Simone is seen as one of the easiest of the 4 demons that you must slay for the hunter quest. She patrols western Un'goro as 'Simone the Inconspicuous' and only a hunter on the Rhok'delar quest can challenge her. As with all the demons, you must kill her alone, meaning that nothing can assist you (horde or alliance alike) in the kill, including your pet. Symone will also 1 hit any non-hunter class if they get within around ~25 yds of her.

There are two things that can make this fight difficult, her pet, a felhound named Precious and low nature resistance. Most hunters tend to CC Precious by freezing trap it and then using https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=2091 to put it to sleep after the trap fades. Using ranged attacks is useless because she casts a debuff that substantially lowers ranged attack power. Your best bet is to use aspect of the wild + a greater nature protection potion (to dull and absorb her lightning bolts) and melee her until she falls.

(Strategy from TKA something)

Strengths:
* Her pet turns into an elite felhound when the encounter begins
* Casts Temptress' Kiss which reduces ranged attack power by 1400 for 45 seconds and a slow casting lightning bolt for about 800 damage
* The demon and the felhound cannot be kited at the same time

Weaknesses:
* Viper Sting causes a silenced state on the demon
* Her pet is susceptible to ice trap
* Her lightning bolt can be interrupted with Scatter Shot. Aspect of the Wild helps reduce the damage it does (from 800 to about 200)
* Her melee damage output is relatively weak - you can kite her but you're probably better off meleeing

Strategy:
I consider myself a well-equipped hunter for melee purposes, so I didn't really mess around with too many gimmicks here. I simply dropped a Freeze Trap in front of me, Aimed Shot the demon, and let the felhound run into the trap because she's trying to stop to cast. Concussive Shot her and wait until the last possible second to apply the Viper Sting before she gets within melee range. That way, you have roughly 15 seconds of un-interrupted melee against her until she can even cast again. After Viper Sting wears off, either interrupt her lightning with Scatter Shot or get back out of melee range and apply another Viper Sting. Rinse and repeat. You can use Aspect of the Wild to help reduce the lightning damage, but I chose to just to use Aspect of the Monkey and tank her, interrupt with Scatter Shot. Found it to work very well. You also do not need to kill the felhound solo after she dies.

* Alternatively, you can kill the felhound first. Lay a Freeze Trap, with your target for the trap being the demon herself. Have Aspect of the Cheetah on and make sure to line up a kitepath. You can open with an Aimed Shot the felhound or Concussion Shot, Serpent Sting and then start kiting. Do not fire another Concussion Shot on the felhound once the battle begins. You want to maintain your lead ahead of the Demon once Freeze Trap breaks as you kite the felhound around. You should merely shoot the felhound with Arcane, and re-apply Serpent Sting when it fades. Once the felhound is dead, Serpent Sting the incoming Demon (make sure to do this quickly so that she doesn?t abandon aggro on you). Run in, and melee her. When she begins to cast her lightning bolt, count to 3, and use Scatter Shot. Then continue to melee her down after switching to Aspect of the Wild.

*Additional items to bring: Mongoose Potion, Demonslaying Potion, Whipper Root Tuber, Major Health/Mana Potion, Nature Protection Potion

Suggestions:
* You may want to bring a hunter friend along, who will feign death for the duration of the battle, while keeping Aspect of the Wild on. That will free you up to use another Aspect during the fight. Remember that you will have to remain in range of them for this to be effective (and the fight will have to be under six minutes).
* If you are an engineer, you can use the Goblin Rocket Helmet to take the Felhound pet out of the fight for an extended duration (in addition to freezing it).
* If you are not an engineer, try to obtain some Magic Dust. Its effect puts the enemy target to sleep for up to 30 seconds. Any damage caused will awaken the target. Only one target can be asleep at a time. It is a rare drop from Dust Devils (who are themselves rare) in Westfall.

