For those without coords, due north of the N in Auberdine on the map, there's a murloc camp, a beached sea creature, and the buzzbox is just north up the coast from that, almost at the water's edge. If you get the 3 eyes first, it will show up as a yellow ? for you.

One note - The threshers are deceiving. They appear quite small in the water until you engage.
When they get close, they are huge. With a level 13 hunter and a pet bear it takes about 3 minutes.
The water deflects your shots and you need to be underwater to get hits. I found them at the
coords mentioned here, near the shipwreck, north of the 'N'. I got about 4 of them in an hour with
only 1 drop.

I found this at Cosmos Coords. 41,28 or if you don't have Cosmos, just north of the Giant Thresher bones on the beach. Also I thought the drop rate for the eyes was really really crappy. I think I killed like 10 before I got what I needed.

i found a lot at 32,50.. therers like 5-6 there at once... They dont have that bad of a drop rate.. just like every other collect quest ive done so far.. these guys shouldnt be much of a trouble if your the appropriate level

For all those people who have not got a co-ords addon... I recommend Titan bar... Cosmos has alot of bugs in it... and yeah...Titan bar is the way to go... easier to use :-)

Swim to deeper waters and you will see the Thrashers...looks like the Loch Ness Monster! About level 12-14...I only had to kill 3 to get the eyes. Soloed them at level 11...no problem...the Buzzbox is hard to find though. Its WAY farther north on the beach than one would think...see the first sunken ship? Keep going. The large sea animal carcus surrounded by Greymist beasties? Keep going. Just around the rock by the large dead sea animal and the Greymists you will see another sunken ship to the left and a smaller rock to the right. The buzzbox should be right in between. BINGO!

41,28 are the correct coords. Pretty easily found, right in the middle of the beach. It's just north of the giant dead Thresher with all the Greymist Murlocs.

location 35,34. Again, took me only about 5 minutes or less with a lvl 12 Pallie.

Monsters were lvl 13 and 14

Drop Rate = 50% or 1 in ever 2 kills

ok wow ive done quest 3 times the first two times i got eyes no prob third time i didnt get eyes until forever. i got 4 small lustrous pearls before i even got an eye

For me, the droprated sucked, I killed at least 50 of them, untill I had what I needed. I was starting to give up on it - but what kept me going was the fact that I could at least skin them, so it wasn't a complete waste of time.

10 silver seems like a really good deal when you're level 12, but they really make you work for it :/

I hated this quest. The Threshers are frustratingly scarce, and usually you have to find and fight them underwater... awful if like me you're claustrophobic *lol* They're also quite tough to kill for a level 12 Priest (i.e myself).

For those of you who don't have coordinates, the best area I found for Threshers was just off-shore due East of the box itself (refer to the map provided in screenies). I had to kill about 7. Watch out for Merlocs and Frenzies!

Once you have the items required, the Box has a blatant '?' symbol above it and on the map. Can't miss it!

Kyhia's coords of 36,33 is a good place for finding Threshers to kill without worrying about aggro from other mobs. There aren't any Frenzy or Murloc here. I went from 32,33 to 37,33 without aggro and had plenty of Threshers to kill withoput waiting for them to respawn.
The Buzzbox is north of this area so it be a good idea to kill them before getting to the box. There are Frenzy and Murloc close to the Threshers near the box, so hunting there is risky.
The Buzzbox is at 41,28 as posted by others.

The threshers are the loch ness monster-like things around the dock. If you go to the box (41, 28) and swim east, there's a bunch of them, 100% drop rate for me.

I found an island with quite a few around it, and you can go on the island to drink/eat etc at 33, 55. I killed one and got my last eye from there.

For those without coords, It's almost directly west from Ameth Aran's name on the map. Where you see a little thing sticking out, it's the second to farthest island.

I found this quest a total pain in the rear end. Finding the Box was fun esp. since the first one was hidden in plain view. But gettting the Thresher eyes was a drag. The shipwrecks are protected by aggressive nasties that join in when you get too close. I didn't enjoy this at all.

Listen. I can find the Buzzbox easily. What I'm having real trouble with is the 'threshers'? Where are they? And what do they look like? I can't find them at all. To all the people having trouble with finding Buzzbox 411, which I don't see why you do, it's very easy to find, but its down on the shore, laying in the middle of the sand.

