Easy to Solo...When you obtain quest just head back to main path and up the mountain (all the way up)...lol

Kill the Daughters near the main gazebo there with Botanist and watch for the followers that travel with the sons...Good to have Mage with you or another crowd control in party... Should be able to do this around level 21-22...Easy

Be aware that the Daughters can use Dispel Magic. Doing this with my druid recently, I found my Mark of the Wild buff disappearing...

Also watch for nearby mobs. Except for the tree guardians that accompany the Sons, all the mobs you face will run at low health. Be prepared to stop them or deal with adds.

Pretty easy quest for my 25 shaman =)
Its only 4 to kill of each, but the sons are the most difficult to kill with their trees. Try to take out the son first, then the tree 'cause its the sont that are your goal.

I chose not to to do this quest on a Horde character because of the quest text/objective.

Keep in mind that, while doing this quest on a PvE server, if one does choose to kill Keeper Albagorm (for whatever reason), it will flag you for PvP and any Allies landing in Stonetalon will find a convenient HK :P

Go back on the main path, and keep following it as far as you can and when you make it to the top, you will see what you need to kill. Easy quest.

Soloed as lvl 21 cow hunter with cougar pet.

Pretty straight forward, just make sure to deal with the Son Of Cenarius' treant minions first- they seem to deal a nasty amount of damage which left me petless and running.

Killing the mobs needed by the quest won't flag you PvP on PvE servers and won't trigger the alliance local defense warning. Anyway, trying this quest on a PvP server and at low level can be painful because all of the ally toons headed to Stonetalon will pass from there.
If you don't have any stealth ability, try to stay as far as possible from the ruins and (of course) from the alliance village and from the road. The most difficult part will be the Son of Cenarius, because just one of them spawn on the "right" side of the ruins.
On a PvE server, this quest is just a piece of cake. As stated above, anyway, all of the mobs will run on low health.

Easy quest, just about anyone should be able to solo at lvl 25+. I completed as Protection Paladin. Straight forward melee. Only thing to keep in mind for Pallys is that the daughters have a chance to dispel your seal spells. Not a big deal, there's no cool down or timer. Just keep it in mind as you may go to unleash a judgement and can't because she dispelled your seal. Just reactivate your seal and continue as normal. Otherwise, pretty straight forward fight and relatively easy to take them down.

They all appear to be somewhat resistant against nature spells, and the dryads seemed to take only half of my nature spells damage. Sons of Cenarius were partially annoying with their Treant Ally, which had a damage and health of a regular mob of that level but didn't drop any loot of experience. Bit disappointing.

Lore-wise, this quest is very wrong if you're a tauren druid, because your supposed to be freinds with Cenarius, not kill his people. Of course you could try to be an evil druid. =)
And no, killing these NPCs does not harm your reputation with the Cenarion Circle, they are Alliance aligned.

Once again, simple game mechanics.

There is no reason in lore to ever allow Horde to form bonds with the Cenarion Circle after killing Cenarius, demon blood infused or not. Even Thrall, who is so aptly named as the diplomat orc, REFUSED to apologize for the death of Cenarius. No matter what side you're on, and whether or not you find the night elves to have been right to start aggression without approaching in diplomacy first, keep that in mind. As if the Frostwolves didn't do the same thing in Alterac Valley.