I froze the pet and meleed her. wingclip every few seconds to get out and viper sting her. when the trap broke, I used magic dust to sleep the pet. when that broke, I used deterance to help me tank out the last little bit. once she died, I looted and feigned death, never had to kill the pet. My hunter is an undergeared alt (by domo-chest looting standards, anyway) so I used the following tricks:

1)"demonslayer" sword with a demonslaying enchant
2)elixir of demonslaying
3)elixir of greater intelect (though I had no mage buff, so if a mage buddy wants to tag along, that works)
4)elixir of the mongoose
5)priest fort buff
6)sayge's dark fortune of damage (darkmoon fair buff, 10% bonus damage)
7)greater nature resist pot
8)major health pot
9)whipper root tubers (didn't actually use one, but I had it on hand)

I did this fight with only a paladin for Blessing of Wisdom after the 2.01 patch. I used a nature resistance potion and aspect of the wild. Here is my strategy, I'm horribly geared (Hurricane bow).

Place a frost trap, wait for the cooldown to finish. Pull her with an aimed shot then concussive shot, the pet should step in the trap. As soon as it does, lay another trap directly on top of the iced up pet, do it immediately to start the timer. Melee her down, I used scatter shot to interrupt her lightning, but if you have a nature protection potion (or two), it shouldn't really matter. The pet will break trap and step in the next trap. Keep meleeing Simone down. When the second trap breaks, throw some magic dust at the pet. It's not hard to get, and it will almost ensure victory. When your icetrap cooldown is finished, place another one directly on top of the sleeping pet, when the sleep breaks, it will step into the trap again.

That's two traps, magic dust, and another trap. If they last their full duration (they did for me), without talented traps, that's 90 seconds of no pet (108 with talents). I used an Ice Barbed Spear to melee her down, the pet was only hitting me for the last chunk of the fight.

Put on your nature resistance gear and aspect of the wild and you should have no problem killing her regardless of interrupts on the bolts. I don't believe that you need to waste time doing viper sting, just hang in melee range and keep chain trapping the pet, making sure to keep her and the pet separated so she doesn't step on your trap.

I believe that most of the Hunter demons work like this: If you are underprepared, you will either lose or barely win. If you come prepared with the appropriate strategy, you'll win with most of your life left. At least, that's how it was with me.

This fight is quite easy as long as you can CC either Simone or Precious. The hardest part imo is finding the right spot to fight her, Devilsaur adds can ruin your day ;)

Since the 2.0 patch this fight is even easier with traps being able to be set in combat.

Trap precious and melee Simone, keep Aspect of the Wild up or use a Greater Nature Protection potion two minutes prior to the fight and use Aspect of the Monkey instead. You can simply deterrance tank inbetween trappings of Precious or you can head to Westfall and kill the Dust Devil's there and aquire Magic Dust which you can use on Precious.

The changed Viper Sting no longer seems to apply a silence effect to her anymore.

If you are having trouble you can try and split Precious from Simone and kill him first with a kite around the Golakka Hot Springs.

I would like to note that on my hunter whos speced BM, that you can definitely have your pet out while you fight simone just do not have it engage her or her pet. I used it for spirit bonds regen effect this most definitely does work completed it no more then 10mins before this post.
Artorius is still confirmed to drop head in his tauren form. Solenor aswel, just note do not have pet out for either of those nor Klinfran. Klinfran and Simone do not attempt out of their true forms or they will instagib you with fools plight. They are too easy of fights to need to take them on the way they are.

If you accidentally send your pet in at any point, human form or otherwise, Cleaners get summoned and they will wipe you out.

Think about the children, dismiss your pet or respec out of BM- it's more hassle than it's worth.

She's there for the hunter quest NPC, and won't let anyone else get close. That's why she'll nuke you for an insane(!) amount of damage, you're not supposed to be there.

She stays for 15mins every 3hours. If anyone interfere with you soloing her, its game over.. as usual. She's a %^&*! all the low lvl dudes not knowing whats going on and stuff, running into the line of fire, thus ruining it it all.

Simone roams around, she doesnt stay in one spot. The location where she transforms from her troll disguise into a demon is where she will return to until you kill her or she despawns.

I worked out a different strategy than the TKA Something ones, it makes the fight pretty easy and you don't even need Nature Prot potions.

First, freezing trap Simone and kite the pet around the lake with aspect of the cheetah, serpent sting, arcane shot, and normal shots once in a while. When he gets to 15% he'll slow down, at this point drink a mana pot and finish him off with normal shots. It's important that Simone is within aggro range when you kill the pet, or she will reset. So it's ok to dps the last 15% rather slowly. If she hasn't caught up by 5%, use only concussive shot on the pet until she shows up, then finish him. Make sure to switch to aspect of the monkey.

