New 3.3 Emblems, most likely going to be used to buy new T10 Items. Icon looks like a warlock tier I cannot remember at his time.

The weekly raids which reward 10 of these are rewarded are as follows:

- 1 from 1 of the starting bosses from a wing of Naxx (Noth, Patch, Anub, Raz)
- 1 from 1 of the 4 bosses in Ulduar's first area (FL, Ignis, Razor, XT)
- Malygos
- Sartharion
- The second boss from ToC, Jaraxxus (likely because Icehowl makes little sense lore-wise)
- The first boss of Icecrown Citadel, Marrowgar

The quests can be done on 10-man or 25-man, heroic mode or non-heroic.

You can also optain 2 of these badges each day from the "Random heroic/dungeon" tool.
Easily by signing up to and heroic as either tank, healer or dps. Your group will be made
crossing the realms and you will all be teleported to the heroic which you dont choose but simply just get there.
Can be a hard one or an easy one. When completing this heroic you will optain 26g and 46s and 2x Emblem of Frost.
This can only be earned once per day. So it works like a daily.
When you have joined an heroic you will get a 15 min debuff which does that you cant use the random heroic/dungeon
tool before that time has passed.
These emblems will be used to buy the new T10 gear. The other better type of T10 will be needing Tokens to be bought.

Badge rewards were added in b10805. Currently included are:

Chests, gloves, and belts for all armor types
Boots for mail
Cloaks (including a Strength one, which has been a recurring itemization hole throughout WotLK)
Trinkets
Idols, Librams, Totems, Sigils
another Thrown weapon

Presumably the Season 7 (Relentless) pieces will be added as well, and it would be reasonable to expect boots for all other armor types.

Just like with the Tier 9 set, you will be able to purchase all of the five pieces via emblems, though, in order to recieve the t10.5, you must recieve the tier token from the icecrown raid and you must already possess the t10 version of the item in which you are to upgrade.

Okay I just had a thought.
In 3.0 Raids dropped "emblem of Valor" and the Tier 7 was "Valorous"
In 3.1 Raids dropped "emblem of Conquest" and the Tier 8 was "Conqueror's"
In 3.2 Raids drop "emblem of Triumph" and the Tier 9 is "Triumphant"

Does that mean that since in 3.3 Raids will drop "emblem of Frost" so the Tier 10 will be "Frigid" ?

Dunno what class you play but i know theres no "Triumphant" set for warriors :)
Unless you're being extremely literal, there is set for warriors that is "...of Triumph." The 245 alliance set's name theme is Wrynn's of Triumph.

The pieces of gear themselves say "... of Triumph" at the end, but the original poster is correct, because the actual sets are called "Triumphant ", i.e. Triumphant Garona's Battlegear.

So, does anyone have an idea of how many Emblems of Frost each boss in Icecrown Citadel will give? The tier pieces cost an awful lot of them (60 for Hands/Shoulders, 95 for Helms/Chests/Legs). And Primordial Saronite is worth more badges than the current Crusader, Runed and Frozen Orbs. Something tells me that each will drop 2 Emblems of Frost, and 3 perhaps for the final bosses of each wing in Icecrown. Just a little speculation.

Here is how many Emblems of Frost you can CURRENTLY get:

*UPDATED FOR ALL OF ICC*

ICC Raid each week (Assuming you kill all bosses):
- 24 from 25m
- 24 from 10m

Weekly Raid quest:
- 5 from 25m or 10m
(Also rewards 5 triumph)

Daily random dungeon heroic
- 2 when you do it the first time each day
(Everytime afterwards for the day you get 2 triumph badges)

Also, when you do the the new 5 man heroics (there are three of them), there is a quest chain done inside the instance starting with Forge of Souls. After the entire chain is completed, you'll have accumulated 6 emblem of frost as quest rewards.

There is currently no other way to acquire any Emblems of Frost. Sartharion's bag contains triumph badges, and Torvon the Ice Watcher won't be active until the next arena season.

I only got 1 emblem of frost per boss kill in ICC ( in both 10 and 25). My character only has 16 (5 from raid weekly, 2 from random pug, 6 from Frozen hall quests, and 3 from bosses in ICC ( Marrow from 10 and 25, and deathwhisper on 10)

You will need 405 to get all tier 10 armor pieces.

The first week you can get 25 EoF meaning doing the Hall of Frost quest chain on the same week.

The other weeks you can get 19 EoF.

It will take you 21 weeks to get all tier 10 armor pieces from not doing the raid dungeon and VOA.

I will need to know the grand total of EoF from ICC for the first wings to change how many week to get all tier 10 armor pieces.

Your T10 gear of any variety requires badges in the following quantities:

Gloves - 60 Emblem of Frost
Shoulders - 60 Emblem of Frost
Head - 95 Emblem of Frost
Chest - 95 Emblem of Frost
Legs - 95 Emblem of Frost

The gear can be purchased from your respective armor merchants.

