These are clearly fire elementals. I killed a couple and got 2 Crystallized Fire, the new mote of fire.

I was farming these Raging Boilers today (the date posted) to test how they were for farming Crystallized Fire.

After 50 Raging Boiler kills I managed to get 13xCrystallized Fire.
Therefore the drop rate is roughly around 26% (13/50).

I was farming last night as well for the Crystallized Fire. Some tips for people to maximize their farmining experience:

I'm a druid so I just went bear form and gathered up as many as I could and started spamming swipe. There's really no difficulty with this mob save for a little debuff that they can hit you with called Boiling Blood This does not stack so you don't need to worry about that, but with 5 or 6 of these guys on you that one debuff will increase dmg coming in from each mob. Just keep an eye on your health and have fun collecting your fire.

The respawn rate is roughly 1 minute, and if you get tired of farming these suckers you can always jump a couple steps west to farm for crystallized water, or head north to hit the air elementals (raging tempest) to farm for crystallized air.

The big mob in this area "Simmer" for the fire's, is NOT KILLABLE He's for a quest in the area and will always "submit" once he gets down to 5% hp. No matter what you do you cannot kill him as he become "friendly" at this point so don't waste your time poking him.

There are also several cobalt nodes in this area for miners, so all round a great area to farm for those early 70's

As a mage these are great to aoe, they ~~seem to~~ spawn based on how many are being killed, frost nova+blizzard kills them in one spell, the only hard part about AoE'ing them is to gather them when they're fighting with water spirits.. :(

Warlocks, as always, seems to be THE best class for this grind. dot-dot-dot, next, dot-dot-dot, next, dot-dot-dot, next, dot-dot-dot, life drain.
Or if you prefer to have full hp and full mana all the time; dot-dot-fear-dot-dot life tap, next, repeat. I prefer this method over the other, cause there is hordes lurking around every corner. This far, I have grinded here from lvl71-lvl72. It beats doing quests by far, since the price for ONE crystallized on my server is 10g, and per eternal its 100g. Well, after just 2 hours of grinding yesterday, I had about 200x crystallized fire. You do the math. ^^ But.. I did check wowecon site, and they say the price is roughly around ~50g per eternal fire(~6g per crystallized fire). So I guess I'm just lucky with my server. But still, 1000g in 2 hours isnt half-bad eigther ^^

edit: killed maybe 400 of these guys, drop rate is 35%(maybe 25% droprate for 1-2 is right, but overall, 35%droprate per crystallized fire)

nice for gold farming, they drop Crystallized Fire at %25 drop rate as seen in here, and you can also get water and air around them, collect everything on them while farming, when i got 4 eternal fire 3 water and 1 air returned to city and junk items cost 77 gold.

Hunters on my server bot these guys, even at off peak times(like 3am) there's at least 5 people or more at spawns constantly farming these guys. At times makes me wish I was in a pvp server just so I can spawn camp those bots. Low drop rate is a downer, but they respawn quick, I suggest using an affliction lock(just run around and dot) or a hunter to farm these guys.

My faction didn't control Wintergrasp and there were tons of Horde there, so as an 80 Rogue I came here to farm the fires; I loved it. They didn't have a huge drop chance and there were 2 other frequent farmers, but they were all low levels and had no gankings, as opposed to Wintergrasp where it's a gankfest.
If you don't have Wintergrasp and you're level 80, I'd recommend these guys. Very easy to kill, no ganks, got 2 eternal fires before I knew it.

farming qith my 80 rogue. killed roughly 100 in about 40 minutes. got 10 crystalized fire's. not a good drop rate, but i am going to see if it improves.

the raging boilers are terrible for farming. I farmed them on my paladin for 30 min and received a sad amount of 2 crystallized fire. I prolly had really bad luck, but you won't see me farming there again.

Really? Yikes, when i farm these i almost always get 10 eternal fires (or 100 crystallized fire) here. They respawn quick, and there are loads of them there even if you are competing with 2-4 other people, u can almost always be killing one.
Eternal fires on my server range from 40-50 gold, so i usually make 450 gold off the eternals and 100g off the random drops equaling to about 500-600 gold an hour. really great and easy.

Looks like this is the only place that has not been nerfed in 3.3.3. Their respawn rate is still (and hope will still be) quick enough for farming.

a magical thing happened today, I stopped by to farm the water eles and saw no gold farmers farming fire...still don't have the water I came for but got some fire.