At this point the pet is dead, Simone should be around 5-15 yards away and starting to attack you, and you should have pretty much full HP and mana. From here on I fought her basically the same way you fight the Burning Steppes demon:

Start off with a viper sting and go in to melee for a while. Try to keep a wingclip on her. Keep an eye on viper sting. When it fades, immediately sidestep away from her. When you leave melee range that will trigger her AI to start casting a Chain Lightning. Immediately viper sting her again; that will interrupt the casting and silence her for a while, allowing you to go back in and melee some more. Just like the BS demon, after you get the timing down of running in and out, the fight is a cakewalk and she should never land a single Chain Lightning. Save potion cooldowns for mana. She doesn't hit very hard, only 50 or so a hit. If you do happen to need health, just wingclip, run away, viper sting, and bandage yourself. Also, when you run out to viper sting, use that opportunity to get a few auto shots in. She won't keep the AP debuff on you 100% of the time, and even when it is on, your ranged is only cut in half; they're still free shots.

The trickiest part of this strat is the transition between killing the pet and attacking Simone. To be safe you want her pretty close when the pet dies, but you don't want her pumping you full of lightning. One way you could handle this is: Slow the pet with conc. shot at 5% like normal. Let Simone catch all the way up so she's only 5-10 yards behind her pet. Viper sting her and finish the pet off with melee. The silence from viper sting should give you plenty of time to finish the pet and prepare to fight her.

Buffs:
Priest stamina buff
Mage int buff
Aspect of the monkey
Trueshot aura

If you know she's up, wait by the large tree inbetween the insects and dinosaurs, just west of the southmost point in Un'Goro - she will wander past here.

Clear the area to the west of the 2-3 roaming dinosaurs.

Drink a nature resist potion and let the timer count back (2 mins, as the major health potion is on the same timer) - the buff lasts for an hour

When she walks by the tree, drink your demonslaying elixir, talk to her then back off while she transforms into the demon

Lay a freeze trap at max range, hunter's mark her, then when your mana is full, pull her with an aimed shot, immediately followed by concussive, multishot, vipersting and any autoshots you can get in before she gets to you - her pet with run ahead into the freeze trap.

As soon as she's in range, take her down with all melee force, using scattershot if it's up when you see her start to cast.

When her pet escapes the trap, pop deterrence on to buy you some more killing time. Then use health potion/tuber as soon as you need them.

As soon as she's death, feign death and the pet will run back to it's spawn point - then go loot the head.

Mandokir, Peacemaker, few GS parts, few other purples and some blues.

I tried to melee her couple of times, but it was just a waste of time, since I suck at melee and don't have almost anykind of good melee talents or equipment.

So just did what I always do:
Start with freeze trap, aimed+concussion+viper(silences her)+multishot. After the pet is in the trap, ignore it for now on. Run around kiting Simone, wingclip her when needed, and when she starts casting use scatter or viper. Because you're running around so much and using viper, you shouldn't get the curse or any lightning at all. The pet's hits you can probably easily stand with some major healing potion. She goes down very quick with ranged dps.

Major Healing/Mana, buffs and Aspect of the Monkey are of course useful.

Magic Dust is key for this fight. It is easily farmed off of Dust Devils in Westfall with an epic mount.

Start out at maximum range and set a Freezing Trap. Target Simone and cast Aimed Shot. Then cast Multishot and Concussive shot at Simone. One Simone is just about at minimal shooting distance, quickly shoot Viper Sting, silencing her. Her pet will be trapped in your Freezing Trap. Then start to melee her. Spam Wing Clip, use Raptor Strike and Mongoose Bite when they're up. If she starts to cast, you can try to get into Sting range or alternatively pop Aspect of the Wild or SS her.When her pet breaks out of the trap, use the Magic Dust on it an continue to melee. If her pet breaks before she's dead, pop Deterrence and have your Healing Potion handy.

I killed her at lvl 52....

I put rank one Serpent sting on and kite her all the way to Gadgetzan and the guards help me kill her.

Occasionally Concussive shot on her minion, and Bobs ya uncle, didnt get anything from her though just to see if i could..

Stumbled into her by accident between Galakka Hot Springs and Fire Plume Ridge.

Had the quest so I gave it a shot (without potions-survival spec).

