This item seems to be the only reasonable way to make to boost up your Leatherworking skill from 365 to 375, the only orange things that I can make at this point are:

They all are pretty expensive to buy the reagents to and the grind is pretty tough if you want to get to 375 by this way.
Running instances to get exalted with Sha'tar isn't that hard either, so for my "calculations" this item is well worth the grind.

Alternatively, you can get exalted with the Keepers of Time and make Drums of Panic from 370 to 375. The mats are even easier than these Drums and the skill-up rate is better.

it would take a good set of primal fires to get you to 375, Im not sure its worth it. I would go for the COT pattern first.

I just hit 375 LW, and used Drums of Battle to get to 373. 6 Combines got me from 365-370, 6 more got me to 373. 4 more combines got me no more skillups, so I decided to do the last two combines on Felstalker Bracers.

I'd say this is probably the most viable way for 7-8 of these last skillups. On most servers, Primal Earth is dirt cheap so it's basically a one-Primal combine as far as farming time goes. Felstalker bracers are 4 primal air, plus a lot more leather. Obviously the CoT exalted pattern is the best of all, but it seems a bit tougher to get CoT than Sha'tar rep.

Patch 2.3 changes the reagents used in this pattern by lowering the amount of Heavy Knothide used to 2 and instead of a Primal Fire, you now need 4 Thick Clefthoof Leather.

The Sha'tar rep needed to purchase this Pattern also has been lowered to Honored from Exalted.

These changes make this a fantastic item to level those last few points in Leatherworking!

Yes i used these as a quick and dirty way to get to 375 from 360. I had many back to back successes, in fact i bought the mat for one last combine to get my last point and it did it. so although it will be green, it's more than likely treated as a yellow/orange at that point.

Grinded Clefthooves for about 5 hours just to raise 360-365, from 365-375 took like 15 mins and 350g to level tho.

Try making the drums of panic. thats what i did. cheaper mats than other things you can make at the lvl, and they're useful too

Leatherworking
Increased the range at which you can gain leatherworking skill from crafting drums.
Reduced the faction required to obtain Drums of Battle and Drums of Panic.
Drums can now be used while shapeshifted.

This Patter is Worth getting...
Crafting the Drums is the Best (Cheapest*) way to gain a couple LVLs in LW.

Drums of Restoration are good to go from 350 to 360.
After that Felstalker Bracers are the best way to go from 360 to 365.
Now get Exalted with the Sha'tar and u can buy the pattenr for the "Drums of Battle" Good for a couple more lvl, IF not can keep making the Bracers until 370.
At 370 "Drums of Pannic" are the ones that will get u to the end of your journy, U need to be Exalted with the Keepers of time to get this pattern, and that would probably take a wile.

Again Cheapest* way to lvl:
"Drums of Restoration" (world Drop Pattern: Drums of Restoration) 350 to 360
"Felstalker Bracers" (Honored with Thrallmar Horder/Honor hold Alliance) 360 to 365
"Drums of Battle" (Sha'tar Exalted) 365 to 370
"Drums of Pannic" (Keepers of time Exalted) 370 to 375
