This guy is tough. You need to clear out the trolls around him as best you can, but be prepared: the respawn rates are high. On one of my many attempts, I got the area cleared to just Mogh and his minion and then the respawns started right in the middle of the battle.

There are two normal trolls standing next to him. One will walk some distance away, so wait and take him out when he is away. For the other (I'm a hunter) I tried a split pull to separate him from Mogh. It worked. If you can get it down to Mogh and his minion, you might be able to kill him solo. Be warned: both the minion and Mogh can heal each other. When solo, it's probably best to take down the minion first. If you have a pet, let it tank them both but concentrate both yours and your pet's damage on the minion. After he's gone, you should have no problem taking out Mogh. I used my Viper Sting on both him and his minion to drain as much of their mana away as possible. It's important to try to keep them from healing, but you probably won't be able to do it. Tough, tough fight.

Fairly easy with 45 warlock (Affliction/Destruction) and 41 priest. Clear out the potential adds and don't wait because they do respawn in under 2 min. Sic the felhunter on Mogh to suppress his magic. Apply Curse of Elements and just burn them down, focusing on the minion first. Watch out for when they turn and run for help. Curse of Recklessness at that point avoids unnecessary adds.

It was actually very easy for me... with a lvl 45 rouge, a lvl 44 warrior, and myself, a lvl 45 shaman. just pull all the trolls on the side, then have rouge sap the healer, and have the warrior take the elite and the rouge take the human slave, while i healed. was real easy..

Soloed as a 46 Rogue.

Kill all the mobs that you can without aggroing Mogh, his minion, or the troll with them. Next, Sap Mogh, kill the troll, and kill Mogh's minion. By then sap will have probably broken. Blind Mogh, bandage yourself, and kill him. Use kick to silence his shadowbolt whenever you can and dont forget to use evasion.

Just soloed as a 44 feral druid after dying to respawns about 3 times, best way to do it is to kill his minion first and then interrupt his casting as much as possible, he eventually wore out his mana on me, and then he was really easy to finish off.

A tough fight, but soloable with the right class.

Solo'd as a lv 45 stunlock daggers rogue.

Single-pull and clear all of the trolls around him (You might have to kill two at once at some point) - and SAVE your vanish. I was able to get it down to Mogh, his minion and a shaman right next to him that didn't walk away. I sapped Mogh, killed his minion then the shaman and vanished. It is IMPERATIVE that you sap Mogh again immediately after vanishing, because he will immediately re-summon his minion once sap wears off, and it's only a 1.5 second cast at the longest.

After killing the minion and the shaman, it was just me and Mogh. One Blood Lust, superior healing potion and lots of stunlock later, Mogh was down. Make sure you interrupt as many of his shadowbolts as you can. Gouge and Kidney Shot work great, because these can be set up to work in a back stab as well, but it's alright to sacrifice your energy for a kick.

Soloed as a 47 shadow priest. As others have said, clear out the area around him as well as the trolls to the south along (and past) the wall. You should be left with Mogh, his minion, and two mobs. One will walk away, and that's your time to strike. I stood on top of the wall, which makes it easy to break line of sight and run away.

First time through, attack the other troll standing next to Mogh. Make sure you have your shield up so that you can take some hits while you're doing this. When he's dead, run south along the wall until you drop combat. (You did clear the area, right?)

Next time, take out the minion first, and make sure to interrupt any of his heals. When he's dead, focus on Mogh, who is pretty straightforward without his adds. Note that you must kill the minion first, because he heals, and you must take out Mogh and the minion together--if you kill the minion and drop combat, Mogh will resummon him immediately.

Killed Mogh easily as a level 45 feral druid- cleared the area around him until it was just him, his minion, and another troll. Regrowth + rejuved myself, went bear, charged his minion. Killed the minion, then the troll, bashed Mogh, shifted out and healed, then shifted to cat and finished Mogh off.

Solod with a 44 enhance shaman (DW). Waited for the melee troll to walk away, cleared the mobs around him, burned down his troll add with lightning, then his human add (has heals). Absorb his shadow bolt with grounding totem whenever you can (deals about 250 damage). After that, just mowed him down with melee. Had to pop a Greater Mana Potion.