Got killed the first time, next 2 tries I had to feign when she was at 1/3. Note, Simone never despawned - simply ran back to where you first spoke to her.

Going to grab some healing pots and try again.

Maybe a tad bit more difficult but a surefire way to win this fight is to kite her and her pet until her pet dies, then go in and melee + viper sting her down. Here's how I killed her first try:

At the very start of the fight, throw down a freezing trap. Mark the pet and aimed shot it (helps if you get a crit but if you do not don't even bother using FD, just go with it). After aimed shot use multi-shot them concussion on the pet - this will slow it down and give the demon time to hit your trap first. After you concussion shot the pet, run back a bit (so the demon doesn't get too close and put the ranged attack power debuff on you).

Once the demon is frozen turn on aspect of the cheetah and start kiting the pet around. Now would be a good time to use a mana pot if you have one (but it's not required). You shouldn't have problems getting aggro on other mobs while kiting because most the mobs in Un'goro are a lot lower than you. If the demon gets close use scatter shot on her then go right back to kiting her pet - also use concussion shot on her if need be.

If done successfully you should have at or almost at full life and mana when the pet is dead. Throw on either Aspect of the Monkey or Aspect of the wild (shouldn't really matter too much cause she hits pretty weak and you shouldn't be hit by her chain lighting once). Run in and melee her for a few hits, then run out and wait for her to start casting the chain lighting - use viper sting to silence her and stop the cast. Now run back in and melee a bit more. If she starts to cast chain lightning while you're still in melee range, you probably wont have enough time to run out and viper sting her, so use scatter shot, run out, hit her once with regular ranged, then wait for her to cast again and viper sting.

Just repeat that for a min or so and you'll be looting her head in no time! Goodluck!

The standard method - freeze trapping, then magic dusting Simone's pet Precious, then just meleeing Simone - didn't work for me. In PVP blues, I just don't do damage fast enough in melee, and the pet eventually breaks out and gnaws me down faster than I can get Simone down.

Instead, I kited Simone. I made two macros - one "/target Simone" and one "/target Precious" - so that I could switch targets quickly, and concuss or scatter show Precious to keep her from closing while I mostly concentrated on taking Simone down with serpent stings. My kiting path was around the big tree between the dinosaurs and the bugs at the southern end of her path; the area's easy to clear, though a friend is good to head off unexpected respawns.

I started the kite by laying a trap, then aimed/viper/concuss on Simone, and autoshotting until Precious set off the trap. I then strafe kited around the tree, using rank 1 arcane to keep Simone following me each time the cooldown came up, and kept a maximum rank serpent sting on her to do damage.

Once Precious broke out of the trap and started catching up - I could tell by having demon tracking up, as both Simone and Precious are demons - I'd switch to Precious between the arcane shots on Simone, and use scatter shot or concussive shot on Precious if she was in range to slow her down.

I did use one combat mana potion and one major mana potion, and I ran out of mana when Simone was at about 5%, which I managed to finish off as Precious took 50% off me. Two major mana potions and I wouldn't have had any problems (I was trying to conserve money by starting with a combat mana potion). I also used a regular nature protection potion in advance, but I didn't need it; if you keep running away from Simone while kiting, she'll quit casting when you get out of range. I did use aspect of the wild just in case.

Once Simone was down, I feigned to lose Precious, then looted Simone's head. A friend and I finished Precious off, but that's optional.

By the way, the respawn time is supposedly 15 minutes now, but be patient - her route takes her about 40 minutes to cover, so you might have to wait close to an hour to find her.

I'm running about atm with track humans on and she's a bugger to find- either another hunter has been in these parts recently or she's tracked as a demon.

found her eventually roaming round the southern part of the Fire Ridge.

Possibly with help of my gear I managed to solo her and keep her pet frost trapped *loves the fact that now you can trap during combat*

I've only just tried out Survivalist so very rusty, but seemed to manage by using "aspect of the wild" (as I had no nature pot's) then laid frost trap, wyvern stinging her to pull pet over trap, serpant sting her, arcane, concussive, panic :p melee her as she seems to cast some sort of kiss on you making "ranged attack power minus 1500"!
wing clip her, run away freeze trap pet again, keep serpant sting on her, melee, and on near death hit "readiness" (seems to be partially usless end of survival talent) to cooldown raptor strike and hit "berserker" (Troll racial), managed to just about get her down even though my tactics were a bit clumsey :p then feign so pet runs away.

