My brother and I were doing the tier 0.5 quest line (at 70). Before you take the boss you have to right click on a thing in front of him. Apparently two people aren't enough. We asked a druid that was right outside to help us. So it turns out, you need three or more people to fight Pyroguard Emberseer.

Edit: This ritual only requires one person as of patch 3.0.8.

He is easy as hell. the only thing you need to worry about is if your 60tank isnt well geared his fire damage might require some extra heals. but all other wise 61+ tanks will do fine and hell drop like a sack of (favorite vegetable here)

Killing the warlocks but failing to kill the Emberseer bugged the encounter. It didn't reset, and he didn't respawn. No way to open the doors then. :(

Interesting, but useless, fact if you stand at the altar 'channelling' for long enough with out releasing the mobs (one or two people) you begin to have flames surround you for a few seconds periodically while you maintain the channel. Looks exactly like when a Warlock Immolates you.

confirmed to be summonable alone now, the adds won't manualy aggro though so once they become targetable you'll have to aggro them yourself

You absolutely CAN do this alone. No need for 3 people anymore.

Fun fact, if you start his encounter and then do not engage him when he becomes attackable (I stayed stealthed behind him) he will immediately aggro to one of the dragons in the rookery and start fighting with them until he is killed.

If soloing this, do not try to LOS all the summoners to the entry door to try and clump them up. You will get locked outside and emberseer will eventually despawn without you in the room. The door will reopen and you won't be able to get past the second door in the room ... >.<

.. or else it's exit, reset instance, get the annoying "additional instances cannot be launched" error for 30mins, finally get an instance and try again.

Found this out the hard way while working twords the loremaster achivement.

1: Click on the altar for 5-10 seconds.
2: kill the adds
3: wait for boss to emote his way up
4: he will aggro you and you kill him

As of Patch 3.3 he is no longer a "Level ? (Boss)", but just a regular level 60 elite.

boss is soloable. just did it as a 72 rogue. first time i tried fought the adds then boss killed me in one hit. had to reset the instance. 2nd time i started to fight the adds, vanished let boss kill adds then aggroed boss. easy kill.

This is the first boss in UBRS, its the fire elemental in the 3th hall after entering. You need to click the altar on your left (when you enter the room) to "summon" this boss. When you do so, you will first be attacked by +- 8 mobs.

first there was a poster who stated that this guy doesnt drop anything special.

whoever said that is out of their mind, for one wildfire is one of the best fr capes u can get, yes it doenst have states, but the 20 fr from one item that drops from a easy boss is the best u will get

second, the trurestrike shoulders, a very good pre-mc shoulders for any feral druid or rogue

it was funny, one time in a run, the shoulders dropped, and someone rogue who didnt say a word the whole run up to the point ninja'd them and hearth out

Players can now solo this mob, clear the orcs in the room with him and he will start to grow, there will be a message about him being almost at full strength (patience this takes a while) then he will become targetable.

No longer need 3 players to summon him from the altar.

pretty much a not too hard fire elemental boss, hes the 1st one that you encounter, doesnt drop anything special, gauntlets of elements to be mentioned...havent seen much from him

I don't know if he is supposed to start dropping Totem of the Storm, but it did drop for me off this boss. Then I realized it was worth 250g and sold it.

pretty easy as a hunter, just have pet attack whoever is encasing you

Pyroguard Emberseer is incorrectly a level 60 elite in Classic, rather than a level ? boss as in Vanilla.
