Andrea: Hey guys, this is Andrea. I'm here with the beautiful and wonderful Maryann Strossner! Look at that smile, guys, I wish you could be here with me. I met with Maryann today so I could give her her second lesson on Twitter. She's doing a great job and the coffee shop is right around from a park, so we decided to stop by this park with a pond. Next to us, there are turtles, which is lovely, and I asked Maryann if she might wanna record a message and say hi! Might be easier than doing all the tweeting, so guys, this is our beautiful Maryann Strossner.
Maryann: Hi guys. It's a pleasure to see you, I mean, literally, granted, you know, on Twitter. But, I just want to let you know that I so appreciate all the messages I've been getting. I really enjoy being with you, and I look forward to being your grandma for a whole long time!
I thought you might want to know how I met Andrea. A long time ago, I was in her class. I had done a small part in another game, and when they announced Andrea is going to have a game, well, class, I thought "Okay, I'll go!". Well, would you believe we each had to write, well, not write, read to each other a section. Guys, would you believe she had me read a cockroach? A big, giant cockroach! And I thought, "Okay, a cockroach?", And she said fine, and all that. And seeing as how I'm scared to death of cockroaches, I was very happy that I got through it, but I thought, "This is not going to lead to anything". And sure enough, here I am! And getting to know all of you and it's been a pleasure and I look forward to talking to you lots more.
Andrea: And ma'am, what's a piece of advice you'd give to people who want to get into voiceovers? Because I think you've inspired so many people. So, what would you say to anybody who's thinking about getting into it?
Maryann: Listen, if you're thinking about it, try it, find a teacher that you feel comfortable with, and study, and don't give up. Even when everything is going bad, it's going to turn around. You may not think so, but it really does. Look at me!
Andrea: Great example. And what about words of wisdom for life? What is your secret to you looking so beautiful and powerful at your age? What do you think has gotten you through life?
Maryann: Well, I'll tell you! I've had bad days too, and sometimes I feel like, "AAAAHHH!", but you know, it's all going to be over at one point! And you will learn so much from the yuck that you have to go through, you learn, and you will come out of the other side much better than you were, really. You might not think so, but it's true. Take it from me.
