Gunther Arcanus (Which is the Lich's name) is located at the only lake in Tirisfal Glades, Northeast of the Undercity. He's located in the middle and is guarded by level 6-8. They can be easily defeated. This quest is easy. but way to boring because you have to keep walking to the Undercity and running back.

Running this chain on its own is not necessary. It can be coordinated with other quests to minimize running time. A good companion quest chain is "At War with the Crusade"

Although other sites indicate no rep other than 150+ for UC, I DID get 37-38 rep for each of the other factions on the Horde side as indicated here on Wowhead. I think it's rare to have a starting zone give rep for an outside faction.

I searched for a while too, but finally found a stack of books near the NPC on the island that gave me gears, you don't have to kill anyone, just go steal the book.

There's a huge (Brightwater) lake to the northeast of Undercity (east of Brill). Go to the bigger island (the northern one) you'll see a small camp with fire, etc. There is also a table, on which you'll find the book.

If you see the guy on the island its on a table to his right hand side.

If you are looking at him then its on your left hand side.

You actually turn the quest in at the magic quarter in Undercity, not the mage's quarter. because there isn't any, :)

For those of you with co-ordinates 67.42 in Trisfal Glades is correct. The books are on a stand right beside Gunther Arcanus. To anybody without co-ordinates please visit http://wow-en.curse-gaming.com/downloads/details/4947/cartographer and download Cartographer which is the program that I use for co-ordinates. The program works like a charm. However, if you do not want to download an add-on and you can not find this island simply hit your "M" key on your keyboard while you are in Trisfal Glades (make sure you are out of Undercity. You should be able to see the following areas on your map: Deathknell, Agamand Mills & Brill. If you see these areas on your map when you hit the "M" key on your keyboard than you are in the correct area.) Now that you are in the correct area simply look at your map and the only large area with water and an island is just northeast of Brill and just southwest of the scarlet monastery. Simply go to the island and you will see an NPC named Gunther Arcanus in the middle of the island. The books are right beside him.

On a side note, if one of your professions chosen is tailor then these zombies strewn about on this island are easy to kill and excellent for dropping the linen that you are going to need to level up your tailoring. Might as well slaughter the whole bunch of them while you are over there and snag up all the linen they drop ;).

For those without co-ordinates, the island you're looking for is in the middle of brightwater lake, that lake is east of brill, now look for Gunther Arcanus, near him is a stack of books, viola! the lich's spellbook! wootness factorial!

You have to find the pile of books on a table by the Gunthar Arcanus (lvl 53 but didn't attack me) and *open* it and loot the book. He is located on the island (Gunthars Retreat), in Brightwater Lake. Watch out for the Hungering Dead and Shambling Horrors.

Descrizione

There is a lich who dwells on the island in Brightwater Lake to the north. Although he is a free-willed Forsaken, he believes all other Undead are Scourge slaves and has his minions attack anyone who approaches him.

But because he is Forsaken, the Queen will want him. And if he is skilled in Necromancy, then his knowledge would be...quite useful to us.

To discover his identity and his talents, I must see his spellbook. Steal into his camp and acquire it, then return to me.