Definitely the hardest of the three for the quest.

the coordinates are correct, and he is a tough fight.. he is surrounded by other trolls, and his human minion.. the minion heals him and fights, and the trolls will pitch in as well..try and get rid of their mana.. both Mogh and the minion

Fantastic! I went in as a paladin. Attacked mogh for the try of it and failed. He was healed to well.
Went back and took out the minion, then 2 mobs and then were able to kill mogh in the same setting.
Didnt think i would be able to kill mogh after the 2 mobs, but it went fantastic. He's a a little ragdoll without his friends.
Its clear. Take out the minion first !!!

Killing him as a 44 fire mage was not very difficult. Clear the area, wind up a pyroblast on his minion and then target Mogh for a sheep. I spammed scorch on the minion until it was dead then I used combusion and proceeded to pyro then fireball Mogh until he died. Even with my tiny 1300 health pool his shadowbolts did not take my health down enough to worry about before he died. Hope this helps any mages.

I just got him as a lv 45 hunter...he was a pain and no matter how careful you think you are you aggro everything around. kill him last and try to survive until then.

I did this yesterday as a lvl 46 Destro Lock, which happens to be my first char.

I went for him instead of the adds, cleared up only what seemed necessary, got it down to him, his minion and the Troll next to them (and some random trolls that are generally unlikely to aggro). I then sent my VoidWalker straight at Mogh, waited a second or two for it to gain some aggro then I started pounding, Curse of Agony, Corruption, Immolate and Shadow Bolts. I kept at it until my Void was almost dead, that's when I Sacrificed him. I also used one Major Healing Potion and one Healthstone, and bam he died, I beat the minion's healing with my insane DPS lol, then I ran like a maniac, until I lost aggro, resummoned my Void, drank up, killed the adds this time and looted all and lived happily ever after. :P

Very easy with a Ret Paladin post 3.0. Repentance Mogh, kill his minion and then the caster add. Flash of Light to full health and Mogh is easy to kill solo.

killed this dude today on my boomkin druid lvl 43 :)

easy as cake, i started by clearin all i could around him, mana up, threw a rejuvenation, and started the fight.

First i rooted one of the adds, nuked down the second one, then i finished the rooted one.threw back rejuvenation and regrowth, one healin touch. Then i nuked down the minion and kept rejuv on. By the time i did that mogh was out of mana, and so was i, so i poped inervate and pulled him back on the little hills near the south west corner. once i had all my mana, rooted him, healed myself, and nuked him down, piece of cake. Im green geared with some blues.

Note : in this i used Lifeblood (from herbalism) a potion could replace this

(moonkin form was only used in the beggining of the fight as i removed it to be able to heal)

Priests: Wait until there are only 2 ads. You can pull the add that is the closest to you without pulling aggro on the rest.

MC the elite, kill his slave with the drain while bolting the remaining add, then finish of the elite, he doesnt hit really hard with a Shadow protection.

If you are going solo, and you die after taking his pet out, don't think you can run back, rez and kill him. It seems that he knows when you rez and waits until then to rez his pet - with full hp and mana. I tried this 6 times on my 49 fury warrior with the same result.

I can also confirm that the surrounding mobs have an amazingly fast respawn time - if you need to buy some time in a group, wait until you kill Mogh and loot him, before you loot the surrounding mobs - they take a little longer to respawn, which might give you that extra second or two to finish the fight.

If you come in from the back - I found this a lot easier, as you can avoid most of the mobs that way, take out the one solo mob to Mogh's left, the three up front ( have your warrior taunt out the headhunters, as the spellcasters won't chase you) and one in the back corner. Unless they run in Mogh's direction, you shouldn't have any trouble. Then all you have left is Mogh, his pet, and the last mob.

I strongly suggest you take a friend or two with you. This is actually one of the few quests I've found that when they say group, they MEAN group.

I've only tried this one on my warrior, so I have no opinion or advice on any other class. Good luck!

