can you get this achivement today? I know that they changed the pally and warlock mounts to be trainable at 61 in 3.0.3 so I'm curious if you can get this one still.

I made a big mistake doing that quest.
Wasted 3 days and 700g ...
just for a Feats of Strength achievement...

I just did the questline and I want to share the knowledge.

Even if you bought the mount from trainer, you can still do the quest and GET the achievement. Me at first doubted it wouldn't, but I had to try it, so I could share with you all, so you don't think it's in vain.

Good luck for the rest of you. Enjoy your 400g achievement (feat of strength).

With the 3.2 patch – mount changes will this be possible after patch? Get the mount at level 40 then wait to level 60 to get the quest line? Also makes me wonder about the warlock mount / Feats of Strength - Dreadsteed of Xoroth

maybe you if you didn't learn the spell you can get the quest to get the mount or some people are able to do this quest maybe bug or something like that but not really sure and after patch 3.2 and changing mounts lvl from 30 to 20 and from 60 to 40 they forgot to remove the quest or something but you still can learn it from the trainer and i don't think you get achievement by learning the spell because it say "Completed the paladin quest to obtain a Charger" but maybe you can get it by learning the spell because it says "obtain a Charger" not sure i got my charger last year lol

I started doing the quest line way back. I collected all quest items. I payed a huge amount of gold, only to find out that i need to do an instance run to get the charger. On my server, finding a group of people to do a Dire Maul run was/is extremely difficult. After some digging i found out that i could buy the charger cheaper and with less effort, which finally i did.

A few days back, i was really bored and i decided to go for the achievement with my 80 lvl paladin. Luckily i had kept the quest items (for future use) and i did a quick run on Dire Maul. I finished the following quests and got the charger. and the achievement. I didn't get an increase on the number of my mounts though.

This is still doable today. As a level 80 HPaly I was running some of the old instances (cause some of them I've never done before) and thought about this quest, so I picked it up before heading to Sholo for the first (and second, needed 2 trips for the runes) times ever. It was kinda fun, though not total cake (you CAN *!@# off too much stuff and get your butt handed to you in a few places if you aren't careful.) So I finally got to finish the quest chain that I first picked up WAAAAY back at level 60. ^_^

Anyway, just finished the chain and got the achievement and, I think, one of the most awesome tabards in the game.

Now, after Cata, with everything changing, it may no longer be possible (who knows if Scholomance or Stratholme will even exist at that point), but as of about 30 mins ago, the questline still works in its entirety and the Achievement is still granted on finishing (a friend saw the achieve pop and said, "Wait, you JUST NOW got your charger?" :D)

I almost managed to solo it when I was level 62 on my Paladin back in 3.0.8 as Protection, but the last guy in the chapel killed me because I ran out of mana and couldn't heal myself and all of my cooldowns were spent. Went back a second time with a guildie who brought his 60 Blood Death Knight along as some extra dps.
