Sayge offers a series of very useful buffs if you answer his questions correctly.

1.1 +10% Damage - 1st: Slay the Man 2nd: Execute your friend painfully
1.2 +10% Magical Resist - 1st: Slay the Man 2nd: Execute your friend painlessly
1.3 +10% Armor - 1st: Slay the Man 2nd: Let your friend go
2.1 +10% Spirit - 1st: Turn him over to liege 2nd: Confront the diplomat
2.2 +10% Int - 1st: Turn him over to liege 2nd: Show not so quiet defiance
2.3 +10% Magical Resistance - 1st: Turn him over to liege 2nd: Remain quiet
3.1 +10% Stamina - 1st: Confiscate the corn 2nd: Speak against your brother openly
3.2 +10% Strength - 1st: Confiscate the corn 2nd: Help your brother in
3.3 +10% Agility - 1st: Confiscate the Corn 2nd: Keep your brother out without letting him know.
4.1 +10% Int - 1st: Let him go and have the corn 2nd: Take credit, keep gold.
4.2 +10% Spirit - 1st: Let him go and have the corn 2nd: Take credit, Share the gold.
4.3 +10% Armor - 1st: Let him go and have the corn: 2nd: Let the knight take credit

At the Darkmoon Faire, players can also receive free buffs by talking to a fortune telling gnoll named Sayge. When players talk to Sayge, he asks the player a few questions and gives the player a buff depending on how the player answered the questions.
Below is a list of possible buffs players may receive:

Sayge's Dark Fortune of Strength :+10% Strength
Sayge's Dark Fortune of Agility :+10% Agility
Sayge's Dark Fortune of Stamina :+10% Stamina
Sayge's Dark Fortune of Intelligence :+10% Intelligence
Sayge's Dark Fortune of Spirit :+10% Spirit
Sayge's Dark Fortune of Armor :+10% Armor

if you take the fortune quiz he gives you and you want a certain buff answer the questions like this

You can get all the different buffs on one character.

When you get one, pop your char in the inn for two hours and out again to get another buff if the fair is still there. (Make sure u get a different one as same ones don't stack.)

Recommended for alts :p

Buffs go on base stats, so rather weak.

Going for damage is your best bet.

Sayge is an homage to the classic Ultima series of role playing games. In Ultima IV, V, VI and IX, the game began with a meeting with The Gypsy fortune teller, and your answers to her moral dilemmas determined the stats your character would begin with.

I don't know about the others, but the "+10% to stamina" buff gave me a grand total of 180 health. Since I have 2761 stamina unbuffed, that's a little over half a percent.

I have 172 base stamina though, and 10% of that with talents would work out to about what I'm getting.

The buffs are not random, they are determined by the answers you give to the questions. For example if you give the brutal type answers of killing and causing pain you get the 10% damage buff and so on. The fortunes, however, are random and have no relatance to answers.

I tested the buffs with myself and others so it is true as of this date.

how long is this cooldown anyway? the buff i know is 2 hours, but the cooldown seems like it can be more than 3 hours : / but then again, i haven't really been counting.

some info about this would be nice, and thanks for the tip about the buffs :P surely go for 3+3 :P

For some reason the buffs seem to be bugged and they disappear now whenever certai nevents occur - for example i got Sayge's dark fortune of damage then used my transporter (engineering) and it malfunctioned. The "buff" from teh transporter that kept me shifting shapes wiped the buff Sayge had given me. Happened again too but the second time i am not sure what wiped it - all i know is these buffs no longer stick very well ........ i suspect this is a bug and it needs to be fixed.

You can get a new fortune from him every 4 hours.

id like to point out that although the buffs SEEM to be very nice indeed, only a few of there are in fact usefull...

the following buffs are calculated a BASE factor i.e it buffs u 10% of ur stamina(for example)

these buffs are: intelect, agility, strenght, stamina, spirit

the only buffs that are not set back by this are +dmg , +resist and +armor

also: the resist buff gives now +25 (not %) to all schools

in addition the armor buff, increases the value of every item u have on, or put on.

quite like an extra toughness talent :)

If you happen to get the fortune that Sayge gives that has the quest, this quest is THE ONLY way to get repuation with the Darkmoon Faire after you hit the turn-in quest cap at around 2000 rep.

When you hit 2000 something rep, you will no longer receive reputation from the turn-in quests, however you will still receive the same amount of tickets.