Mogh is not immune to sheeping. Makes it very easy to take out the minion first and then focus on Mogh.

i would just like to point out that this npc has cleared an entire naxx10 within one lockout period without any member of the raid dying.

Soloed as a 42 rogue. Cleared out the guys I could ranged pull with a bow, then sapped Mogh (yes, he can be sapped!) blinded his buddy and took out the caster add next to him. Mogh will rez his little buddy, so I dropped aggro and waited for him to reset. Sapped Mogh again, killed his pet while interrupting his very annoying heals, and went to work on Mogh. I popped a Tea, a Superior Health potion, and probably Lifebloom since my gouge missed, but I managed to kill him in the end... only to find out that he wasn't the quest guy I was looking for.

Respawns of the trolls around him are VERY quick; I often found myself getting eaten by a newly popped one as I sat down to eat in preparation for Mogh.

During my exploration of Stranglethorn doing the very annoying quest http://www3.www.wowhead.com/wotlk/quest=586 i found this dude just standing around, thinking "Meh, just another elite" having previously with no problems what so ever soling both
http://www3.www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=3880 and http://www3.www.wowhead.com/wotlk/quest=614 i charged in with half health and got my ass handed to me on a silver platen, this elite is very hard.

His shadow bolt hits for quite a large chunk of health and he was with no problems able to kill of my voidwalker, he comes with two adds that stands next to him, where of one walks towards the "door" in the wall closely (Please note there is a mob close to that door that might aggro if you are careless) killing this mob first will probably help you a lot.

Now, killing of his friend and then dying might also help you out, however do this fast in that case, since the trolls respawn at a very fast rate. Aside from that he is capable of draining a large chunk of health from his mindslave , and the mindslave itself is capable of healing.

While killing him, attempting to kill of his mindslave first might be suggested , also if your capable removing the mana of Mogh will make this fight incredible easy, as his white damage is quite low. Also its notable that mogh isent immune to stuns, snares and CC's.

He drops nothing of interest but is the objective The Star, the Hand and the Heart.

In conclusion , bring a mate and it will be a lot easier.

this guy is hard to kill. I'm a 47 hunter and he killed me twice before I was finally able to get him. He summons this human that will heal him continually the only reason I beat him was because I got him after he had just spawned and hadn't summoned that guy best of luck to you with this beast.

Yup; hes hard. Or rather, the fact that hes surrounded by 87 of his mates who run for help when theyre wounded and re-spawn faster than I can kill them makes him hard. This quest is green elite for me at 47 but its gonna take a party...

He was hard but by changing my strategy a bit I managed to solo him at 48. The trick was to sap the human healer, blind the mage/thrower (sometimes there was a mage other times a thrower guy) and start working on Mogh himself. Using kick/sinister/eviscerate did the trick.

just solo'd him as a lvl 45 paladin. the trick is to clear out the room first, you can get it down to just three enemies. you'll end up with mogh, his slave and either a headhunter (ranged and nets) or spiritchaser (lightening and shadow spells). Kill the two non-elites first, and stun mogh with hammer of justice, there is another caster apart from him take them down first because the casters hit very hard with over 200 per spell. Take down his slave next, and finally mogh. Use divine shield and take that chance to bandage yourself, also make sure if you have divine favour that you've let the cooldown for it expire so you can use it before you fight them.

I see a different Elite troll Witchdoctor in the exact area everybody seems to be talking about ... a new patch came out just a day or two ago, and I'm wondering if maybe Blizzard decided to switch a few things up?

I haven't seen another elite witchdoctor in the area, but Ana'thek the Cruel <Skullsplitter Chief> hangs out in a cave amongst the Zul'Mamwe ruins. Maybe that's who you saw? He drops Broken Armor of Ana'thek for the Speaking with Gan'zulah quest. Mogh the Undying <Skullsplitter Clan Witchdoctor> can still be found at the 48,44 coords. He is to the east of the cave, on a rise behind some walled ruins.

The map here on Thottbot isn't very helpful. Mogh the Undying is standing east of the cave, near the mountains. If you're standing outside the cave, just go in a straight line east and you should see him surrounded by 2-3 other mobs at a campfire.

