in with Mend Pet cooking and renew it for the whole fight. Use BW and Rapid fire and nuke her.

Baelok (Blood)

Slightly harder. Gorilla pet again, same strat as Sapph but I had to use Last Stand this time. Make sure to postition yourself away from adds before the fight begins.

Rokir (Unholy)

Hardest fight. Can not be tanked and spanked since he hits too hard on the gorilla to keep it alive with MP. Even with Last Stand he made roadkill out of the poor ape. So back to Dalaran and bring out the old trusty cat.

First, kill all adds including the horse.

Put Cower on autocast and turn Growl off. Pull with Distracting shot and kite him with Aspect of the Cheetah. Keep Serpent Sting up and let the pet act as a DoT by nibbling at his heels. Kite him in a circle and avoid the Zombies he spawns. When he stops switch to Viper and get a few shots in to keep mana up. It's a bit tricky but if you're good at kiting it's easily doable. Take aggro of pet with D-shot when needed.

There ya go, happy hunting!

Couldn't solo him as a 80 Prot Pally. When kiting him you don't give and receive enough hits for your mana to fill up, so I was running out of mana pretty quickly just dpsing him with spells. Got him to about 70k health before gettin killed on all my 3 tries.

Soloed as a Protection Warrior, a bit more technical then the other two, but in the end easier.

Just back peddle and when he stops to cast his undead army, run about 20 yards from him. he'll out distance his minions and you can continue to back peddle and kill him. Rinse and repeat.

Ended up using enraged regeneration at about 50% health, but didn't need it. Ended the fight with 20k/28k hp.

Didn't need Last Stand/Shield wall.

Note: I would suggest killing the DKs around his platform first, my first attempt on him I kited into them and had to disengage the encounter and retry due to the adds. Or you could just do smaller circles near the end of his platform, whichever you prefer.

Did all three just now on my Blood DK tank, Lots of hero and badges tank gear nothing special, capped and all. I just stood there and did my thing death striking every chance i got, just move out of the D&D on Unholy and I was at full life for the other two easily.

Just soloed him whit my Frost-DK in Tankgear (27k life).
Haven't done the others, but he was a pushover. Just disease him while walking backwards and hit with Death Strike. Just try not to stand in his Death and Decay. When he summons his Ghoul-Army (and you're not DoTed by his Plague Strike) you have time to bandage yourself IF you need it, but it was'nt necsessary for me. The Adds are no Problem at all. They move so slow, they will never land an attack on you.

Solo'd this guy on my 80 holy pally with heroics/emblem/naxx gear. By far the hardest of the three.

It was essentially like dueling an unholy DK player, but with a lot more healing needed. When it came time for his zombies, i lured them all to one side of the area and then used Holy Wrath to stun, then I ran over to the other side. If the diseases are cleansed immediately you shouldn't have a problem, but I died twice.

Not very hard as an Elemental Shaman specced into Improved Ghostwolf. Just nuke hard, get some distance with GW, Heal if necessary and nuke again, repeat. Keep Disease Cleansing Totem down.

Solo'd as a 80 prot warrior. The hardest of the 3 to solo, he hits pretty hard (I was in 4/5 t7 with Sapphiron helm, maly shield and SotL and 15/5/51 spec). Keep running to avoid the death and decays. When he casts army of the dead, get some distance and bandage. Use any defensive cooldowns you have to keep yourself up. If you have a gnomeragan auto blocker or better yet, the trinket from H VH, use that and shield block to get some good burst damage into him. Keep him debuffed, keep moving and you should be ok. Bringing a health pot doesnt hurt but its definetley not necesary.

Just solo'ed as a 80 feral druid. First attempt was fail, just tried to take him head on using cooldowns and such. Second time, I went and got some of those Fate Runes from the bone witch. used the +15% movement speed, 2% life every crit, +5% dmg. Kite him around. Don't let those baddie zombies get you they just keep knocking you back and you cant do anything. NOTE: The movement speed rune may not help as much now as it used to: when he cast DnD he just starts running really fast and you cant get away, w/e tuff it out, use potion. The extra dmg from the rune i think helped. Pick it up.

For the warlocks trying to do this: don't think you can dump a felguard on him and funnel it. His ability that leaves a DoT on your felguard removes one heal over time effect and ... that happens to affect health funnel too. Result is a rather dead pet rather quick.