P.S. while looking through last part of combat log, it seems that the chain lightning she casts is the nature damage and her pet causes fire damage, but you'll be fine, just keep him trapped

She is so easy.. you just need to do the right thing.

Dont Bother freezing trap demon and melee here.. the pet will eventually get out and it will be hard.
Just Kite the pet all around the big lake with serpent sting and arcane shot rank1. Easy kill.
Then, after that, Go melee her. Viper sting her + melee + scater shott = easy win.

I beat this guy much diferent then in the TKA vid. I dont have many friends so all demons i had to fight 100% solo. I placed a freeze trap and froze the main demon, and started to kite/kill the pet. I ran around the lake so i wouldnt get any adds as i kited, killed the pet as tho it was the winterspring demon, mostly with serpent sting. Once the pet died i ran straight to the normal demon and proceded to used the TKA strat of melee/nature protection potion. went down easy. GL hunters.

If you see someone fighting this, Or any other lvl 60 demons. If you see a hunter fighting a level 60Elite in: Silithus, Un'goro, Burning Steppes, Winterspring, Then do not at any time help him (Buff him attack the demon).

I tried simone a few times. This is what i found works the best if you have some patience and you don't want to use night dragon's and stuff like that. I did it with a major mana potion and a major health potion (the health pot shouldn't be neccessary. I tried to monkey tank simone at first, which i discovered was a terrible idea, and wild much better) and i had no outside buffs/help whatsoever.

First off, wait for her to get near the lake. You don't need to clear a single mob. Prepare to kite the pet around the lake with no concussive shots. Don't freeze simone herself, or you'll get WAY too far from her when you kill the pet, and she'll just reset. Kite them both together. Set an explosive trap, and start kiting the pet around the lake. Don't touch the water or they'll reset (ther's one part of the lake where there's a tree right at the edge of the lake. Don't cut the short way and set foot in water, go around the tree) Kite with cheetah, serpent sting, and rank 1 arcane shot. You run a good deal faster than the pet with no speed enchants so when you see it getting a little far, you may want to turn around real quick for an auto shot, because that damage will add up and make this fight faster. Pop a major mana pot when the pet is like 15%, and you'll be able to pop a saving healing pot if needed later.

I've heard that viper sting is supposed to silence simone, and i don't know if it interupts her casts, but it definetly had no lasting silence effect. She'll kill your ranged AP by a crapload, but i suppose it's possible to kite simone after kiting the pet in the same fashion, except your autoshots will be weak.

What i did was i popped an arcane shot to not loose aggro, and started meleeing her. Going all out with raptor strikes and such since i had a good deal of mana. Raptor strikes and mongoose bites should not eat all your mana if you popped a major mana pot earlier. Pop aspect of the wild, becaue her spell casts WILL hit you sometimes. when you see her casting, scatter shot her, and if her RAP debuff isn't on you, run and get a multi shot or autoshots. I've tried getting away from her after her casting animation and then viper stinging, but that never worked out. So i suggest just taking the blasts when your scattershot isn't up. They don't do all that much with aspect of the wild on.

Key points where i disagree with TKA strats: If you want to kite the pet, don't freeze simone. And don't bother keeping winclip on her, just use your mana on raptor, mongoose, and scattershots.

got the pet to break combat by sheer luck. had her down to ONE PERCENT LIFE lvl 55 dork ran by shot her she ran. When i started the fight and when i did 2 of the others i announce in all 4 channles and yelled if you see (mob name) PLEASE DONT ATTACK THEM. and i even said it on the LFG channle so its world chat,why do people do it? mob is dead just a few more shots and they have to interfere.

