he's a great npc to stop by every couple hours if your farming in winterspring, between the gromsblood and the felcloth, you can make a couple gold by buying him out whenever he has the items

ive camped inside the cave for a day now randomly logging in to see if he has felcolth...its never available! just gromsblood....maybe it only becomes available when im not in the cave??

Must be overfarmed in that area on your server. I still get the Felcloth and Gromsblood off this NPC. I'll keep track of time since i just got some and post an update of any new time they may have put in place.

3 hours on the dot and the gromsblood has reappeared. Felcloth has not.

Confirm, still sells 2 Felcloth and 4 Gromsblood at limited supply.

I will also note that this guy's extremely convenient when farming Wintersaber Trainers rep, having done the grind myself....

As the Frost resistance potion recipe is now useless on my server, I normally came out of Frostwhisper Gorge with about five in my bags that I had no real use for, but didn't mind getting the 50-or-so silver that the recipe itself would vendor for.... so I'd stop by Vi'el and dump my stuff off there. He was more "in path" of the path I took north and south, only to stop by Everlook if I had lots of Runecloth to send off to an alt.

I will also note that thanks to Blizzard's 2.3 patch, one no longer gets "flavor dialogue" with Vendor NPCs, so you can't see the humorous things that Vi'el would say to you; it just sends you directly to the goods window. =(

at 4:37pm i got another 2 felcloth for 80s

so seems about a half hour on the respawn of vender stuff

seems not
atm its 4:57pm and they where already back again with 3 gromsblood

I have been camping him for quite some time now. (A few days anyways). Everytime I log in he has gromsblood which sells for not a bad amount on my server. But, no fel cloth. I would presume someone would take the gromsblood AND the felcloth as well.

Can anyone verify if he still carries fel cloth?

Confirmed, he still drops fel cloth. Gotten 1 and 2 from him, just a rare spawn

I'm convinced that the Gromsblood respawns a lot faster than the felcloth. I've been camping this place for hours while farming the mobs, the gromsblood has respawned 3 times and still no felcloth, he had 4 gromsblood and 2 felcloth when I got there.

i will confirm that he still sells felcloth. Ive been in the area for about forty mins killing the demons surrounding his cave and checking him about every 5-10 mins so far he has sold me one felcloth and about four grooms blood.

I visited old Vi'el after I had been looking for the ONE vendor in all of WoW land who supposedly sold Felcloth. Well, I have yet to see him with any...perhaps the patches affected his supplies.....I have seen where sometimes he has up to 5 Grom's Blood to sell, and sometimes he has none. Maybe its a random spawning thing, and he will have Felcloth on a subsequent visit?

I needed some Gromsblood so I flew up to Winterspring to buy some from this guy.
He didn't have any dialogue, he's just a vendor.
He didn't have any Gromsblood O Felcloth.

Missed the next exact time but came back 30 mins later - more gromsblood

either it's changed or Felcloth takes more than 5 respawns to appear

though i did get 1 felcloth killing while I waited ... low drop rate :( QQ

Ok just been back to Vi'el again .. think it was 30 mins after last time

and yes we hvae Felcloth X2 and Gromsblood X3

so perhaps i tried in last post just after someone had picked up the Felcloth

still thats 5 respawn beforee the Felcloth was available again ... not much faster than farming I think

Tho i tried killing in Felwood and was there an hour with no Felcloth dropping and iw as killing lots of them ...at least you KNOW you'll get some if u camp Vi'el

I think they removed fel cloth and gromsblood from this NPC... Over an hour waiting now and no cloth or herb... Also no cloth or herb when i got here... :)

He's partially guarded by 2 60+ elite demons and a demon dog at the entrance to the cave. You can fear both mobs to run away to get to em so... gl.

Well there is 1 mob, but the cords are right. I just walked past the mob, just have to watch out. If anything just buy the stuff and run.

i was wondering if anyone knew the respawn time for the felcloth he sells. sometimes when i'm farming for arcane crystals i check him out in darkwhisper gorge and i always buy the gromsblood (10silver a pop ain't bad) and he sometimes has 2 pieces of felcloth on him...just wondering about the respawn timer for his limited items.

80s for felcloth is AWESOME, considering 2 felcloth = 1 mooncloth that sells for about 18g! Wish we knew the respawn time though...

Its pretty easy to get there without getting any agro, but he had no gromsblood or felcloth. as soon as u enter the gorge, take a slight right uphill and hes inside the cave guarded by a lvl 60 l33t demon dog

As far as i can tell, the cd(cooldown) for felcloth is every two day. I camped out in his cave logging in and out every chance i had spare time. Unless i had bad timing(someone else buying it before i logged in), its every two days.

I checked it today, the Groomsblood is every 15 minutes the felcloth is random as far as i can tell. He's generally camped; on my server there was a lvl 2 bot that logged in every 15 minutes to pick up the items. I keep one of my low tunes there to kill him now if i see him.

Yeah there's a bot on Stormrage too. I was ther getting my Rod and saw the thing spawn and then it was gone again within a minute. Then when I got back to IF I saw a person with almost the same name selling lots of Felcloth.

