Although the quest text says to convert the brooch with a Wicked huge citrine and Rigid sun crystal, when you actually use the brooch it requires the uncut versions of each gem.

As the quest says, "You can find an Iron Dwarf Amulet on any Northrend Iron Dwarf" Got it on 2nd kill. Giant´s Run in Howling Fjord.

I've found the fastest way to get to the dwarves from Dalaran, as Alliance, is to fly to Frosthold and then fly with your mount into Uldis at 35, 60. You can fly directly in and need not to dismount mid way.

Is there a faction level required for additional quests beyond this one?

When completed this quest and the Finnish the Shipment quest this was the only quest available. I am friendly with the Kirin Tor so will additional quests become available as my faction with them increases?

These can drop off the infiltrators you kill for the Sons of Hodir daily quest 'Spy Hunter'. Get two dailies done at once.

Does anyone know if they've fixed the bug in the dailies that prevents the JC daily quest items from dropping off Icecrown mobs? It was really... ...annoying during Beta not to be able to do Icecrown dailies at the same time as the JC daily.

Just got the FPs from Howling Fjord to Dalaran (and vice versa of course) on my 65 Rogue so I could do these Daily JewelCrafting quests easier. It took a while, and I had to do a lot of ducking and weaving, but here are all the ones I had to get to fly from Dalaran to Vengeance Landing in Howling Fjord:

I couldn't do the quest two days ago, but I could do it today. I was on lvl 74 both times, the only differance was that I had jc skill at 375 instad of 365, so that might be it?

I got cooking and jc in lvl70 alts and i do the dailies with them.So you can do them with a 70lvl alt.

It should be noted, that if you are also doing Sons of Hodir dailies, the item can drop from the spies.

well, iron dwarves can be found in many places in northrend, so you can keep the daily while questing..
you have some quests involving iron dwarves in howling fjord, grizzly hills, and storm peaks for sure, so you can easily keep doing your daily quest while normally going through the zones, and keep at it when 80 with the sons of hodir dailies^^

ive been farming for this for an hour now in Ivald's ruin (howling fjord) and it hasnt droped for me. its getting a bit rediculus, im still farming for it :( slowest one ever.

You can find an Iron Dwarf Brooch on any Northrend Iron Dwarf.
The statement is not true, I've gone to the Terrace of the Makers spot where is full of iron dwarves and they aren't good for the quest.

Bor's Breath is in STORM PEAKS and entrance cords are 32.4 - 63.7 and is called ULDIS. It is a round doorway, can't miss it, enter fly down to lower level, I got it on the second drop! Excellent post Ambrozian, thank you!

The quest lists the item u need as an Iron Dwarf Amulet it is actually called the Iron Dwarf Brooch. This item dropped for me in Grizzly Hills off of one of the dwarfs in Thor Modan. I was able to get the drop off the fifth kill.

Let it be known that both Yowzeers and Ambrozians post list Coords. They are 2 different locations, both containing the required dwarves.

Ambrozians post is a cave called Frostgrips hollow. 27.0 , 67.0 will put you right at the entrance while on the ground.

Yowzeers is correct, Uldis is the name of his/hers location. again, 32.4 , 63.7 is correct.

Both are located within Bors Breath.

Personal opinion is Frostgrip Hollow is closer, and better. Usually contains mining node...

The closest Dark Iron Dwarves to Dalaran are in a cave at Bor's Breath

Fly north from Dal, and tucked around the corner on side of a hill is an ice cave.
Can have it drop of first mob.

The mob Was an Iron Rune Binder. Second kill dropped the item.

Closest location to Dalaran is Frostgrip's Hollow in Storm Peaks. The entrance of the mine where the dwarves live is 26.9, 67.0.

Somehow I was able to get two of these today, I guess I made the Wicked Sun Brooch then looted another Iron Dwarf Brooch, seems as though we can save these up to hand in whenever the daily comes around to avoid having to farm it each time. Might come in handy.

General advice on JC dailies here: I very much prefer to farm up multiple completed quest items for any of the JC dailies. You just need to bring a stack of the gems required to craft the actual quest item with you (+JC kit in case you usually keep it in the bank), as the quest drop will only drop if you don't have one.

Once the item drops, drag it to your bar. Click the item on your bar to craft the quest item. Then kill more of the required mob, and when another item drops, the item on your bar will light up. Click it to do the craft again and then continue. You can kill mobs one at a time, or if you prefer (as I do) to pull a pack of 2-5 mobs, try to loot them as they die, and as only one item will drop until you do the craft, click the item on your bar to craft it right away (mob damage will not interrupt the crafting cast) and then continue dpsing. I usually craft 8-10 of the quest item whenever I actually have to go out and do the daily, and I store the remaining ones in the bank. Doing it this way, I often go 3-4 weeks before I even need to leave Dalaran to complete the JC daily.