Solo'd as a 47 shadow priest.

Clear the area (quickly) except for mogh, his healing humanoid minion, and the random third guy (headhunter/spiritchaser) who is too close to pull.

Mind control the random third guy and attack the minion. Your mind control victim will likely die before the minion but should do 50% damage to the minion. Then simply shield up, hit the minion hard. Throw a fear on mogh (you did clear the area right?) if you must when your shield falls. Heads-up mogh goes down pretty easily w/o even needing a potion.

I could see a lower level priest doing this successfully.

He's pretty difficult, but you just have to take your precautions. First, kill the first two mobs in front of him (they're lvl 44). Then sheep Mogh, and kill the mob that stands next to him. Then run away. Come back, and sheep his minion, so now you only have to fight Mogh himself. If you time your Counterspell correctly and use Ice Barrier + Mana Shield + Mana Citrine, he shouldnt be too tough. I killed him with +50% hp left.

I have a 44 priest and I solo'ed him easily...

The trick is to get on top of the wall around him, and go to the east side. There are 3 trolls in the area that you should kill, then you have a clear shot to mogh, his minion and 1 more add. Then you can just mind control Mogh. He has a soul drain that takes 750hp from his minon. Cast that 3-4 times and his minion dies, then you can use his shadowbolt on the add, killing it easily. Mogh should then have about 3/4 of his life... break MC and he's easy.

Wasted him at 41... Warrior/Pally duo.

Just make sure to come up over the non walled (south) side of his area and pull the zerkers and mystics and hunters one at a time until there is nothing near Mogh (cept minion and 1 zerker)

Soloed as 51 Warrior.

Cleared all ads, charged the minion, Intimidating Shout. Minion died about the same time the others came out of fear. Used Retaliation to kill the troll quickly, then intercept on Mogh. While he was stunned, I bandaged, and when he came out of stun I drank a pot. From there it was just beating him down making sure to interrupt his spells.

Probably possible to solo as lower level warrior. I barely pulled it off, but this is my first WoW char, so I'm not twinked.

Solod as a 45 druid. All you need is 2 mana pots. Entangle the bezerker, or his minion. Kill the other one, mana pot barkskin heal, regrowth + rejuv, into bear form, beat down the other add, then come back out, heal go back in and finish of mogh.

I managed to solo this troll mage with a bit of difficulty, but damn was it fun. (45 Night Elf Rogue)

It was made challenging by the fact that he's surrounded by his fellow troll, but a routine sweep of the area and the trolls were down. It seemed that one particular troll was linked to Mogh's party, so I broke the chain with a Sap, took out the farthest troll, and promptly fled a la Sprint. Stealthing to the site again revealed a few respawns, but they were handily dismantled.

One troll, Mogh, and his minion remained. I delivered a sap to Mogh and decided to take out his troll friend. The minion remained and tried his best to heal his troll buddy, but by alternating kick and gouge I assured no casts were made. Poof I vanished.

I restored my Vanish and Sprint with Preparation and proceded to go to town on Mogh and minion. Sapped Mogh again, delivered a crushing Ambush to minion, and finished him with a few more hits. Now Mogh, being a caster, easily succumbed to my well timed kicks and gouges, rendering him absolutely harmless. Before his body even hit the floor I was already in stealth... heart in hand.

I and a m8 killed him tonight.
lvl 40 rogue (m8) and me lvl 44 mage. killing the mobs near him wasnt hard and after that we just sapped and sheep his adds. although I had to use a healing potion I would say that it was a success.

45 Mage and I needed help with this one... mages only have one true disable and can't handle having either a healer or ranged DPS there with him, so it was hard indeed. Stood on the wall and sheeped the minion, counterspell on Mogh, who ran up. Pulled him out of zerker range so it was 1v1 without killing adds, but still died 1v1 since by that time I was on half health. Close match. Then a 59 warrior from the guild popped by and we wiped him clean in 20 seconds.

I did this tonight, finally got around to it. Didnt see any hunters right around him, was mainly the warriors. lvl 51 warrior, I rushed in, took out his human healer and then killed him. I dont know if he either doesnt summon another healer or not anymore, but he didnt this time. Coords are correct though.