Location: Un'Goro Crater
Spawn: 39, 82ish, on southern border of crater, west of bugs.
Path: She spawns right around the bugs in the south and moves west, then turns North after going around the big tree. This is essentially due south of the camp site (maybe tad west) you had a quest for in ungoro to pickup equipment from (one of 2 sites). She will move North, through this campsite. If your looking at the Un'goro Map, she continues moving north from here and then cuts west once she passes a tree that is NE of the springs, this is around 38,45 ish. She will then move west, north of the springs. I'm unsure where she goes from here.
Consumables: Nature Protection Potion, Demonslaying Elixir, Mana Potion - Healthstone would be a plus (separate CD)
Buffs: Aspect of Cheetah > Aspect of Wild

Strat: This one I would rank as the 3rd hardest and might take a couple tries of getting it down, but once you understand the nuances its not that bad. There are alot of things out there that are inaccurate, so i'd just follow what I'm saying as i've probably tried all of those. So Precious (pet) won't leash if you don't hit him, and Simone won't leash if you don't hit her. You have to deal with them both at the same time. The best way to do this is as follows.. Use your nature protection potion (do this as early as comfortable so when u need next potion its off cd), lay down a freeze trap > Hunters mark pet > drink. You are going to aimed shot Precious > concussive shot > serpents.. and they will both come after you - ideally with Simone leading the charge and getting frozen. You then need to kite the pet in as much of a straight line away from Simone as possible, this is difficult given the number of mobs, and dps Precious down as quickly as you can. Simone should be catching up to you around the time Precious is dieing, for whatever reason she caught up to me when Precious was at 25% and I had to proceed to kite both of them until I killed Precious. I would keep using concussive shot on Simone till Precious died. One other thing that can help with this is if you pause enough for Simone to start casting and then move out of range you can buy some distance that way. Anyways, once the pet is dead, take a deep breathe because the fights basically over. At this point, change Cheetah for aspect of the wild and just melee her till she dies, seriously.. I had 5% mana when she finally caught up to me and I engaged her in melee, and had the same amount of hp % as her when i started and I ended with about 20% more than her at the end. If I had mana I would use it on raptor strike, don't bother trying to get out of range to viper sting, with aspect of the wild is deals very little damage, plus you have the nature protection to help.

I mentioned you start off with the nature protection potion on early so you have your potions off CD during fight. This is a personal preference on what to use and depends on how your fight is going. If you are OOM and still need to kill precious, you should use mana pot. If precious is dead and your engaging with Simone, consider popping another nature protection potion.

Classic respawn does not appear to be the 15min listed in a comment from 1.12. I watched her die at 7:12pm, and as of 7:41pm I have covered her entire path without seeing her. I'll update if I find her in the previously mentioned 2 hour respawn time.

For her walk path, there is a great guide on the Elysium forums including pictures. Just search "Dhralla's Ultimate Leaf Guide." I believe I saw her respawn on the southernmost area of her walk path.

Just did this on my hunter. Wiped twice trying to trap/wingclip & kite pet. Killed her first try no problem when i went for the pet first. She only meele's for about 50 and her chain lighting hits for about 150 with aspect of the wild on. Her pet, however, meeles for 150-200.

Yesterday I did it and got the bow! It was very hard for me because the quest at Ungoro was buggy! After putting an ice trap the demon-pet didn´t stay at the trap point,it came around all the time! So I had to fight against 2 demons, the lady and here pet ! I couldnt use aspect of the cheata! After the 9th try, I changed my tactic.By this situaton, the only thing is to do DMG much as you can against the Lady.At the beginning I thought I couldnt handle and finish the quest against 2 demons,but at the moment the Lady went down, I went down because of the demon-pet, but I got here! I couldnt belive that I finished the fight, but I did it. I hope nobody will have the same bug like me!
Thanks for everybody of my MC-raid-members, which buffed me,gave me flasks and supportet me to try again and again !

Did not find the spawn point, but after 15 mins we found her towards the south end of the route, walking towards the bug area, she in a counterclockwise direction.

Doing this part of the Hunter quest today. leashing was "fixed" recently. So the pet will come after you when the ice trap breaks. I attempted this several times, I would start the pull with Aimed, con, viper. (no multi shot so her pet took no damage), I could get her to the furthest part of the lake, and it would not matter, the pet always caught up. I kited with and with out conc shot on her, nothing mattered .
This fight is a lot tougher than it used to be, But to be honest, The alliance on my server ( Pagle) are huge jurks for the most part, they will go after anything the horde targets, (even had a night elf hunter hit the demon while I was kiting it) and come in force to lock down an area, at least on this fight. {There seemed to be a gentlemans agreement for the other demons, though, even had some alliance hunters show me tricks on them} So unless someone has done this with in the last month, or less, this fight is not the easiest any longer.

