It would be cool if some sort of a creature from Azjol'Nerub will become an exotic family too, seeing as these two races (Qiraji and Nerubians) were descended from the same race.

Think a silithid would be better if you could tame one of the swarmers in tanaris, and still got it's lil swarm ability. Very useful ability if ur fighting a pally without retribution aura or a mage without magma armor etc.

wat noone seems to have mentioned is that this pets special ability plus the BM spec intimidation= one long stun if u use them right after each other

I tamed one last night after the patch went live. They hop around while idle and some hunters may not like that so that should be something you should keep in mind in deciding whether or not you want to tame one.

i'm having a hard time taming this for some reason. have the 51 BM build. but the silthid keeps knocking me down in the middle of taming, which interrupts the effect, and i have to start all over again. any advice?

I really like this pet for solo grinding. One big glitch I'm sure everyone is aware of is the "pet waltz" where upon engaging a mob, they both try to move into position and end up side-stepping an immense distance. The root prevents that. You can stop the waltzing by briefly recalling the pet, but the web makes that unnecessary.

one effect it seemed to have in PvP was the fact that enemies had difficulty targeting it since its always fidgeting... quite funny actually

Alright, nobody cares what you did on the PTR, things change, and now is the only thing that matters.

And right now there's no Silithid pets in the Burning Crusade or Wrath of the Lich King, their Venom Wrap is reduced in PvP, and with the long cooldown it's not too effective in Raids or PvE.

fun pets but people will "bug" you to no end (lol) about where you get it 5 minutes after i tame i head into UC and get 3 psts at once saying the exact same thing "whats that pet?" named him Mojo, and he is pretty fun though he has a little trouble holding multiple mobs

Hey, just to let you know, I am currently a BM hunter at level 69 now, and I dont know about you guys, but my cunning pets do way more dps than ferocity pets now due to the Wolverine Bite cunning pets can now get. In randoms with some buffs, (like kings on me and might on my pet) on a boss i can pull around 1400 dps, and normally around 52-59% of my dps is my pet. I tested out a couple of cunning pets, and the ones that seem to the most damage is the Nether Ray, and its strange because its CD on its ability is 28 seconds. Strangely enough my Sporebat is one of my highest DPS pets, then followed by the Chimaera and then my raptor (which is my backup pet if the boss does alot of damage to pets.)

So I guess since the change on Wolverine Bite, I see cunning pets the #1 on dps again, but ferocity not much behind.

Ok so everyone seems to agree that this is the epic upgrade for a spider (which in my opinion is the best pvp pet in the game), but the question is, is it worth it to give up other possible specs to go BM just for this pet? Im guessing not, but never sure. BMs a good spec too, so maybe going BM and getting this as a pet would be better then keeping my spider and going MM or SV. Any suggestions on this?