Just soloed as a 44 shammie. Went up and around, he was next to his 44 mindslave and a 44 beserker. Took out the beserker while Mogh and the Mindslave were on me. Killed the beserker, got killed, then reincarnated. Rehealed, nuked the mindslave and killed Mogh. Mogh went down pretty ez with earth shock interrupt. Too bad shammies don't have a shadow resist totem...at least not at 44. Tough battle overall, but don't see why ppl are having too much trouble at 47-48, you should be resisting a few of his shadowbolts.

For priests, mind control is your best friend. You can clear the third mob next to mogh by MC and letting mogh kill it, then run away out of combat.

Mogh can be mind controlled (his minion can't); MC mogh and kill the minion. Then burn his mana with his instant cast demon armor until he has none left.

Now kill a nerfed Mogh. He has a life drain spell that will heal him, so save your silence until he tries to cast it.

Soloed at 43, was left on 40% health.

It was easy with mind control, but make sure you pick off both guys along the back wall, the one in the corner and the one opposite him near the gong, preferrably before you drop down

had him to a sliver of health before him with 2 berserkers got me. 43 rogue, sapped him and killed his minion and a berserker. vanish. sap him again and kill his minion again. go to work on him, if he didn't have 77 guys in the area it would be cake. he's a pushover if you time your stuns to when he's casting. that said, i didn't get him.

so the first time i killed him i was a 46 warrior and i had no idea he was a quest. so when i got the quest at 48, he was a piece of cake. make sure u take out his little minion as son as possible cause he will heal mogh. after that just unleash all hell on mogh. he didn't summon another minion to help him, but overall he is a $%^&* cause u have him and his minion and then u have another one stands with him. another troll walks right next to him and then will walk away. make sure u take out all the surronding trolls in the area and then go after mogh

Soloed as a 44 mage, no problem. Cleared the area first, killed the two &*!@#$%s by him, ran off and let him tether, then ran back. Opened with pyro on the mindslave, poly'd Mogh immediately after, finished the mindslave, then simply nuked Mogh down. Just make sure you kill the mindslave before Mogh gets down to around 30-40%, otherwise he'll heal himself bigtime.

soloed at 42 as a BM hunter. Send pet on the healer minion with besteal wrath, goes down fast, then put him on mogh, intmidation, rapid fire, keep up the arcane shots and multi shots, viper/serpent sting if you want, ignore the other add, keep a freeze trap near you just in case one of the adds comes on you, just keep beating down on mogh. My pet died when he was at 3%, finished him off meleeing, then FD to get adds off and loot ftw :P now off to dustwallow for some murlocs...

47 night elf hunter. He's not in a cave, he's among some ruins. A good way to kill him is to sneak on to the wall behind him, and if you have one, send a pet/demon down to attack him and his cronies. The cronies will take a while to come up along the wall after you, so you just plug away at Mogh with ranged weapon/spell. Then, when the cronies are right on you, jump down and cut Mogh down in melee and get the quest item. Hopefully you'll've attracted enough attention that most of the area will be free to run through and they'll all be coming back down from the wall, hot on your heels..
Did it on my first try; my pet didn't die either. Indiana Jones styleeeee!

Solo'ed as a lvl 42 Fire Mage. Stood behind him on the wall and killed one of the lvl 44 mobs he's with. Counterspelled Mogh so they had to run around to me, then nuked the other add he had with him, sheeped Mogh, evocation+bandaged, then just melted his face. Not all that hard to do, just gotta use as many cheap tricks as possible.

Holy cow the new patch made this easy!

K, normally this guy is the hardest of the 3 elites you'll face because he's got actual minions instead of just add-danger.

However, since the patch has nerfed most elites (excluding boss-types) down to normal, his minions are now no problem.

I MC'd him and made him kill his mind slave... lol. She just took it too, no protection. First time MC's been good for anything but CC, even if I don't get the credit!