78 Unholy Tank DK solo'd. SImple tactic just keep frost fever up and kite him around using unholy aura (be sure to kill adds including the horse). I started off with Army of the Dead thinking this would be the fight that required it the most. TBH, saved AoD for Rider of Blood. Just keep Frost Fever up and use Death and Decay for giggles while you at it and let your ghoul do the DPS.

Not much to add really, but thought this was kinda funny.

80 beatmaster hunter. As a second spec I have been trying a max tenacity pet survival build. That includes the new Mending Pet major glyph (adds 40% to healing). Trying it out in 5 man solos and have been having luck.

Tried Rokir and he killed me; but then glanced at the quest log and I had credit. Apparently he died just a moment before I did, and I somehow failed to notice it come up on the screen.

I won't go into the techniques I used because obviously they sucked....lol...but did get it done. Now on to the other two....

Soloed as a level 80 ret pal after 10 attemps or so. (Must have wasted around 100g for repair.)

I could just melee the other two riders head to head, but this one was way too tougher to do so as Rokir summons lots of adds. The key to defeat Rokir is, as many others have suggested here already, to kite him and not to let adds near you. The problem is that ret pals have few means to kite.

The way I did was: (1) Run away fast from Rokir once it starts summoning adds, make some distance, heal yourself with Holy Light until Rokir reaches you; (2) Re-engage as Rokir catches up with you, keep stepping back while CCing Rokir so that adds won't catch up (adds are slower than Rokir); (3) you need to keep back-stepping circle inside the terrace, around the monument at the center of it, as it takes some time to finish Rokir. (Don't go back straight or you'll be cornered.)

Ok, I think this guy is unbelieveably hard. I Solo'd him in all raid gear/emblem gear with expensive enchants. (Tank Paladin) It still took me a lay on hands my trinks use and a potion to beat him. He is very difficult.

Soloed as Demo/Affl Lock, easy mode. What you need to do is make sure u got healthstone and health pot ready. Get a couple of the speed increase runes from the bonewitch. (It sucks if you balls it up and have to go all the way back to get another rune). Clear the area of the Mount, and the two mobs. Get ur imp out, and park him somewhere out of AOE range for a bit of extra firepower, (don't bother with void or felhunter, they don't last very long). Run round in a circle and apply dots, just keep running round the outside, you may take a few hits depending on your kiting skills, but on the whole, he's easy once you get the technique right. It'll take about 5 minutes or so to down him.

Solo'd as an Enhancement Shaman with mostly Heroic and Naxx10 gear with no totems.

Some things to note in about Rokir:
- 126,000 HP
- Rokir's normal attacks hit me for 2-3k. Crits are 4k+.
- Death and Decay will hit for 700 Shadow Damage unresisted/tick
- Damage from his Blood Plague is minimal. 20-40 damage/tick
- Rokir's Zombie Horde will summon zombies. Approx. 8 second channeling, can't be interrupted.
- His Plague Beasts will hit for 200-300 damage. They walk very slow.
- His Shambling Zombies will hit for 100-200 damage. They also walk very slow.
--- Shambling Zombies use Plague Blast: Killing themselves, dealing 1k damage, and knocking back.
- I don't know if Rokir or his zombies can be snared, or rooted in any way.

Tips for Enh Shammies:
- Bring Health pots
- Kite him by walking backwards in a circle around the platform.
--- You must have killed the 2 Death Knight guards at the front and his steed.
- Save your Maelstrom procs for Healing Wave (Not Lesser Healing Wave)
- When Rokir channels for Zombie Horde, make yourself some distance, use Healing Wave if your MW proc is 3 or above. Lesser Healing Wave 1-2 times if you got the time.
- Using Healing Wave and Lesser Healing Wave will take a chunk out of your mana, thus save Shamanistic Rage if the battle goes on too long and you need mana. Be sure to use it after he finishes casting Zombie Horde.
- Use a Health pot first, then Feral Spirits.
--- If the fight lasts for more than a minute, you can use a Health pot again.
- The Zombies should not reach you, but will hit your Feral Spirits. Use FS'd Twin Howl to buy yourself some time, and use Spirit Walk if you need distance to heal yourself if Rokir channels another Zombie Horde.

Solo'ed as a PvP specced Frost mage in S5 gear.

