Gearing up a DPS Caster ? you'll probably want to pick this up.

it is one of the very, very few WotLK trinkets with +Hit which is aimed at casters (as witnessed by the 'Use')

it is the only WotLK trinket with +Hit you can get before entering Heroics or Naxx (except for one exclusive to Jewelcrafters and a Battlemaster's PvP one)

it is the only WotLK trinket with +Hit availble from a quest.

I don't know about you, but I think this quest reward is a bit OP.

theres no doubt that this is one of the best items to grab whilst levelling to 80, in terms of its usefulness and ease of getting it, for a caster.

Except that you can't get the quest until 80, so... Dunno how one would "grab it whilst levelling to 80"

Absolutely right. Also note that the 55 hit rating = 2.1% hit, while the crit trinket reward from the same quest gives 47 crit = 1% crit at level 80, which means even if you have talents for 100% additional damage on crits rather than 50% the hit rating trinket beats it in dps terms by a mile. Plus the quest is rather fun :)

The only two upgrades for most of us are:

Heroic Violet Hold: Mark of the War Prisoner
Heroic Naxx: Dying Curse

There is also a similar arena trinket that has "Use: increase max health": Battlemaster's Accuracy
And JCs can use Figure: Twilight Serpent

Usually people look bad when they are equipping greens, but this one is acceptable.
