No idea why, but when I was in a group with a friend (both of us had the quest), only one person could loot the "Frostgrip's Signet Ring" required for the quest from Drom Frostgrip in the same cave.

I was at 25.6, 68.2, headed out of the cave with the quest, wondering where the Stormforged Monitor was, when he jumped out of an upper ledge, down at me, accompanied by a Stormforged Eradicator golem-thing. In that encounter, I also had a Frostborn dwarf soldier spawn, and help me with the Eradicator (good thing too, because I had started that fight at half health).

There was a bit of quest dialogue, with both the Monitor and the Frostborn. After the fight concluded, I was able to loot the Quest Item ring from the Monitor's corpse.

First time I fought him, I engaged the eradicator and killed it before the Frostborn finished his lines, then killed the Monitor without help. After the fight I was unable to loot. Only took a couple minutes to find and kill a new Monitor, but make sure they play out their little scene.

He drop down at 25. 68 (around) for me, and then he said:

One party member killed him, and we waited 2-3 minutes for him to respawn for the last partymember to get the ring.