First off, buy yourself some breathing room and kill his mount. It's got a fair amount of HP but can be snared and pulls independently of Rokir. (Rokir is immune to snares & stuns)

Once you've got the circle all to yourself, slap on an Ice Barrier, pull out your Water Elemental, and let your pet start attacking while you create some distance between your pet. Pull aggro off your pet when Rokir is in melee range and kite him around a bit. Pop Ice Block when you're out of shields and let Rokir run back to your pet. Turn on Icy Veins and nuke away whenever he summons zombies; they're pretty slow and shouldn't be hitting you anyways.

Once your Water Elemental disappears, drop your Mirror Images and nuke away. Run and invis when Rokir comes after you, dropping invis ASAP after the aggro wipe and resuming nukes. Once he kills your images or turns on you again, use Cold Snap and repeat the first phase, trading aggro between yourself and the Water Elemental.

The invisibility is critical since your 2nd Water Elemental joins the fight with no aggro and will not pull without an Ice Block from you, which I intended to save for the following round of aggro trading. Also make sure you've got an Elemental or Mirror Image fighting Rokir before you invis. Otherwise the fight resets, obviously.

Took 3 tries before I got this working. If things go bad, hop off the ring and Slow Fall down.

Lastly, if you're REALLY having problems kiting him around, then go pick up a Fate Rune of Fleet Feet.

Prot warr, 30k up HP, def cap'd, w/4 of the runes from the witch (heal on crit, +dmg done, -dmg taken, increased movement spd) just did the walk-backwards dps-while-moving strat. Finished w/about 9k HP left, used FR 2x during the fight, so it did take some time...best is to pop it when 30% so that the CD is back to use later. Don't bother w/spell reflect, just keep moving to stay out of the DnD and keep the spawned adds away from you...they're really slow.

Solo'd as 79 Ret pally. By far the easiest of the three to solo just got one of each rune from the bone witch and exorcism, judgment and holy wrath'd him down while kiting around the center pillar while casting the occasional heal while he summoned his army or stopped to cast death and decay

Easily soloed as an 80 boomkin, with 25 naxx gear; killed the mount first, ffire swarm and moonfire up all the time, hit using wrath, get some distance and heal with lifebloom when he casts aoe and adds. used no pots.
He is immune to roots and cyclone.

Solo'ed as a level 80 destro lock in mostly Naxx 25 gear with a few Ulduar in. Strategy is a pain, but it worked.

Demonic circle is vital for giving you the time to health funnel your voidwalker. Start by casting Curse of Weakness, then get your DoTs up - as many as you possibly can. I risked it a bit and got Shadowflame's in. Once DoTs are up, kite him to the side of the circle and occasionally bring back your voidy to give you a few free healing seconds, but be sure to send him back. The very second you see the boss casting his summon, run like hell as far as you can - but stay in the circle bit. Ensure voidwalker's set to passive for this window too so he doesn't stay with the adds and get the debuff the adds lay on you when they explode. As soon as you get a good distance, start health funelling and put voidy back to defensive, and kite the boss nearer to you when the adds get close to the boss. Remember at all times to keep DoTs up - if you have to break a health funnel though, wait until you have a well healed voidwalker to reapply. Use potions, healthstones and bandages if necessary, but be prepared for a few deaths to perfect your own technique. Took me about 6 goes to realise keeping him inside the circle is a lot more sensible, as no adds (bar his horse) will respawn, and his horse will only respawn if you take a while on him - and even then, he'll be so low on health you can just nuke him and sacrifice shield yourself to nuke through it.

I was able to "duo" this as a disc priest with a shadow priest helping me (i'm alliance, he is horde). We both needed the 3 guys for this quest line killed. The only issue is that he sometimes hit quite hard which caught me off gaurd. The horde and I fought for agro on him so he was pretty much just running back and forth between us while we killed him. His adds don't pose a problem as they move slowly and can be outran.

Soloed as an Arcane Mage, Nax 10 and 25 gear.

Cleared his horse and the two adds at the beginning.

Got max range and poped AP + IV, as well as clones began dealing heavy dps for as long as my clones last. Got him to about 60% and then began casting his army of dead, quickly blinked as far away as i could for max range again and began Arcane Blast x2 -> PoM Arcane Blast -> Arcane Barrage. At this point out of CDs and the kitting begins, blink again and keep running in a wide circle, casting Arcane Barrage and Fire Blast as often as they cooldown, and blink as soon as you can. He will start casting another army of horde and that will give you enough time to finish him.

