These buggers are totally overpowered. To me as a caster these things are -terrible-. I swear they have a 1.00 to 1.50 Attack Speed and they feel like rogues.

Encountered one wandering with a heard of other plainstriders kinda like the kodo and gazelle herds. First time I've seen one- maybe its a new thing with 2.4.2?

What Hammerskull is trying to say is: they are not neutral in an area with neutral mobs, they can jump you unaware, they follow you alot, and you may pull adds.

Be careful, just a heads up.

These may share the same spawn timers as Sunscale Scytheclaws, so if the raptors arent spawning, just kill a few of these and you should make raptors as well. :D

anyone have the attack speed on this guy? because it seems that when fighting them in the wild they attack very quickly which is super annoying for casters. so if they do have an atk spd of like, 1.5ish i would so get one. thanks in advance!

These are okay pets for a hunter of similar level.

They will let you learn the skill cower 2 as Lord Dread noted above. They're pretty good fighters, with an attack speed of 1.3, but they can only learn bite, not claw.

Diet is the big drawback -- They exclusively eat fruit and fungi.

For comparison's sake, the lowest level Ornery P-strider I found was level 16, I don't know where the lvl 15 that Alla lists are hiding. At level 16 its base (content) damage is 9.0 dps, armor 721, hp should be 374 (with 6% bonus from talents, mine is 396)

I have done my best to provide Map Mouseovers for each and every beast, wherever possible!
Unfortunately some do not yet have maps, but these will automatically be added to this post when they're added to the NPC's page.

Cower, causing no damage but lowering your pet's threat, making the enemy less likely to attack your pet.

Contrary to what some sites would have you believe (Petopia, Wowiki etc), this bastard refuses to eat fish, or bread. I caught one for the puroses of learning cower 2, and he refused to eat anything except fruit. had to run all the way back to the Crossroads just to buy some Shiny Red Apples