Go to the shore, follow it north, the exact loc for it is 42.0, 28.6 . It looks like a piece of machinery. To the left of it are two sunken ships in the water. So if you are there turn right onto the shore. If you take the road north its N/NW of Sashal' Aran. Or directls west from the cave in the waterfall on your mini map.

I think they may have adjusted the drop rate on these. I got one at least every other kill, dunno what % that works out to. About six kills around and under the auberdine docks and I was done. The box itself is just a bit past the dead thresher with murlocs around it at the northern corner of the beach where it rounds out and starts leading east. Friday march 27, 2009.

I found it on the beach, North West of the two ships (the beach curves), past the Threshadon corpse with Murlocks, right by two large boulders on the beach. The box and two boulders form a nice even triangle.

i found "two" (2) buzzbox 411. the 1st one is near the shipwreck the other one is not really far from the 1st one. if you see a tree w/ 2 big rocks (looking from the ship) beside it, its just under. you will not miss this quest. :)

Just stay on the beach and you'll find it. It's just beyond the 'new' beached creature that starts a new quest for the girl in white on the hippogriff dock.

And getting the threashers isn't bad if you figure out how to stay near the surface of the water, where you're underwater but can breathe fine. A group of three had the eyes rather quickly that way.

I was stuck on this for longer than it's worth...

The buzzbox is actually further north than most (including myself) would think...
you go directly north from auberdine...then you will hit a turn to the right (on the shore)...turn right (since if you go forward or left you'll end up in water) and then go north again after the murlocs...the buzzbox will be right there...ah glory!

I found the Buzzbox with no problem at all, But I have killed 4 Darkshore threshers in a row and I still havent gotten a single thresher eye, do i Just have to keep killing them, or am I killing the wrong kind?

jump off the dock in auberdine, and kill the first few you see. you dont even have to leave auberdine to do it. and it has a GOOD drop rate. mine was about 35 %. only killed 8 to get all 3 eyes. took less than 2 mins. right around the sea turtle remains off the island. too easy.

I've found the tree with the rocks, but I can't find the buzzbox anywhere! Please help! I'm confused, is it in the water? Or on the beach? Or on the island with the tree? :S

Buzzbox is right on the waters edge where the water meets the sand. And I tried killing Threshers all over (as a test for me) and the only ones that dropped the eye were the ones closest to the Buzzbox. As in, killing the ones closest to the dock (further south) did not drop any eyes for me. The quest log says "Collect 3 Thresher Eyes from Darkshore Threshers in the deep sea NEAR Buzzbox 411" - so if you are killing threshers and not getting eyes make sure you have not swam out of the area.

Editted (months later): Made another Alliance toon and, while helping someone do his Warrior Quest, I discovered that by killing the Threshers off the Auburdine dock also gave Thresher Eyes. Not a great drop rate, but I did get some. The Threshers were in the way of the crates he had to open.

Box is simple to find, Threshers are not. Took me forever, killed the ones next to the box and nothing. Go to 36,33 and there are tons there. Dropped everytime I killed one.

All of your directions are misleading. It is north of Auberdine on the beach where the water meets the sand, this is fact. However it is not as you say "past" the shipwrecks. It is on the small region of beach directly east of the shipwrecks. -.-

Go north of Auberdine along the coast. You will come across a ship sunken along the shore. I found loads of threshers there. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought they looked like Loch Ness monsters. It took me about 8 kills to get the 3 eyes.

Continue North along the shore, past the turtle thing to 41,28 to find the Buzzbox, also on the shore.

So I went looking for buzzbox 411 today, and along the way I saw some silverleaf. Going off the beach to harvest it, I got my and my pet's tails whipped. Figuring I may as well stay a wisp to look around, I went in search of the buzzbox, starting from where my corpse was heading north.

Suffice to say, if you find the ruins, you've gone too far.

I explored pretty much the entire coastline, then when I went back to look for my corpse, I found the buzzbox instead. It is not up in the grass like the first one is; rather, it is exactly on the beach, just a few steps away from the water line, just past the big sea-green sea monster corpse surrounded by greymists.

To complete the quest you need to locate some Darkshore Thresher, kill it and loot Thresher Eye.
Darkshore Threshers can be found all along the shore deeply under the water. So, swim towards west, there you will locate some.
This quest is a bit annoying as drop chance is a bit low (Vanilla, yup). Otherwise I was probably unlucky that day.

Darkshore Threshers location coordinates are along the shore deeply in the waters.
