Skinning this doggies is a pretty easy way to get Rugged Leather since they drop it often (much more than the other mobs of this level).
A great application to the leather could be making Rugged Armor Kits for the Darkmoon fair, (Easiest way to get tickets if you are a Skinner/Leatherworker).

These guys were very useful when levelling my cooking. They drop the Tender Wolf Meat needed for the Tender Wolf Steak (https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=18046). The best place to find them is around the big bones stuck in the ground that you find around Tanaris.

i like this pet beacuse he can do a lot a damge and dosent pull the target to me. I named him Smiley :)

These spots are no longer relevant for BFA. I found one in the far east close to the cavern of time. They are not abundant as they look in this map.

The best thing about these guys is that they stop mid-combat, sit down and scratch their ear. Priorities :)

This information is out of date. I’m trying to farm for tender wolf meat. These are listed as dropping it, and not only are they not as plentiful as suggested by this, they do not ever drop anything but mystery meat. I’ve earned the exploration achievement for Tanaris and killed every hyena I’ve seen. Only mystery meat.
