If anyone is curious on how much damage this does on the last tick. i got this from my combat log

Maikyl suffers 26120 Shadow damage from Professor Putricide's Unbound Plague.(267250376 Overkill)

I got DI'd with the plague on me, then cleared the DI when the plague had 1 second left.
