Bucket spawns at any of the 4 troll camps along the river as well as the top of Skulk rock. Can be a bit annoying to find. Just run up and back and hope no one loots and makes it respawn.

It took me a while to find this since I had no idea it spawned on top of Skulk Rock. I was actually heading over there to grab some ghost mushroom from the cave and saw the bucket sitting up there.

I would reccomend just keeping an eye out for this while you do other quests rather than running around solely to find this.

You will most likely see it in the course of doing other things... just make sure you have this quest before you go running around the Hinterlands.

The four locations for the Slagtree's Lost Tools are : 71,48 66,44 53,39 and 72,53

I've completed this quest on 5 chars and 4 out of 5 times the lost tolls was located at 66,44. Watch out, don't go inside the camp, you have to pull the mobs outside, or you will face two casters at the same time.

I believe the location people tend to overlook is the abandoned troll area with the Silvermane Stalker in it.

Don't know if others encountered this, but was grouped with a Rogue & when we found the tools. When my warrior looted, the items disappeared after that despite both of us being on the quest. Guess this is meant to be a solo quest so can only be looted once per spawn.

I found the loot at the Camp (66,44) & eventually found it again for my friend at easternmost camp (72,53). Interesting part was there wasn't any MOB's at 72,53. Rogue stealthed in to find it empty with only the tools. Maybe he was lucky...

Don't forget you can also use many abilities to help you find them, like Eagle Eye for hunters, Farsight for shamans, Eye of Kilrogg for warlocks, stealth for druids and rogues, and even Mind Vision for priests to look inside of the camps before clearing all the mobs out. Unfortunately, pallies, warriors and mages are kinda stiffed out in this regard.

The tools spawn in the very same camps the quest mobs are, and since you will have to hit several camps twice, eventualy the tools will spawn.

Despite 2.3 changes, the bucket does not show on your minimap as other quest items now do, so you really do have to just search around (preferably in stealth to avoid aggro) and then open it when you find it. The co-ords given earlier are good, so search them and if you can combine with the quests mentioned for efficient questing.

57.4, 42.6 is where I found it at (lots of slime type mobs around it).

As of 2.3.3 Patch it does sparkle like the other quest objects do.

if u have quest helper from curse.com than it will show the bucket at the skulk rock but i have been up there several times and nothing so it doesnt know which cords to use

Once one toon loots the bucket, it disappears. Even having them click at roughly the same time does not work.

I actualy found this by luck. i was running away from the stealthed wolves n i found a place with no mobs and the bucket on the side. This place is called shaol'watha (something like this). Its a little east from the 2 camps with the trolls.My suggestion head there first.

The exact coords for the place where I found the lost tools is 66,45.

There were 2 caster mobs guarding the tools, lvl 46, as a lvl 50 prot paladin this was no problem.

There are 2 camps and some ruins near each other, it is quite possible the spawn for the tools is random, if you do not find them where I found them, check that out.

I found it at 53,39... after trying all the troll camps and Skull Rock several times. I even went to the ooze cave, I died there, and did not find the tools.

if it indeed disappears once used, then its respawn is instant, as another person in my party looted it while i was killing a mob, and by the time i was done, the bucket was there

a possible reason for not finding it on any camp after searching several times is that someone else got the bucket before you and it respawned somewhere else, possibly where you already looked it for
if you dont find it in any of the spots, do another quest and try again

It's a little box, so You can miss it. Get into one of the, uhm.. villages of the trolls and check out if there's no hiding one ;)

Camp Shaol Whata for me at 65 44......easy as a 45 hunter. Spotted the tool while looking wih eagle eyes.

Killed all around the camp and sended the pet into the camp keeping the two soothsayers busy..looted the tools and helped the Pet.....easypeasy!

i spent an hour walking back and forth between two of the camps with the log spike walls, as well as the ruins to the East. I even checked skulk rock. I later realized that there are 3 of these camps, one is just further west. annyways it was in that west most camp that I ofund the tools, just killed the two guards inside the camp. And btw you can look into the camps to see if the tools are there without engaging the mobs, especially if your mounted, or better yet mounted on a kodo like i was. The height makes a big difference.

I found the tools at 71,48. They were in a metal bucket under a box that is hanging. The bucket is small and hard to spot so look closely. There is a chest that spawns there too.

Found them inside Shaol'watha.

Hunters use your Eagle Sight to check out the ruins if you don't wanna bother with killing your way in. Saves alot of time.

72,53, i found mine there, its the easterly most 'base', the one with noone around it. As hunter i just stood about 40ft (virtual foot) from each of the bases so as not to get agro, and eagle eyes in (its a spell which enables a hunter to look 50000yd's into the distance. It was a little tin bucket on the floor. click and loot, job done.

I couldn't find this at any of the "camps" but i did find it after my second try on top of the Skulk Rock cave mound. Up on top of the mound is a ruins; the pail was in the NW corner of the ruins.

This quest item spawns in multiple locations. The item is a iron bucket with a few tools in it. Cords are : 66,44 72,52 53,38 57,42 71,48 . For those without coords :
- On top of skull rock.
- Agol'watha which is directly west of skull rock.
- Shaol'watha East of skull rock. the very most east ruin symbol on your map.
- Shaol'watha The middle ruin
- Shaol' watha The most western ruin.

So.. All three ruins of Shaol'watha. Skull Rock. and the ruin west of Skull rock.

i would reccomend not going out to find these but kind of just stumple upon them doing the quests to actualy kill the trolls at the camps the tools spawn at. thats how i did it after loooking on skull rock and not finding it i was just going to not do the quest and did th troll quest n bam fonud

For those questing with a friend, the respawn rate on this thing is PRACTICALLY INSTANT so once you grab it wait like 10 seconds and then keep looking at the other locations.

Do NOT do this quest if you're in a group. As soon as the first person picks up the bucket, it despawns, and you have to run round all the sites looking for it again.

I've checked all 5 locations multiple times and no bucket or tools. Is it now broken? Has anyone completed this recently. Also the coords for 57,40 is that inside Skulk rock or outside? ive checked both

look at post Jun 7th 2006 it tells you the spawn points. The tools are in a bucket that respawns at these different points after being picked up by a toon. You have to visit each reference point until you find them

As stated in earlier comments on this page, there are five possible locations for the tools. Personally I found them at the camp the farthest to the west, where the tools were located inside the fenced area where the soothsayers spawn. I have included a screenshot here showing the tools within this area so you can have an idea of what to look for - but please be aware that for you the tools may spawn at one of the other locations. In this image my location is 53.3, 38.7 in the Hinterlands, and my position on the map is shown in this screenshot. Here is a screenshot showing my position on the minimap. I hope this helps.

You recall Smith Slagtree mentioning that the tools might be at one of the Vilebranch temples in the northeastern region of the Hinterlands. You should also check Skulk Rock.

Vilebranch scum invaded our village and stole my tools! I have backup tools but the set they stole was a gift given to me by a kind hearted gnome that saved my life when I was a young orc.

I want those tools back, <name> - they mean the world to me.

Markhor reported that the tools were spotted near the Agol'watha and Shaol'watha temples.

Those temples are in the northeastern region of the Hinterlands.