I was lucky and saw 2 felcloth in store when I got there... but when I had bought them and the icon had turned grey I just right clicked a couple times more in a quick succession for no reason and to my surprise I got a 3rd felcloth! o.O

the felcloth and gromsblood are limited supply and are usually camped. i know this because i do it too. so if hes not selling it to you, wait for awhile.

if you really want this stuff, keep a character there for a few hours and check on it every so often

it may appear random, but ive been checking frequently and it seems gromsblood restocks every ~45 minutes (at least, people might be beating me without me noticing). felcloth respawned after 2 hours. gromsblood along with it.

as posted previously if you click fast while you are buying you will get xtra i have gotten felcloth from vendor twice today first time he had 1 i got 2 second time he had 2 i got 3 neat little trick you should check it out :)

Couldn't sneak around the dog, so I feared him. Ran into the cave and, unfortunately all the felcloth was gone but he had Infernal stones, which is what I was primarily looking for. But the dog chased me all the way into the cave. Feared him again. Didn't work. Feared him a third time. He ran out; stopped, ran back in and two-shotted me, with the felguard bashing on him all the time.

I know he's a 60 Elite, but he hits like about a 62 Elite. Why should visiting the only reagent vendor in WS be a terminal event? Am I missing something? Is this just the designers' idea of a joke? I laughed all the way to the repair guy. : (

EDIT: The good news. He still didn't have any felcloth but getting out of the cave is easy. Sent Eye of Kilrogg out, the dog chased it and I walked out with no problem at all. Stay in the hills and it's easy to avoid the gate guards.

Well i sat there for an hour just talking to friends waiting to see if felcloth poped up...but just my luck it didn't.I don't think it is an hour cooldown on Malfurion

After logging on for a third time today he did have the Felcloth. The first 2 times were gromsblood.

Ive gotten about 40 gromsblood from this guy and 8 felcloth. The gromsblood at the AH is hit and miss. I just camp him every time I log since I dont want xp (wanna stay 59 for awhile). You can sneak past the guard if yuo wait till he goes right and sneak up on the left.

Well I'm camping him, and getting the demonic runes that drop off the guys outside for my Fel Cloth set for my Lock. and the Groomsblood on Dreanor realm respawns in less than 20 minutes. I have not gotten any Fel Cloth yet tho.

Its Confirmed.
On Dreanor...Fel Cloth is a random spawn time
it took around 20 minutes one time and around an hour and half another.
It is also random in quanity
I had 3 the first time and 1 the second time.
ANd lastly, The herb respawns every 20 or so minutes..maybe less. idk.

I've done it yesterday, i'm druid lvl 60.
I just have to go into stealth, past the 2 hederine slayers at the entrance of Darkwhisper Gorge, go up to a hill at your right, past the felhound patrolling in front of the cave, and inside you could find Vi'el.
Really easy for rogues and druids!

You can easily sneak past the guards to get to him in the cave.

I've been reading what people have been saying about when he'll repop felcloth and gromsblood... well, I went there, and this is how it's gone so far.

11:40... arrived, he had 3 gromsblood.

And that's where I stand now. And for those who will inevitably ask, there was nobody else here the entire time. I'm on a low population server, no chance someone ninja'd anything before I could get to it. I'll update later when I finally get felcloth.

Went to Felwood after this experiment and spent 2 hours and 20 minutes camping the jadefires. In that time, I managed to loot 9 more felcloth. Vendor camping is teh sux... unless you can't get something elsewhere, that is (I hate you, Qia)

Its about every 15 mins or so he'll respawn a couple of items. 1st to times is was gromsblood, first two then five. then the 2 felcloth spawned. Id say if your borde and you got other things to do in the house just leave your toon sitting there and come back and check on him about every 15 mins.

I can confirm that Gromsblood has a 15 minute timer. I'm unsure about felcloth.

It's the very first cave on the right. The only mob you need to worry about is the felhound patrolling in front of the cave. But if you time it right, you can get by without aggro.

Does this guy actually sell Felcloth, and is it an unlimited supply? Seems like Felcloth is a pain to farm, and its going for 70g for 20 on the AH on my server.

after last patch oct 2006 I've been waiting around for two hours and no gloomsblood or felcloth. they must have changed the timing.

On Kirin Tor, he is perma-camped by at least a half dozen players, I even saw a level 2 in there. I think, in the end, it's faster to farm satyrs for felcloth than it is to get lucky enough to beat the farmers to his supply.

managed to ride past the 2 guys at start, thn sent VW to aggro the elite, grabbed wat i needed, x2 Felcloth and Fel Elemental Rod and left, pet died but not me!

SO I went here about an hour ago and all he had was 2 Gromsblood. I logged in just now at the vendor and he had 1 Felcloth and 4 more Gromsblood. Sweet.

Go far south to Darkwhisper Gorge. Just where this area begins you will see two elite demons. Behind them, slightly to the right is a cave, in which you will find Vi'el.

The guy is protected by 3 demons. The first two, the ones already mentioned, you can sneak past, just stick close to the mountain side on your right. The guy in front of the cave entrance is a lvl 59 elite, and slightly hard to kill:) If you can, send pet/minion/elemental to aggro. Otherwise try and bind him somehow while u rush in and get the stuff u need.

He has 1-3 Felcloth, and I'd say the respawn is at least an hour.

Vendor is currently missing in Wow Classic. The cave he is in at 58,78 is has the art assets (tables, lab equipment, books), but he is not there.

So Ive made it to the cave, and hes simply not here? Ive waited for about 30 minutes with no body or anything on the ground. Is there a specific time he is there or a quest/level req?

This npc is still missing as of end of phase 4, July 24th. I expect he will not be in game until phase 5 where a quest is done with it.