Furthermore, if tauren truly are close to nature, there's no reason for tauren or at least their druids to be allowed to enter WSG matches without losing Cenarion Rep, considering all they are doing is furthering Horde deforestation and excessive waste of lumber that even the satyrs benefit from. Either tauren druids are complete inferiors of night elves when it comes to being one with the land and feeling it's pain, or they have pathetic double standards that put wasteful gathering of lumber over the well being of the natural world. The fact that half the night elves from Warc 3 being turned into a ridicilous "Neutral" faction and Nighthaven (The most populated night elven city after Darnassus) being turned into a neutral stronghold where warlocks and death knights can stride around with their pets out is just Metzen's "My heart lies with the Horde..." statement ringing true. And the fact that any member of the Horde would ally itself with Shadow Council cultists, as well as allowing them to find refuge in one of their outposts is nowhere near the term "Honorable" as the orcs like to foam at the mouth in their war cries. But hey, what else can you expect from the faction that has night elf captives in Malaka'jin, help a Witch Doctor torture them, and kill more animals in the process? (Note: Jin'Zil's Forest Magic) Or a faction allied with cannibalistic zombies that murder sleeping druids in Ashenvale? Even the night elves, who screwed up royally 10,000 years ago are still steadfast in their beliefs of defending the land and reforestation. Orcs were freed of their corruption... what, 6-8 years ago? And they allow former Scourge, fel-magic addicted blood elves (albeit cured after the events of Sunwell) and the occasional Jaedenar cultist among their ranks? Brilliant. If it weren't for Thrall few attempts at good, Orgrimmar would be no different than Blackrock Spire.

So yeah, think twice before you say "Oh, they're Alliance, they attack on sight..." you're damn right they do. Nevermind the fact that you're intruding on a Barrow Den waaaaaay out of the road to Sun Rock Retreat and is designated Alliance territory. Newly awakened druids even attacked Malfurion and Tyrande during the WC 3 campaign, what makes Horde hypocrites that killed one of the few remaining elder sons of Cenarius, poached the remaining wildlife in Sunrock and performed sick experiments on war prisoners so special? If it weren't for the tauren quest giver to plant some seeds in the Charred Vale, the Horde might as well join the Venture Co. And this is all under Thrall, with the common excuse of "He doesn't know about it, I'm sure he doesn't support this." I wonder what more will happen when Garrosh comes into play. Constantly hiding behind demon blood as an excuse for genocide, cowardly war tactics that result in the greater evil winning (Note: Broken Front) and war crimes (Treatment of all prisoners in Horde hands) is starting to get old. Nevermind the fact only one of the three noted above was under the effects of Pit Lord blood. If it weren't for the occasional tauren druid or orc shaman with a shred of decency, trying to clear up the mess that their wayward people create, the Horde would be no different than the Burning Legion's baby, just as it was during the Second War.

Yeah... this quest sounded strange to me too.

In fact, the one behind this quest is the "master" that the cultist speaks of. "It" sent her to kill Cenarius' Legacy in Stonetalon.
The question is: why someone like this is alligned with the Horde?

It could have been interesting if there was some later quest that enlighted who this master was, and maybe a mission to go kill/capture it.

Because.. as it is, it's just demons working hands in hands with the Horde.

Instead of fighting about people giving or not giving coords, I have a brilliant idea. On almost every quest on this site, you can click on the link for the thing that you have to kill or collect. Then you will find a link next to it that says "map." Click on that and it will show you exactly where the thing spawns, drops, walks, etc.

follow the main road to Mirkfallon Lake, skirt aound it to the log jam, bypass and head up the pass to Stonetallon peak, mobs are right along road area around the pavillion.

Im lvl24 rogue, and though i can sap this one is really hard to do yourself. (maybe easier as a hunter). most of them goes in groups by 2.

These are easy to find - just follow the road North from the quest startpoint. I solo'd it at 24 with a level 23 Rake. Watch out for the level 27 elite that wanders past to the left of the path.

Might struggle with a 20 Druid. I just did it on 25 Priest no drama, a cool trick to make it easier is I hit the Sons with it all, then feared the minion and ran. You don't get XP for the minion and just killing the sons counts for the quest.

Simple to find the location of something if you have the coordinates but don't have the coordinate UI mod. First coordinate is the horizontal ref. Left side of your map is 0.
All the way to the right is 100. Half way from left to right is 50. 1/4 way from left side moving to the right is 25. The second coordinate is the up-down one. Top is 0. Bottom of your map/screen is 100. So, coordinate 25,25 is in the top left corner of the map (your monitor with the map at full screen). If players would just realize this they would not have to ask where something is when they have the coordinates but not the UI mod. I have a post-it not next to my screen with arrows on it. That is my UI mod for this feature. Pretty simple, eh?

