He is found at 61,52. You can't miss the location. It is Raynewood and he is at the top. Kill the patrolling bear on the outside ramp leading up to Ordanus. He hangs out in the room for awhile and then patrols. He can be taken out by himself if you wait for him to come out alone. The adds will spawn numerous level 16 treants. They came out on my first attempt but not on my second attempt when I focused only on Ordanus. The best attempt is to place timed heals on yourself if you have them or CC the two adds and stay focused on Ordanus and be quick enough to loot his head before you die. He will entangle you in place making it hard to reach him to loot him. It would be good to have free action potion to prevent entanglement or something to get out of the entanglement. If you decide to jump go to the end of the ramp and jump down on the hill below so you take little damage and there will be no adds. If you die before looting his head you can get there fast enough before he resurrects unlike posted elsewhere but you have to move quick and use Falfarren river as short cut and not the roads as though you were still alive.

My 27 BM Hunter had no trouble pulling and killing everything on the way up (don't loot - the respawns are very fast) and when getting to the top, I just sent my pet at Ordanus, healed him and we killed Ordanus without too much of a problem while the two other Vindicators (or whatever they're called) beat on my pet and ultimately killed him, as I expected from what everyone has written below.

But then it got more interesting. Instead of the two Vindicators beating me to death as I expected, they started but then about a dozen (two dozen? three dozen?) treants suddenly materialized out of nowhere and descended on me like a massive wave of overgrown poison ivy. Twenty-six against one? Really - you need that many plug uglies to whack a poor troll hunter? Ordanus, you are truly a cowardly bully; no plastic medals for you, ya big sissy.

Fortunately I had read the remarks below, immediately popped a healing potion, looted him and got a chance to rez and chat with my old friend the Spirit Healer for ten minutes whole the hilariously misnamed Rez Sickness wore off. Not only did Ordanus involuntarily surrender his head, he dropped a nice piece of green mail armor, so worth doing even if he needs 700 Macedonian Warriors to kill you.

solo'ed as level 27 lock on hardcore

sent in VW to take aggro of all three
dot up Ordanus and spam wand
the moment I know he is dead jump down the tower
resummon VW while waiting for adds to deaggro
walked back in to clap the two and loot head
no hp lost

Description
