This is the new bullet ammo from patch 3.3. Surprisingly cheap, hunters are going to love this (say goodbye to the 10g/stack mammoth cutters!)

We went from boring old shells and rifle bullets to Mammoth Cutters (aka elephant gun rounds...here's a link to the biggest one on record) and now to grenades (see icon.)

I wouldn't be surprised if by Cataclysm the rare-quality craftable gun ammunition turns out to be miniature ~~nuclear~~ fel warheads.

Wow...at only two of the crystallized earths, I see people farming more in Wintergrasp, if they don't already. o_O;; That'll certainly make people try harder to win.

I mean, least make people work for the ammo and have it be worth it to craft these.

And have materials 20+g per stack, thus lowering the population of hunters that aren't on the accounts of anyone rich? No thanks.

Points of note:
* You need 450 Engineering to make these, which ain't cheap.

* You need 1 Primordial Saronite just to get the recipe, which (at least on my realm) you could sell for about 20k.

* You need to be a Goblin Engineer in order to make them in the first place.

So basically, while the mats may be cheap to aquire, finding a Goblin Engineer who's collected 23 Frost Emblems and spent them on a Primordial Saronite, and then -used- that P.S. to get this recipe, and is willing to just hand these babies out for pocket change is not going to be easy. I haven't seen any bullets on my realm yet, but the arrows are selling like mad for 70g per stack. I can imagine the bullets (regardless of the cost of the mats to make them) will be comparable.

ok. i'm not entirely sure what blizzards plan was here, maybe they finally heard the cry of hunters everywhere.
Mammoth cutters require 2 crystallized water 3 cobalt bars and 2 saronite bars to make 2000. these are sold for 8-10 G at the Auction House on my server.
Shatter rounds now require 4 crystallized earth to make 2000. (they go for 15 gold at the Auction House currently)

now im not sure about u guys but i have 28 eternal earth in my hunters inventory, and on my miner alt i have stacks of the stuff.

once people catch on Shatter rounds are gonna be selling for maybe 3 gold at the Auction House, which means no one will ever buy Mammoth cutters again, and even Frostbite Bullets sell for 1.5 g a stack and have half the dps.

so these bullets are 2 things, the end to hunters whining and the end to the income of engineers

Maybe so but keep in mind that while the mats are cheap the plans still aren't It'll vary by server but it costs a Primordial Saronite to buy, which run for 3,000-3,500 gold currently. So it's not like everybody will be running around with it, since most individuals would rather use their badges/saronite to buy gear or contribute towards shadwmourne.

I don't know about other realms but I got the plans this morning and 10 hours later I crafted bullets for a total of 5500G (net profit). Solo players, people who wanted to make a gift to someone and entire guilds with no one still able to craft them. Hunters are completely hysteric about these ammos and I understand why.

Of course prices will go down, that's the normal course of the economy in WoW. But I honestly tell you that I rarely saw so much gold with few minutes of Engineering work.

On a side note, blue ammos are selling like hot cakes too. A stack of blue ammos goes for 15G, much better than 60G asked for epic ones. I do not charge that fee, I think it's too high, but even applying a huge discount via trade chan I had a queue of customers today.

Arrows/Bullets are always in demand and players wont deny you some good gold for them.

A warning to all, many tricksters try selling these on the AH in 100 stacks, rather than 1000, so please check carefully before buying several auctions in a row

You guys seem to be forgetting about the price to buy the "recipe". I don't know about your server but on Tich that Primordial Saronite ain't cheap.

For one stack of 1000, how much do these cost? My addon , Auctioneer is telling me to sell them for 4000g a stack. But then people on the server are saying its worth 20g a stack. Oh and I just updated all my addons. It still says the same price. SO whats the real price?
