today on heroic all 3 dps died on the first shatter. a pally healed my warrior and we won... took well over 10 minutes. was epic fun!

On heroic, after Krystallus performs his AoE knockback, everyone will turn to stone.. Shortly after everyone is turned to stone, he performs his Shatter ability where if any one person is next to another, they will both die. Or if everyone in the group is together, you will wipe. Make sure everyone spreads out while fighting and after the knockback and this fight is cake on heroic.

Note there's a hole in the wall behind the boss that leads back to an earlier part of the instance. Ranged dps and healers should be careful not to stand between the boss and this hole lest they be knocked through it and have to take about a minute running back.

Blizzard must have gotten lazy with this instance because beside last boss it Maiden from Kara and this boss in kinda like Gruul. Knockback, move away from everyone else, shatter does little to nothing and then go back the tanking.

Yeah after you get ahold of the knockbacks it's easy, my group almost killed him then all but me wiped, i soloed him with 25% health left after, pretty easy fight.

My group had serious trouble on this guy; he'd spam the knockback-shatter combo ENDLESSLY, giving us no time to DPS or heal or anything. He did that multiple times before we finally managed to drop him by having the healer move far away from everyone else.

This guy is a piece of cake if u remember to spread out. This can be hard for melee heavy groups,so i would recomend doing this with at least one range. He hets semihard,nothing to worry about as a a healer or a decently good geared tank. The only big thing is the shatter. And a tip for all u tank out there: when u do this be careful not to be thrown away in that gap behind him.It happened to me the 1st time and walking back to him...well...u figure out how it goes after :)
Keep ur party members at a safe distance from each other and the job is done.

This is NOT Gruul. The shatter kill radius is MUCH larger than with Gruul, due to the lower player density perhaps, so make sure to play it safe and leave plenty of distance.

Soloed as a Blood DK with 25k health and 19k armor buffed at L76.

None of us had a clue about tactics so we just engaged him. After 20 secs everyone was dead except me after a knockback/shatter. I took on, Placed IBF,Mark of Blood and just abuuuused Death Strike. Nearing the end I smashed Hysteria and popped up GiftOfNaaru. He doesnt hit that hard, on me his whites were nearly 1.7k on MAX.

- If you kill him U ARE A GODD

20 secs later

-Comon face you can do this he s dead

30 secs later, Krystallus down

Soloed this boss easily as a bear druid (heroic naxx gear) in heroic mode. Without a group there was no shatter at all and he hits very weakly. Simply keeping up barksin and my dodge trinket, plus frenzied regeneration when I got to half health was enough to down him.

Soloed as a Blood specced DK tank. He DOES still shatter when you are alone. Keep your back up against a wall and you can continue to melee (and heal) while the stacks of immobility build up. Then the Shatter's stun only lasts about 2 seconds. Save cooldowns (if needed) for this. Use death strike to keep your unholy + frost runes on cd and you should have no problems :)

Does anyone know if he can bounce Shatter off Mirror Images?

I managed to take 6000 damage and "die" from the Priest alone from almost full health, shortly after putting my Images out.

Boomkins should avoid using starfall in the tunnel leading up to him, as it will pull him right through the thin wall dividing the tunnel.

Had an epic fail on this earlier. Was healing a heroic with four melee who all had 245/251 gear on. It was all fine and good until he Ground Slammed, and all the melee got right back into it. He Shatters and BLAM! Full group wipe. Now since I was the only one out of there my Shatter did 4K to each of the melee. Now if you want to multiple that out, that means each melee did 16K to everyone else in the group. Add that all up and we all took 66K worth of damage.

Mechanics > gear.

The fight against Krystallus is easy if executed properly. He doesn't deal much damage but is deadly if your group doesn't know what to do.

Krystallus will repeatedly knock players back and short after shatter them, dealing damage based on proximity.

Run away from each other's party members when he knocks you back. This will minimize the damage.

Boulder Toss: Inflicts 2,380 to 3,220 physical damage to a target.

Stomp: Inflicts 2,375 to 2,625 physical damage to everyone within 25 yards.

Ground Slam: Knocks all players away, and gradually slows their movement speed. Used before Shatter.