(though killed adds 1 by 1 she left with his minion, killed minion run away, she always summons it if u kill it after you run away so failed to kill too much hp to destroy with my 2.3k mana even i drink pot...)

Heres how i did it.

clear the mobs along the southern wall.

Stand on top of the eastern wall just behind him.
Sheep Mogh.

The two beserkers will come running along with the minion, but since they have to run that long to get to you, the minion will turn back, and you can take out the two beserkers.

you might have to resheep mogh.

Take out the minion.

Now all thats left is Mogh

Soloed as a 43 hunter. Mogh casts high damage shadow bolts and you can't kill him while his healers live (his minion and a troll caster). CC Mogh and take out the those two first, then take out any others, then Mogh himself. It was difficult; died once.

It may have been my bad luck but the mobs around him seem to respawn quickly, so be warned.

Solo'ed him on my 3rd try.
The first time i concentrated on him.. and died.

The second time.. I killed the berserker first, then concentrated on him, but his minion healed him.

The third time: Killed the berserker first, then i ran until i got out of his aggro range. I went back, killed him minion, then he was a piece of cake.

solo'd this at level 45.... obviously i died though.

I concentrated on Mogh looted the body and died 2 secs later. used a potion and last stand. 4 adds with him.

trolls around him are lvl 43-44, and since they are shadowcasters, they do high damage.
Better prepare youself good, or take some friends

I'm a mage which has lots of trouble solo'ing due to gear and spec. Great for groups, but alone it's a struggle. At level 53 I finally got around to killing this guy, and it took me 3 tries. The 2nd try some weird bug made me pull him before I could clear around his location. So i got a patrol and the normal 2 adds and they tore me to shreds.

Sheep him first. Works fine, no big IMMUNE words pop out. Kill his minion because its a healer. Kill the guy chucking spears because that's annoying. Then take him out. Save your counterspell for when you might need some first aid.

Not too hard if you can swing the DPS.

As a 46 healing paladin I would recommend that you not try to solo this below 50, and if you do, expect to die a lot. Save Mogh for last - the good old "I'll kill the boss, die, and corpse run back to finish the quest" will not work here. Read the other posts - this is a tough fight solo. Better yet, bring a friend. This isn't Morrowwind, after all... there ARE other people in the game.

48 shadow priest here, had no problems killing him.

First, the loc on the map on this page is spot on.

Basically clear the mobs in the room before (to get to him), and the 2 just inside the entry way.

Then MC'd Mogh, and started to spam nuke the troll guard. Mogh has a nifty ability that you can use, does 750 damage to his Kurzen mind slave, and heals Mogh. I used that, to wipe out the slave in 2 shots, and continued to kill the troll guard. Once they were both dead, I walked Mogh back toward me (by the big tree, left of the entrance), and dropped MC. PW:S, VC and spammed mana drain until he was out of mana. Just a few more mind flays and he was toast.

Anyone else had trouble getting the quest heart to drop, I just killed him at least 10 times or so, no drop=(

I'm begining to think it's bugged!

Okay, no-one has mentioned the best way of killing Mogh as a rogue...so here goes.

If you're doing it solo...make sure you're at level 46 at least. I really wouldn't bother at any lower level.

An important talent to have here is Preparation.
There are roughly about 7 minions roundabout Mogh, including the human healer. Take out the hunters/warriors and mages around him with combinations of Sap and Ambush, apart from the 2 closest to him (the human and the warrior). Also make sure you applied Crippling Poison to your weapons so that they don't flee and pull the other minions...or make sure you finish off the minions with a finish move such as Eviscerate when their health is very low. Do NOT attack the mage to Mogh's left with melee weapons, that will pull Mogh, and his minions around him. Instead, attack the mage with a ranged weapon and back off after the first shot so that he comes to you.

The best thing to do is kill the minions as described above in quick succession so that you don't suddenly have respawns coming in on you while you're fighting Mogh himself. Have a few food rations and health potions with you. You probably won't need the potion till you fight Mogh himself.

