Since last I checked, STR isn't overly needed on a pally
Are you ret? if so.. STR IS THE BEST STAT EVER. PERIOD.

Strength = 2+ AP depending on talents and buffs.
If you're purchasing melee shoulders though you're better off with the leather one for your other alts later on.

Not ret or prot yet. Might go prot. Got the Cloth, Leather, and Plate shoulders so far.
Trinkets? Hp for Pally's?
Prot/Ret = str is out best stat either way.
prot = 535/540 def for heroic/10man > avoidance > HP.

You can always heal yourself when you get low on health. If you level as Prot you shouldn't have any issues with mana but Ret can have some problems before JOTW.
I'd go with at least one mana trinket.

OP/Caean: stop being stubborn, it should have been clear to each one of you what trinkets the other person meant.

The fact that you refer to them as a HP or Mana trinket indicates that you over-value the 2% effects.
Do the math yourself. They are negligible and only of any value cause something is better than nothing.
Unless you're running a holy, the spell power will do nothing for you really and the mana return is pointless.
Go with 2x haste unless you have other alts you might be sharing the trinkets with, in which case 1 of each so you can cover all classes is a good idea.
It's how you distinguish the two of them. What do you call them?
Haste it is. Unless you're a caster.
Except Spellpower is better for Ret DPS than Haste is. Even more so before you learn Seal of Blood(which makes haste more useful, but still junk)

OP/Caean: stop being stubborn, it should have been clear to each one of you what trinkets the other person meant.
Not all, I actually do try to help people Blade, and when someone comments on an HP trinket my first reaction was, "HP trinket? What have I missed?" So I went and searched for one.
Had I been less stubborn and hadn't given a crap, I would have just blown him off because his request sounds preposterous.
The thread title is about Heirlooms. The OP is asking about the Heirloom Trinkets, as well as other Heirlooms that are the better choice for a paladin.
It's not my fault some stare at their monitors not understand what the first post is referring to, when it's written in plain clear english.
Well this got out of hand quickly.
To be fair, you posted a pithy "try and keep up, chum" response above when Caean was just trying to help out. Pretty unnecessary and I can see even if you are being sarcastic where one can read an insulting tone into it.
And by the by, did you just refer to yourself in the third person? Weren't you the OP? So, wouldn't you refer to yourself as "I" instead of "The OP."
I'm confuzzled.
