The reclusive Night Elves were the first race to awaken in the World of Warcraft. These shadowy, immortal beings were the first to study magic and let it loose throughout the world nearly ten thousand years before Warcraft I. The Night Elves' reckless use of magic drew the Burning Legion into the world and led to a catastrophic war between the two titanic races. The Night Elves barely managed to banish the Legion from the world, but their wondrous homeland was shattered and drowned by the sea. Until recently, the Night Elves closed themselves off from the rest of the world and remained hidden atop their holy mountain of Hyjal for many thousands of years. The Legion's invasion brought the Night Elves out of their long period of slumber. They now have renewed interest in shaping the world, and for the first time are allying themselves with other races to insure the continued survival of Azeroth. As a race, Night Elves are typically honorable and just, but they are very distrusting of the 'lesser races' of the world. They are nocturnal by nature and their shadowy powers often elicit the same distrust that they have for their mortal neighbors.

Epic Classes (Hero classes of Warcraft III)

You can create a character with an epic class once you have two level 60 characters. However these characters must be certain classes to unlock certain epic classes. Epic classes get unique abilities and in some cases, mounts. MEANING...

Let's say you want to unlock these classes

Demon Hunter: Level 60 Hunter and Warlock*
Moon Priestess/Priest: Level 60 Hunter and Priest
Warden: Level 60 Rogue and Druid
(No Keeper of the Grove because he's not Night Elf)

*Now you may be thinking "BUT NIGHT ELF CAN'T BE WARLOCK, DUMB&*!@"

Well this is part of the beauty! because you get some of the warlock abilities when you're a Night Elf!

It applies to other races too. Some complications may arise, how there's only one Dwarven hero in Warcraft III, and zero Gnome heros, one Troll hero, Tauren hero, ect. but it's under construction.

Mountain King: Level 60 Warrior and Paladin
Archmage: Level 60 Mage and Warlock
Blood Mage: Level 60 Mage and Warlock (again)

People say NE girls are n00bs but not all of us are. The fact is NE girls are pretty and some people are jelous of their good looks with my NE female...I made her to RP and to lvl up not to act trashy and be all like dancing all the time and stuff. Some of the human girls give NE girls a bad name! But the truth is NE girls are attractive no matter what the wear or what they do ppl have to learn to live with it!

Hi everyone,

I'm gonna buy the game soon and I wanna have Night elve as my first and main character.
but..... I was thinking aobut being hunter, then I saw the rogue who looks cool, then I noticed the druid has some fun spells.

sooooo... I was just wandering, what do you guys think are the advantages and disadvantages of NE hunter, NE rogue and NE druid and what u would personally pick as main character.

I know I should pick for myself what I like best, but hearing pros and cons might help, besides, I appreciate oppiniums and this shows me yours

k im a night elf rogue.iv been exploring the continent and trying to find new and better weapons.im level 8.i was wondering if theres any way to level up faster then killing basic beasts, like trainers?and if so, where?also iv only had a dagger to use, is there any other weapons i can use at this level then a basic dagger?

This forum doesn't correctly label what shadowmeld does. What happened to that little tidbit in the description about "Night elf Rogues and Druids will be harder to detect while stealthed or prowling."

Imo, it is a VERY handy thing to know when choosing a race for your character. Rogues and druids who are night elf have a noticably better "stealth" and that can come into play throughout that character's tenure.

This may have been talked to death b4, but I have never looked at the wording on this site. Some foolish rogue or druid out there might never have inspected his skills b4, and thinks that shadowmeld is a worthless skill. Well, the "use" ability of Shadowmeld is worthless to rogues, but the constant bonus to stealthing is irreplacable.

Just a thought.

I am a 62 night elf and exalted with darnassus. From what I was told I can get a free epic mount for being exalted, but I have looked all over darnassus and the only thing I could find is the person who sells them for 90 gold.

currently i play another MMO called FFXI or final fantasy 11. im getting kinda bored of it and its economy sucks. at one point i was going to buy WoW but nvr owning a game made by blizzard made me kinda hesitant at best..

so im asking what is WoW like how are the Quest? how do they work payment? how much is payment? how do the chars work? 1 char 1 job? or multiple jobs? do u have to pay for each char? how is the economy? is it hard to progress in the game by yourself? are people helpfull? any thing else you can think of. im really looking forward to getting this game.

I am gettin my new account in the summer and im thinking of being a Nelf, mainly because of the nice animations and there awesome mounts. however i want to be a nelf warrior, for some reason, but i looked at the starting attributes and strength and stuff and they seemed relly weak. tried to play an nightelf on an rp server...
i played my sisters lvl 25 female rouge and after 10 minutes a perv started to hit on me, what moron automaticly assumes anyone playing female, is one irl, AND if i was a woman, why should i give my MSN to a dorky little nerd just becaus he is lvl 60? the fact there is anyone out there who actually think that is a good pickup line is just one of the reasons i think there is something wrong with humanity

(and i know i am a dorky pathetic nerd myself, but if i was a girl i sure as hell wouldnt give me my number...)