Really not sure about the respawn time. I camped the entire route in the morning and did not find 15-20 min to be accurate. Nobody else killing her either (the circle is small enough to verify this). It either varies a lot or it's considerably longer.

Simone and her pet dog take an odd "C" like path. Track Demons will allow her to show up on your mini-map.

She starts just south of the tent that is right above the elite kodos, heads south, then walks along the bottom towards The Slithering Scar. She then heads up along the west of the Scar, crosses the top, and starts walking north.

At this point the path does not take a straight line but from here she will start heading vertically west to the top of Golakka Hot Springs. Once above the largest lake she cuts across (still heading west) around a rather large tree till she is just above the smallest of the three pond shapes on the map. Her path now ends on the slight incline above the smallest pond, where she will now turn around and head the same route in reverse to her spawn point.

It is possible to only kill her and leave her pet.

I started off with a Freezing Trap for her pet (for like the fourth time since it resisted a bunch) and started kiting her around the lake at the start/end of her walk.
As others has stated, the pet now still holds aggro even after Freezing Trap and will come after you. So at that point Simone had about 30% health left.

When I finished her off I started with the pet, but about 20% in I was completely out of mana, flasks on CD and the pet was too close to me to be able to auto attack it, so eventually he reseted. I ran to the corpse of Simone and to my joy I could still loot her head.

Now I'm off to deliver them all and get my precious bow!

I tried this one several times and this is my result:
- I first tried to kill only her, however I did not manage to get too far away from her before she casted Temptress kiss and ended up doing only small dps on her before pet caught up on me
- I tried the other way, killing the pet first and it worked for me
- As many say, place freezing trap and concussive shot Simone, she will get trapped and in the meantime kite pet around the lake
- I used concussive shot, serpent sting and arcane shot (rank 1) on pet
- When pet was down I started to fight with Simone, I tried to melee her, but my melee sucks, so I used the same mechanics for her and eventually killed her
- I had no buffs, no potions, only Mana pots

I managed to get her down by excessive kiting but not too much other silly business just using Serpent Sting, Concussive shot, and Aspect of the Cheetah- kiting both around one of the many very large trees in Un'Goro and killing Simone first.

Essentially I used the big tree to cancel the lightning attack by line of sighting Simone or going out of range to cause cast failure, so I didn't have to use mana on Viper sting and could keep continuous dot damage. As for the range attack power debuff, serpent sting dot damage is not affected by it so its a steady tick down constantly; and besides standing still for a single auto shot at halfway through the dot duration that was pretty much all I did on her.
To keep control of Precious (who runs faster/catches up while simone casts) I just used concussive shot to keep her roughly at the same distance as Simone, and in the event of mistakes like getting dazed via lightning zap or keysmashing the concussive on the wrong target, a quick scatter shot helped get back to decent range.
When Simone is at lower health she slows down a bit so you have to be careful with Precious, but for me it wasn't more than 1 or 2 serpent stings at that point before she died.

Did use some Mana potions and a dark rune for when I ran out of mana, so had some expenses, but only took me 2 pulls/ feign death before I killed her on the 3rd, so wasn't a massive financial dig.

Made sure to kill Precious after looting the head- popped out the pet and kited it down so as not to leave an elite demon hanging about that might cause trouble for people questing.

I'm sure others have mentioned similar methods before, but I thought I'd throw my comments in here since it means you can do your fight in more places around Un'goro rather than walking about with her until she gets to the lake for kiting. I'm not especially geared besides gear from dungeons, and also I am a little clumsy on my keyboard so thought I'd mention for the sake of any other clumsy hunters out there who struggle with keeping things precise a bit of an alternate method!

(The tree I used was just south of fire plume ridge, where not many aggressive mobs spawned around the particular tree so had a clean route to take)

Has anyone done this since TBC Classic launched? I killed Simone this morning and she despawned very quickly after I killed her and wasn't able to loot her head. I killed Klinfran in Burning yesterday and didn't have any issues with killing or looting him.

This fight is an absolute joke in SoD if you play melee survival. Run trap launcher/Resourcefulness instead of Wyvern Strike, then Freezing Trap Precious on CD to keep her permanently and safely locked down. Run out of range of Simone to Viper Sting her Chain Lightning, then continue beating the snot out of her with your melee weapon.