The T10.2 can be purchased by turning in your T10 piece and a boss trophy.

For the full T10 5-piece it requires 405 Emblem of Frost.

Both debuffs prevent you from using the "random" dungeon tool. You can, however, still use the "Specific Dungeon" setting in the Dungeon tool. This portion will enter you into a random dungeon chosen only from those you select, not just ones from a particular category. You do not get any bonuses from using the Specific Dungeon option, but you can use it while you are under the Dungeon debuffs.

no, you CAN NOT use the specific dungeon finder while under the DUNGEON DESERTER debuff, haven't checked the other debuff yet though

Ok im a bit confused here, exactly how many Emblem of Frost can you get a day

It says that you get 3 per boss, now the questions is it the same drop in 10 and 25 man and 10 and 25 man heroic

like if i do 10 man today and get 3 from each boss can i do 25 man and get the same amount or can you only get the 3 per boss once everyday?

If someone could explain this to me it would be greatly appreciated

You can currently get a maximum of 83 Emblems of Frost per week. Here's the breakdown:

ICC10: 25 (2 off of each boss and 1 off the encounter before Valithria Dreamwalker)
ICC25: 25
VOA10/25: 4
Weekly Raid: 5
Weekly ICC Quest (10 and 25): 10
Random Heroics: 14

Does anyone know if Emblem of Frost will drop from heroic bosses in next patch so sometime before Cataclysm? Just as Emblems Of Triumph do now? I don't raid ICC and it is very hard to collect enough of these from daily randoms to get epics.

Hey! I just finished making this list of How Many you should have by now if your a dedicated raider and have downed The Lich King every week on both 10 and 25 man encounters since Icecrown Citadel has came out! This also counts Toravon the Ice Watcher in both 10 and 25 man encounters that give you 4x ! This also counts the 14x that you get from the Daily Heroic Randoms every week and also the weekly raid which gives you 5x and the weekly quests in Icecrown Citadel that give you 5x ! (Remember you can do these twice, One in 10 man & One in 25 man!)

Here is the list:

Daily 1st Heroic Randoms 14x15 = 210
Weekly Raids 5x16 = 80
Lower Spire Weeks 1 - 4 16x4 = 64
Plagueworks Weeks 5 - 6 28x2 = 56
Crimson Hall Weeks 7 - 8 36x2 = 72

10m icc - 13 (assuming you kill all bosses)

The bosses in ICC give you 2 each, and normal and heroic are the SAME instance, with altered difficulties.

7 heroic randoms = 14
ALL 10 man ICC bosses = 24
ALL 24 man ICC bosses = 24
weekly raid = 5

Dreamwalker 10 man = 1

So, the million-dollar question is: What is going to be done about Emblems of Frost, Triumph (and other currency) for Cataclysm?

When Blizzard moves to providing Tier 11, doubtless Tier 10 will be very easy to obtain. (With some amount of dungeon running)

But... will we still be trading Emblems of Frost for Tier 11 gear? Because, if so, we might be BETTER served to save our emblems, and make the leap from Tier 9 to 11. If they move to something like an Emblem of Cataclysm, then Emblems of Frost might become as easy to obtain as Emblems of Triumph are today.

Has anyone seen any information regarding this issue?

The number of Emblem of Frost you can obtain per week is 93.

14x Daily Random Heroic
5x Weekly Raid quest
5x Weekly Icecrown Citadel quest (10-man)
5x Weekly Icecrown Citadel quest (25-man)

2x Toravon the Ice Watcher (25-man)
5x The Ruby Sanctum (10-man)

A few things to note.

You do not have to complete the Daily Random Heroic dungeon with a random group.
Every boss in Icecrown Citadel drops two emblems, the mini-boss Sister Svalna drops one.
Unlike Trial of the Crusader, you cannot complete Icecrown Citadel on both normal and heroic mode.
It takes a minimum of 5 weeks to obtain enough badges for the complete tier-10 raid set.
If you do not raid Icecrown Citadel and The Ruby Sanctum, it will take a minimum of 18 weeks.
During the Midsummer Fire Festival, completing the World Event Dungeon - Ahune awards an additional two emblems. The emblems are only awarded once per day.
The three mini-bosses in The Ruby Sanctum drop one emblem each, Halion drops two.

You can trade emblems 1:1 only downwards in the following hierarchy:
Emblem of Frost
Emblem of Triumph
Emblem of Conquest
Emblem of Valor
Emblem of Heroism
Since the emblems of frost are currently the most limited, don't downgrade them. They provide better gear than the other emblems.

Let it be noted that, at the very least, Lord Ahune, when queued and killed for the first time every day, drops a bag which contains TWO of this emblem. That means an extra 14 every week during this holiday and, given the new structure of holiday bosses in general, potentially the same turnout for other holiday bosses as well.
