Make sure you have Lafoo summoned. Look for shiny spots on the ground. Stand over them and Lafoo will dig them up. Wait for him to dig them up and loot them.

Right now the sparklies are very hard to spot - you'll see one single glint on the ground, rather than a dirt mound or something similar with loot sparkles.

Lafoo does not aways uncover the treasure when he digs up 'shiny things'. Sometimes it's a Sparking Hare, which gives a 50% speed boost for 1 minute when killed.

This quest is a waste of time. The ground does not sparkle and half the time you get crap. If you want to power level do not waste your time. Go back later.

just run around the city with Lafoo out. U will see something glimmering(?) at the ground, run there and he will dig it up for you.

zoom your camera out and look down from a 45 degree angle. should help spot sparkles

Quest must be bugged, got the first 5 in less than 5 minutes, searched for over 10 min for the last one, never spawned...

Abandon this.... Just a waste of time.

Is this quest bugged? I can't seem to get the follow up daily for it, even though I've completed all Oracle quests available and am friendly.

For this quest its better for you to remove evrything on ur screen by doing Alt + Z
then just keep your eyes open you will see shiny on the ground just go over there and let Lafoo dig then you can loot

Fly around the outside of the camp looking for sparkles. Take Lafoo and try to get him to stand on the exact spot that just sparkled. He should go off digging and an item will appear for you to open and loot.

The clearing in Wildgrowth Mangal at 58, 58 is mostly brown earth, which makes seeing the glints quite easy, so you should have no trouble with the numerous replenishing spawns of treasure in this area.

This quest is very poorly designed in my opinion. I've stood on multiple spots immediately after I see a glint, and then Lafoo does nothing. For minutes. In 30 minutes, he's succesfully opened 1 shiny thing and one pack of glinting bugs. They have quests similar to this in game already, where you get a pet mob with you, and on their pet bar there is a spell to dig up an item, thus making a lootable quest doodad appear on the ground (in Razorfen Kraul, to cite just one example.) So with established mechanics already in game that work far better than this current implementation, why do they do it this way?

Fairly straightforward quest, although a little tricky. Be sure to scan the area slowly and carefully, the glints are easy to miss.

I had to smile when Lafoo said "Ooh! Shinies!" Reminds me of Cespenar the Imp from Baldur's Gate: Throne of Bhaal. Perhaps the reference is intentional?

as some other people have said , at the stump of a tree ( coordinates 50, 50 (ish) Circle around the tree stump with your camera angled to the floor. Then jsut stand over it , try to position Lafoo over it. Then he'll dig :p
Oh and also , if a Sparkling Hare comes out , kill it and get the 50% movement speed buff , helps you get to shinies quickly.

I found them all over the little Rainspeaker Canopy area. It is hard to find at first, because it is just ONE little glint that goes off every 2 seconds. It took me 8 tries... But I managed to get it done in 5 minutes.

Picked up this quest, but I was unable to see the sparkles. Ran around the area for five minutes and could not find one. I abandon the quest and deleted the Lafoo bag. I then went over to High Oracle Soo-say who gave me a new Lafoo bag. I clicked the bag and Lafoo gave me the quest again. This time I was able to see the sparkles.

I lost my oracle companion and high-oracle soo-say doesn't want to say anything more to me than " Have more shinies for stone maybe?". I looked all through my bag and bank and i don't have the companion anymore. Any ideas? No one else in the rainspeaker canopy will talk to me.

Ok guys if you're like me and were having problems seeing the little "shiny" things here's my solution. Go into your video options and go to Effects. Then put "Environment Detail", "Ground Clutter Density" and "Ground Clutter Density" all to minimum settings. After i did this i was able to complete the quest in around 4 minutes, easy as pie.
