The name is a reference to Jose Cuervo Gold Tequila, a real life alcohol. The 'worm' is an addition to the beverage in Mexico.

For those that haven't seen such things.. They put the 'worm' in the bottle and let it sit, absorbing alcohol. So when someone eats the worm it's like doing a couple shots. And come on, who wouldn't high five the stumbling drunk dude who eats the worm?

Yes, it's a reference to mezcal. Wasn't sure of the actual name, so I didn't catch the "Cuergo" part. ^-^ Anyway, yeah, in mezcal they put a little larve in there that's found in the type of aloe they use. If you get to the worm (larve), it's supposed to make naked virgins appear or something... But the point is, when you actually get to the larve, your pretty drunk.

(For those of you that don't understand, the larve is at the bottom of the bottle.) ^-^

that requests Cuergo's Gold with Worm. Alas when I did the treasure map quest, I just got Cuergo's gold. No worm. I wonder if something interesting happens if you grant the birds request, or if it is just flavor text.

like tears of elune in terms of "should I use this or should I save it if it becomes really important?" this is something you should hold on to and not drink in case they ever decide to implement something special involving it, though as it would seem it is purely flavor for Role-Play purposes it would seem.

Do you see the 'Unique' thing? Besides, it's a quest reward. One time. Unless it's possible to repeat the cuergo's treasure quest. He probly just has loads of Darkmoon Reserve, which is more potent.

Cuergo's Gold with Worm, Dark Dwarven Lager and Darkmoon Special Reserve are the only three with an "Inebriate" value of 50.

Yes, it's not a BoP item. niether is the chest itself. so you could auction the whole thing off. I doubt you could repeat the quest however. When you get a drop quest and do it, the next time it drops, if you try to take it's quest again, it says 'you don't meet the requirements for this quest'. So you could AH it, but only once. So it's not imposile for someone to drink one each time he logs in, it's just that he would have to go buy one each time. or not log in very often =)

If anybody got cuergo's gold with worm, would you please take it to the cave at the middle and up part of burning steppes (where the Horde has the flying point)?

There, wait for a while, you would hear a parrot saying it needs some cuergo's gold and some worms, would you please try your best to meet its needs to see what happened? OK？

I didn't got the cuergo's gold with worm, so personally, I couldn't do it.

In response to the above post, note that all 5 pirates do not carry the key to the chest, I had the additional map fragments to redo the quest and I only got 2 keys for 5 pirates, so I got the chest twice(and I did get Cuergo's Gold With the Worm for the second try)

Well I flew to BS with my trusty bottle of Cuergo's Gold With Worm...I stood next to the parrot until it made its request...and I could do nothing.

I tried clicking on the bird, I tried dropping the bottle onto the bird, I even tried drinking the bottle next to the bird and nothing.

Anyone else had any luck?

HOLD IT EVERONE THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT: Cuergo's Gold with worm is not to drink its to turn into a bird in burning steps so save it!

But im not so sure on HOW to turn it in.....

The birds name is Opus, and i also read a comment that if you have the Guergo's Gold with Worm in your backpack and stand next to brid he will start saying other things that could lead to other treasures. Can anyone confirm this or tell us what the bird says then?

Lvl 45 Gnome Warlock with Cuergo gold & worm. Some minutes between each comment and are likely random. Opus has said:

And then I got tired of alt-tabbing back. Nothing I could do would register me having the brew. I didn't drink it though. Kibler was no help either. My rep was friendly with booty bay.

I just got this out of Cuergo's Treasuere Chest, I'm going to keep it until I go to the Burning Steppes so I can give it to that parrot...

Ok.. i managed to get cuergo's gold with worm, and i went to Opus in the Burning Steppes, and he says he needs it (as kardrek said). However when he says it, it just appears as little text in your chat log (ie, you cannot click him). After he says he needs it, he also says that you should go to Kibler to ask about treasure. ... So i go to kibbler, and all he has are options for some quests to capture animals in BRS. There is nothing about cuergo's gold with worm. Can someone please tell me what to do?

I'd try doing all of Kibbler's quests, which ironically happen to be pet quests. I think once you get Cuergo's Gold with Worm and these quests out of the way, you can feed it to Opus. Then opus becomes a dead parrot pet. I could be wrong but this is just my hypothesis.