Once you're left with only Mogh and the two minions as described in the 3rd paragraph, Sap Mogh, then as quickly as possible take out the healer and then the warrior. After that immediately use Vanish. If you've been quick enough, you should only be left with Mogh himself. If you weren't then it might be a good idea to make use of your Evasion and Preparation abilities. If Mogh tries to summon his healer minion, simply interrupt the spell with a Kick.

I think this is pretty straightforward...a rogue at this stage of the game should know what works for them and act accordingly! :]

PS:Mine is a level 46 Subtlety Rogue.

..kill them first, or Mogh is next to invicible. Did it with 44 hunter and 44 lock (me), and we wiped. I suggest getting a healer for yourself, so you got a three-man group just to be safe. Also, his minion is not like one of those imp minions, he's a regular lvl 44 non-elite, like the other 42-44 adds. Mogh is 44 elite. Tough fight.

as a level 51 rogue who forgot about this quest and did it solo .. i sapped Mogh and then killed his mindslave (the healer), then the berserker and the Mogh.

Mogh is found at the back of the camp of trolls. Tons of trolls in the camp, but I think they were all 39-41 non-elites. I did this at level 49, so I was able to solo it. At that level disparity, the mobs guarding the camp don't aggro as easily; I was able to run past on my mount without aggroing any of them. I entered the camp from the north side, headed south for a ways and then headed east when I saw a slope.

Mogh is at the top of that hill by a campfire and surrounded by walls on 3 sides. He's the one wearing the witchdoctor mask.

A few ranged and melee trolls on the perimeter of the campfire, but I was able to pull all of them without aggroing the rest. (Helps that I'm a mage; I'm not sure this strategy would work if you can't pull at a distance.)

There is a caster troll that hangs out to Mogh's right (your left), but he occasionally walks away from gets up and moves. You can pull him without pulling Mogh, but the timing is important. The caster will walk from the campfire to the west wall. On the other side of that wall is another group of trolls. If you aggro the caster when he's right next to the wall, you risk aggroing 1-2 adds on the other side of the wall. (Which I did, so I killed two and retreated till I broke aggro on the third. Next time I caught him midway between wall and campfire and aggroed only him.)

However, there is a troll mob and a human minion that stood too close to Mogh for me to pull separately. I sheeped the troll, ignored the minion, and took out Mogh. I then ignored the two non-elites, looted Mogh, and ran down the hill till I broke aggro. Simple.

If you're not 4-5 levels higher, then you should probably bring a partner.

Pops in location X:47. Y:44. Took him second try with 44 warr and 44 priest. Have priest mana drain the named with the warr maintains agro.

sneak trough the camp and manage to get up on a wall.. walk behind him and spamm him to death.. Works well with locks and mages .. hunters even. While your spamming him kurzen slave rusn up together with the melee add whiel the witchdoc fires spells at you together with the magic add.. once the witchdoc dies, jump down and attack the kurzen, then fear, run blink, feint death your way out

I did that solo as undead lvl 43 mage, but i got little luck. Some ally players kill him few minutes before, so first spawn caster who stand near Mogh and i kill him. Next spawn Mogh with his human slave, i sheep slave 2x and beat the Mogh.

Playing on Classic. Just soloed this guy as a level 44 Enhancement Shaman, but it took EVERYTHING I had.

There are two regular trolls near him, in addition to his Mindslave pet. The pet will automatically be resummoned if you kill him and leave combat, so don't bother.

Be patient, and one of the trolls will eventually patrol away. Grab him when he does this and take him down.

Next, I had to charge in and kill the other troll as fast as possible, and then I took off running to leave combat and reset.

After that, it's just Mogh and the Mindslave. The Mindslave can heal Mogh, and has about 1,500 health, so burn him down with everything you have. Mogh's shadowbolts hit me for 350 a piece, so be prepared to heal, potion, bandage etc, once the Mindslave goes down.

Or you could just find some friends ;)

Very hard in P2 SoD, even as bm hunter.

After removing all of the trash you have to permafrost the troll add, mana drain kurzen helper or stun him when he tries to heal. Focus kurzen helper down and then doing Mogh while frosting the other troll. and heal your pet all the time. If one troll respawns (they respawn fast) or a frost trap fails you are dead.
