His fire breath can (and will, should you aggro him) knock you out of the sky, off your flying mount, and out of flight form, so stay clear! (Unless you like the sound of splat.)

There are four dragons that you can summon in Blade's Edge Mountains - Rivendark, Obsidia, Furywing, and Insidion. Furywing requires 35 Apexis Shards to summon and is associated with the quest "To Rule the Skies" https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/quest=11078

Furywing is basically an Onyxia clone tailored for 3-5 people. He uses the following abilities:

Melee Attack - hit the tank for about 450-600 damage
Cleave - standard cleave attack
Flame Breath - frontal cone attack for about 600 fire damage
Tail Swipe - knockback effect from the tail of the dragon (similar to Onyxia's). Our fury warrior kept getting knocked backwards right off the ledge.
Bellowing Roar - AoE fear, similar to Onyxia's
Wing Buffet - cast on the tank; similar to Firemaw's Wing Buffet. This ability reduces the threat on primary target by a significant amount and knocks that target back. It's not a big deal if the tank loses aggro, since Furywing is not immune to taunt.

Two manned as of 1/2/08, holy Paladin and fire mage . Was an extremely hard fight compared to the rest of them, I got aggro unexpectedly several times throughout the fight, and had to do ressurect runs while the paladin took it and tanked. It took about 20 minutes but it went down, finally. Watch where you're standing, and watch the buffets, and you'll be fine.

2 manned this and other 3 dragons as elemental shaman tanking/dps with a resto druid healing, takes time but very doable in heroic level gear.

Solo'd as a lvl 70 Retadin in Tier 4 - Very enjoyable fight, took around 10 mins

I saw one and i coulden't kill hem he just started casting fire spell which started throwing me away from hem too far! then i was stand like a fool until he killed me.

Furywing is bugged. His eggs aren't at his perch and he is not moving around like the other dragonkin

This dragon, like the other 3, is easily 3-man-able. I killed them all with me healing (holy/disc priest), feral druid tanking, and a ret paly for extra dps.

Furywing was our last one... the druid broke the egg, but no dragon came out. He opened a ticket and pretty much got shooed away by an unhelpful GM. So we're sitting there trying to figure out what to do next, and the paladin sees Furywing flying overhead. He resummons via the egg as the dragon is flying, and sure enough, Furywing comes down and we kill him.

So... if you plan on killing him, make sure to summon when he's flying overhead... otherwise, he'll never show up. :)

Oh and GMs pretty much suck. That is all. :)

I was flying over Blade's Edge mountains in flight form, and I saw this huge dragon coming at me. So I turned and flew away as fast as my wings would carry me, which seemed really slow at the time. Does anyone know if he attacks when he flies near you like those nether drakes in the Singing Ridge?

FYI when you get the 4 scales click on 1 and they'll combine into a blue cloak. If you don't get one you want do NOT vend it--the Co. at Skyguard will give you a blue Apexis crystal for it that you can use in Ogri'la when you attain the rep to buy something you want, much more valuable than 2g.

Wing buffet that drops tanks aggro, fear, and flame breath

I collected the 35 shards and summoned this big guy. didnt know there was a quest/event/whatever. Solo'd him full strength as a lvl 77 hybrid DK. Death strike+rune tap= Easy.

Clown dragon doesn't even have the decency of putting you into combat. He just casts one fireball for 3000 damage and moves on.

Clicking on the egg during Phase1 TBC Classic doesn't do anything. My friend and I also tried aggroing from the air, and levitating / divine protection to not die from fall damage and that didn't work either.

So it appears this isn't doable in Phase 1 :(