I don't know what other peoples' experience was, but for me this turned into one of those annoying quests where pats and other groups get way too close and pull really unpredictably while you're killing their friends. If you're a squishier class you may want to check what's moving towards you before attacking, and being aware of an escape route.

Very akward for a lvl 23 warrior.

Highly annoying.

As mentioned earlier, pats are really close to each other, difficult to fight them without getting aggro. Another stupid quest, I don't know why Blizzard gives such difficult quests at such low levels.

Luckily I have a 70 warrior so I know what to expect and how to handle aggro etc. But quests like these must be very daunting to brand new WoW players.

I just died trying it and I'm not even going to bother again considering how goddamn far away the area is from the graveyard.

my 23 priest solo this np. so should be an easy quest unless u dont kno how to tell when and when not ur gonna aggro something. just look at ur surrounding and determine who u should kill... IF u see someone/thing walkin around back and forth just kill it so u wont have to worry about it attacking u. i say the only reason why ppl sucked at this quest is either they really are a noob, or they just are lazy. which i kno i am alot of the time

I hate to say it but I agree. Many people dislike using mods because with all the recent changes made to WOW (especially as it prepared for it's release of Burning Crusade. I left for three months, returned to at least 10 new updates. Didn't play for another two weeks, and again, 5 more updates!). I had Cosmos for a while, and eventually gave up on it because the person writing it wasn't updating it (they have since then). So I deleted it. I can't see coordinates either and I truely appreciate it when people give locations instead or with a set of coordinates. I might return to using mods, but you have to remember - Wow was updating so much for a while there, that many players got frustrated with mods and mod packages and refuse to use them now. I'm one of them because I hate relying on someone else to take the time to update their programs so that my game's interface can read coordinates (or other little details).

Coordinates are nice if you can see them, but if you really want to help, take the extra half-minute or so and type out something like "Take the road north from sun rock, to Stonetalon Peak, and that's where they are". Not hard to do - it really isn't. If people can't follow either sets of directions (locations and coordinates), they simply need more help than anyone here can give them. (Although, I personally find the screenshots to be of the most help than most the information written here. I find the comments here to be frustratingly repeatative. Here's a hint, if someone's already given the answer - you don't have to repeat the same answer.)

This was a tough one but not too bad really. I came down the main road and stopped out of range of the decaying structure where the rovers go around in a circle. Seems to be a lot of action off to the right side of the road, but there's some to the left as well. Be careful depending on your level, I saw a lvl 27 elite off to the left.

I ran through as a lvl 23 Warlock with my VW. Most of them are 23-25 levels for the Daughters and Sons, the Botanists were 23 and 24. The Treant allies can be troublesome, but when you see a son or daughter with an elemental, just concentrate on them and the minion will perish once the host is dead.

The botanists don't spawn as often so I had to hang around to get my quota for them. Going in deeper to the right side off the road you'll see a lvl 30 guy. I just avoided him while I got a look around. I only died once and the graveyard is right there in Stonetalon Peak off to the far right as you come in, not too bad really.

Very easy to do on a lvl 22 Orc hunter, Coords are correct (36,12) In fact, I don't see why it's considered a level 25 quest. And I don't see why people would have so much trouble completing this quest.

Fairly easy quest. I have done it by 21 level hunter. I haven't died any time, but I had a troubles o find some Botaninsts.

As a 23 Priest, solo'ed this quest easily, the only problem were the minions. I did like this: Smite son of Cenarius, then both comes, i used Power Word: Shield, fear in both, and keep using spells in son, when minion comes again i use power word shield again and kill son. when he dies i run abit to dont fight minion and he goess away

This one was pretty easy, actually. The sons were the worst, but the daughters and botanists were very easy.

The only worry I had was an Alliance player seeing and killing me. I play on a PvP server, and this quest is just barely outside visual range of their village at Stonetalon Peak. Fortunately, I never saw any while I was there.