Can anyone tell me some good Darnassus Reputation giving quests between 30 and 40? I have about 2050 points until I'm Revered there. I've handed wool and silk clothand done every quest I could find between the NE starting town to Astranaar and a few in Stonetalon. Are there any Darnassus or multi-race quests on the other continent?

I know my fav Race of character is the Night Elfs so i have a idea. Tell me what u think they should add to the Dark Elfs power sets. I figure sense the Dark Elfs only have 5 set a 6th could be added and i was thinking ether a Warlock or a Mage but thats what i think. i was told by a higher lvl than me that at a certain lvl, you can wear chain and plate (if u buy the spell or whatever) is this true, if so at what lvl, and also, i am a skinner/leatherworker, what is the best way for me to make money

I was looking around for mounts for my Night Elf Rogue and I have heard it said that there are special mounts outside the racial ones and the lock and pala ones. Does anyone know anything about this?

I came to WoW from Wc3, never really played an MMORPG before that, and got hooked.
One of my favorite Nightelf heros was the warden. Since the graphics upgrade to WoW and 6 years in WC world, what happened to the Nightelf jailors know as the Wardens? I see them in Moonglade, but they seem to be dressed in another armor set. Oh well this might be a waste of 20 seconds to read this for someone, but I'm curious anyone can help me out here? Thanks.

I was looking at the map of this world and it dawned on me: the night elves are the only good-alinged race on the western hemisphere! while on any other servers this wouldn't make much of a difference on regular servers, but in race war servers this race would most likely get torn apart by the horde races to the immediate south.if i play as this race, i would have to try and be immediately brought to the east, what does anyone else think?

Night elf females seem like a joke, devoid of the exoticness they had in Warcraft III. They do a little flip in the air, their dance is rediculously sexual, they go down to their knees instead of sitting (keeping up with the tone of the dance). This is the kinda stuff I expected from the orcs and trolls, not the ever-majestic and over popular night elves. Anyone else think the same thing?

Lvl 25 NE warrior :-s but i love my charchter hes just strated getting strong but my friend thinks warriors are rubbish let alone NE warriors he hates them both, but it seems to work, in PVP i can take some high lvls its fun couse with execute rend and heroic strike can do alot of damage, but i havnt got much for defensive stance so i dont use it, the only problem is i dont know what to put my talents on...

Should i stick with him?

i've play FFXI myself and i play WoW too.. i enjoy both games and im really a big fan of Warcraft and Final Fantasy games. if to think,Final Fantasy XI is good because you team up with people to do something.. and there races is unqiue but the thing is that in Final Fantasy XI it takes your time in your real life because If your in a HNM LS,the leader always wants you to be there in time and if you don't then they boot your ass out of the ls and you won't get any good armor.. and stuff and Final Fantasy Xi has to deal alot alot alot of money. if you had no money in that game.. then you barely get into partys.. beside if you wear armor or something that say STR+3 or DEX+3 you really don't see the big differents in the damage or accuracy that you done with unless it like STR+10 then only couple damage add.. i even see some people with poor ass armor wipe out a person in Ballista that has God Armor and all these Brutal Earring and stuff.when you get mad at someone in Final Fantasy XI you can't beat them up beside i was a lvl 75 monk/37 Ninja and some other subjob,i can't even barely solo a Decent with low evasion and defense with all my Kirin body and head and Burtal Earring, destroyer etc etc and delay sux..i don't really see a big differents with my Haste Gear on as a Monk too lol that what i hate it about Final Fantasy Xi and i do agree that RMT is taking up Final Fantasy Xi but now Square-enix banned alot of them..Final Fantasy has alot of nice places to visit and graphic r good for a online game but if you talking about Actions and stuff then.. WoW should do the job. What i like about WoW in my option is if someone mess with you and you piss you can duel his ass on the spot. if he decline then keep repeating until his ass duel you.. graphic isnt that great in WoW but at least the world is big and easy money,PvP and when you log into WoW it easy and bang you log on you go out into the world and solo your exp if you want.. but you know don't take my words for it.. i like both games but im just pointing out some disadvantage in Final Fantasy XI and some advantage that Final Fantasy XI should fix. if Final Fantasy Xi is kinda like WoW .. then maybe i might jump back into my Monk again.. and beat up some people in that game that im really piss off like CNTRL DAMN YOU RMT = REal Money TRADE and Yiohsuio. oh,right my name is Kongol in Final Fantasy Xi Holla If You See Me.. oh and in WoW my name is Kongolz ..!