Close fight, finished with 20% hp x.X

Soloed as heroic geared prot pally.
Pretty easy if you pop wings before fight.
Keep blasting him with all your spells untill he starts to summon and kite him in circles and pull away from the mobs.
When he's far away from adds just constantly move and bombard him with spells.
Had to pop Divine shield and Lay on hands.

Definitely easiest for me as a Ret pally,had to use only one Runic Mana potion.

I Kited him and was using every DPS spell I had JoL,Crusader Strike and Divine Storm+Exorcism,for healing I was only using Flash of Light(procced AoW),only once when he was summoning his army,I used Holy light,cast time fits nearly perfectly for holy+flash of light and if it crits you can get nearly to full health,so you don't need to use LoH.

One quick note....I would advise not to use the engineering enchant "nitro boost" during this fight.....got the rider to 3k myself popped the boots only to be thrown in the air and end up "leaving combat"....fml.

Make sure you clear a path before you start to kite.
The time he is spawning adds is heal time so run and heal/ bandage

Soloed in Feral Bear , kiting him backward clockwise arround the altar, and once he summons his army i run few yards back , Rej, Regrowth " too much but just to make sure there arent any suprises :P " and go in bear again doing the same rotation on each summon. HP was almost Full at the end because of Hots and AoE avoidance while kiting backword.

Solo'd as an Ele Shaman. Kind of a joke really. Had him to half health before he popped Army of the Dead. Dropped an Earth Elemental, walked away, healed up, burnt the rest of his health.

just FYI, if you catch the horse far enough away from him, you can kill it solo and it won't aggro him. soloed it as a hunter, nuked the horse at the very south end of the tier, then manad up, and went after rokir. just make sure you keep moving around so the damn zombies won't get you, that debuff sucks.

Soloed on the first try as a level 80 Protection Warrior in a mix of blues and ToC 5 man epics.

Pull the horse away solo and burn it down, it's not that much of a challenge. Shield Slam will dispel it's stacking buff making it much easier to handle.

This was the most difficult of the three. I used Enraged Regeneration and Shield Wall, but not Last Stand. I had to use a health potion, and bandaged twice while he was off summoning zombies. Keep him debuffed as much as you can (Thunderclap, Demo Shout, Disarm) and keep moving to avoid his Death & Decay and the zombies. Note that the zombies are stunnable but he is not, so save Shockwave for dispatching zombies (they only have about 12k health). I ended up dying on this one because I accidentally pulled one of the adds near the hallway, but not before killing the rider for quest credit.

To clear things up, the questline needed to get rider quests: Vereth the Cunning, after this line he gives 3 simple quests to do (bomb abominations, throw rocks, kill gargoyles), then 3 rider quests become available. These are really hard quests that require a good gear or a party.

One thing to consider, that you must ask people before inviting if they have these quests, because if they have done it already or didn't get them they won't see you and riders, their location has phased. (Phasing)

soloed as an 80 frost mage.
- Set your elemental to "stay" by the two DKs (after they're dead of course)
- run to a 90 degree angle from your WE and Rokir
- wait for all your cooldowns (glyph of eternal water helps here)
- have your WE start casting waterbolt, pop mirror image, icy veins, and any trinkets you have and start spamming frostbolt, cast deep freeze when it comes up.
- once he kills your WE, cold snap and recast your WE, icy veins, ice barrier, all the good stuff
- ice block if you have to in order to get him back on your WE
- he should be almost dead

trying to kite him is a pain in the ass. This way is much easier.

Soloed as a Cat druid in Bear Form (wearing Cat gear).

At first I didn't really know what to do with his Zombie Horde ability, but I noticed they walk really slowly (first time he used it they shaved 50% off my HP).
Basically to beat him, just kite him around all the time, walk backwards away from him and away from the zombies and avoid his steed. The good thing is when he uses his next Zombie Horde the other zombies die. So when he casts it switch to travel form, run away and heal. Rinse and repeat.

Not as easy as Sapph, but as a quest-geared bear tank I was able to complete it easily enough. Clear out the horse first (maybe the other mobs at the entrance) if you're worried about overpulling. Just kite him out of his DnD and put up some HoTs when he starts summoning. The zombie mobs are so slow they're not worth worrying about. Keep kiting him and after a little while he's yours.

