Shamans use Ankhs to self ressurect, which is called Reicarnation. The self resurection is the same as a warlocks soul stone but you cannot cast it on other players.

ankh is used by shamans to do reicarnation (ressurect self)
after the patch there came a minor-glyph named "glyph of renewed life" which takes away the reagent for reincarnate.

Every horde class should buy one when going to an instance. Too many times have I wiped in an instance and the shaman says "sorry, I forgot to buy an ankh"

Shamans get the skill to use the Ankh at level 30.

There are MANY reagent vendors in Orgrimmar particularly in the Skytowers and outiside the Drag.

yea always bring ankhs to instnaces i forgot to bring one once and luckily there was a warrior with one. *PHEW* and yes we did have a wipe. ^_^

you can buy an ankh from any reagent vendor. there are reagent vendors in every major city and in other cities for instance gadgetzan (sp?)