Solo'd as a 23 rogue... no problem. Ambush the botanists, and draw the sons and daughters with ranged.

The only potential problem using this method at lvl 23 are the elementals. However, I found if you just focus on the son you should be able to get your kill & vanish before losing the battle. Once you vanish, POOF! so does the elemental and you're on your way to the next target. One catch to this is the 3 min. cooldown for vanish between kills. However, if you've taken the "Jin' Zil's Forrest Magic" Q then between this and the other cenarions you will have plenty to do in the meantime.

Yes, this is a Horde quest and it's rather fun. Solo'd this one at 25 with a 25 pet. Easy to do but it takes awhile to finsih. When you get to Stonetalon Peak you'll find the mobs you need in the temple like structure on the pathway. Don't go charging in there like a bunch of Alliance n00bs. Just pick and chose the mod for single take downs. The Cenarion Botanist is a Night Elf mob therefore they go down faster than a $3 hooker. The Daughter of Cenarius went down almost as fast. The Son of Cenarius was harder due to the Treant he had shadowing him all the time. The Treant hits well but concentrate on the Son. Once he goes down then feel free to use the Treant as firewood to cook up some Gnome stew. The only mob you need to worry about is the Level 27+Elite Night Elf walking around. When this quest is turned in you'll get another, Ordanus, level 29.

My result:
You gain 1500 experience.

I soloed this at lvl 23 with my undead priest. Nothing fancy just do the usual combo of SW:P, PW:S smithe, MB and add fear on the "son" ones also make sure to take "Son" mobs which are far away from other mobs and it'll all be a walk in the park. If you're UD and have your Devouring Plague use it on the one who you're saving to kill for last. Just a tip. I'm a holy priest so it should be even easier for a shadow one.

A good strat for soloing as a hunter to kill the son of cenarius is the ice trap. I soloed this quest at 23. Set down a ice trap, shoot the son of cenarius and the treant goes straight for the trap like a dumbass...hes out for a minute. Plenty of time to kill the cenarius punk.

I solo'd this as a 22 mage. As a mage, your bigest dificultity are the sons. The Daugheters and Botanists are ranged. Just unload everything on them. The Daugheters dont do much damage but their heath regain is moderate. WIth the Sons, I would sheep them then killl the pet then the son. Use the road and your blink when in trouble.

Does doing this quest as a druid, drop your Cenarion Circle reputation? I feel kinda bad to kill other druids regardless of race, and I don't wanna risk my reputation with the Cenarion Circle to go down to "hated".

If on a PvP server be very careful as this is RIGHT next to their city. I had to dodge wandering 27 (elite) alliance guards. Also I came across a lvl 25 AC Hunter while doing this quest. Luckily I saw her before she saw me, and she made the trip to the GY instead of me. But just be very aware - its easy to get distracted and have either an AC (elite) guard or AC sneak up on you.

As a Druid I find the best strategy for NPCs with pets is to root the pet, debuff the NPC and start wailing on him in bear form. When the pet arrives, roar at both of them. Finish off the NPC, change back to caster form to debuff the pet and DOT him, drop into cat form and annihilate the pet.

i was soloing this quest as a lvl 25 shammy-really easy, dont rely on totems 2 much, just use strength totem, maybe fire nova if ya feel like wasting mana....just use stoneclaw totem when u get 2 the sons, & take out the son with spells(lighting, earth, frost) then u just melee the pet with some fire instant spells-very easy quest & possible 2 solo

but, i soloed bout half thru the guys, then i teamed a 25 warrior, & it was just faster
(note, if u team with another ur lvl, get the melee 2 take out sons, & the ranger 2 take out pet)

No, you don't lose rep with the Cenarion Circle. Funny thing is, when you later go to Desolace, you'll see the same daughters of Cenarius except their affiliation is with the Cenarion Circle.. and they say they came from Stonetalon. Hmm...

Solo'd this one with a 23 warlock. Piece of cake! My succubus would take one I would take the other (Son's of Cenarion). Daughters and botanist were no match for me and my demon.