Used one health pot (probably could have lived without, but it made it easier) and Frenzied Regen. Keep up Lacerate and the Mangle buff the whole time.

Finished him as a 80 Holy Paladin with PvP healing Furious/Relentless gear and questing jewellry/trinkets (4000 GS).

Pretty easy fight. Killed the guards in front; killed Plaguehoof; then pulled Rokir to me.

Rokir has about 121,000 HP; Plaguehoof around 60,000 HP.

You will need to kite him around the circle (stay away from the border ring in case you're thrown, so you won't be kicked off) when he summons his army of minions and drops the DK consecrate. The minions are really slow rising and moving, so you can avoid them entirely by just walking backwards (and if they hit, it was like 120 damage).

His hit damage on this PvP gear was no higher than 1.5k with SS+FoL going. So Pallys just cleanse and heal with a FoL or HS or SS+FoL and you will survive fine.

It's a basic tank and spank operation. About a 5min fight for a Holy.

Easily soloed as a retribution paladin with ICC10/25 gear using seal of command with judgement of light. Only moved from his DnD and ads wasnt any problem. Keep away from the edge in case you get thrown.

I see that it was soloed by one clothie (Mage) with epic DPS and gear.

However, as a healing priest with Shadow as an off-spec, and gear at 5.1k, my DPS is only about 2.5k and no spells to slow things down. Just a couple of dots, hits and applying some hots to myself. (Draenai gift of naruu and Hebalist Lifeblood). I was able to get him off my by sending the shadowfiend and doing a Fade, giving me time to heal myself and applying more dots and hits, and I even got him down to less than 10% health.

Oh, how frustrating to see it soooo close!

That was my best attempt out of 4. 2 of them were horrible because I got myself hit/knocked away during each heal cast.

It was a very expensive attempt. Dang Blizz for making it a quest that you can't just call on guildies who don't have the chain!

Guess I'll have to keep waiting...

My girlfriend and I managed to duo this guy using an 80 Ret Pally and an 80 Resto Shaman, but it's pretty tough to do when you aren't geared from raiding.

He does a few things that make this a bit of a tough fight, with a full group of 5 I'm sure it's a lot easier to handle. First of all he uses the Death Knight talent of Death and Decay which means you gotta keep moving around otherwise you get nuked by the AOE effect. Secondly he summons Shambling Zombies to help him destroy you, that in itself wouldn't be so bad except they have a knockback effect and like to knock you either into the Death and Decay effect or off the cliff edge that you're fighting on. Thirdly his mount is wandering around there as well, and it's Elite also, we managed to keep them apart so didn't have to worry about it as much, other than staying away from it to avoid pulling it into the battle. So if you're going to 2 man this with a healer and a DPS like we did your healer is going to have his work cut out for him.

We started the fight with the Pally pulling with Hand of Reckoning and the Shaman dropping totems of Stoneskin, Healing Stream, Wrath of Air and the Fire Elemental to add some extra DPS/AOE to help out with those zombies. Once the Fire Elemental has been dispatched then start dropping Magma Totems as often as possible to help thin out those zombies. The Pally was using Retribution Aura which also helped with taking care of those adds and doing a bit more damage to Rokir. The Shaman made sure that the Pally always had an Earth Shield on to help mitigate some of the damage and other than totem drops just focused on healing the Pally. I use a Glyph of Healing Wave on my Shaman in Resto spec which has been a life saver many many times, this way I don't have to worry about my own health as much because the glyph will heal me for 20% of what I heal others for, very useful, I recommend picking one up if you don't already have one.

I just found out which quest unlocks these, it's the chain quest beginning with:
Parting Gifts
An Undead's best friend
From Whence They Came
Honor is for the weak

When you complete those, you get two more quests:
Seeds of Chaos
and
Amidst the Confusion, which is the one that unlocks Vereth The Cunning which begins the chain quest for the three Riders.

Description

I served beside Rokir for quite some time. He knows the unholy arts better than most any other death knight I've met and he's equally as ruthless.

Rokir's strengths are most apparent when you are fighting him on his own ground. Sadly, we don't have much option in those regards, but stay on your feet to avoid his undead minions and you should come out victorious.

Be nimble, <class>, and do not take him lightly.
