These go for absurd prices over here.. about 2 to 3 gold for something low level enchanters need. I'd advise people with little money to seek out a friendly blacksmith to make one for a less exorbitant price. Although the situation on other servers may be better.

go mining and enchanting and mine some stuff for the rod give them to someone from your guild to make it for free and that is i think that this is going to be the cheapest way to get it

just bought the silver rod for 3g 75s in madoran (US) and truesilver was around 9g while one silver bar was 2g so it would save a little bit if you find a blacksmith.

the going price that i saw on Aggramar(US) is 6g though there were several for 1g 33s...i had a buddy in my guild make it for my mage. i hadn't even considered looking on the AH, given that most items that are needed like this one go for outrageous price.

Sorry if this is spam... I've got a Silver Rod for sale and well, I want to make money, but not be greedy (or get ripped off either). Trying to find a happy medium can be hard especially when you see some for sale at 25g ... if anybody is interested I'm on the Nagrand server (NA) under Nenta... let me know to delet this or not.

I sell mine for 50s a piece, the manufacturing cost if I buy mats at ah is about 12s, and of course nothing if i farm the mats myself. I sell my gold rods for 1g a piece. My prices are a tad lower than other guys on AH but I always sell out every night, and I make about 4g a weekday, and 10-20g on weekends just making and selling rods (oh and there are people who try to undercut me, I just buy them out and repost them or save them for later)! Its kinda slow but it is a steady income.

Blacksmith is the only one who can make it, and it's usually better if you have the mats yourself to give to them for crafting it. Try asking for it in Trade channel and it's usually cheaper than AH prices as the BS will be as competitive as possible to make the sale.

Even if it is your mats, ALWAYS REMEMBER TO TIP. It's polite as you are eating up their time when they could either be leveling or grinding for mats that will make them money. It will also ensure that for the next rod you need, there will be someone happy to help you for it.

If they aren't on ah for a reasonable price, get the mats for the rod (they are listed here on thottbot) and ask a blacksmith if he would like to make the rod with your mats.

Yeah, the only ones i can find on Darkspear AH are minimum 10g. I found a near by person using a forge and paid him 2g to make one.

Currently I am selling these for over 7g apiece, so obviously it depends on the market. 7g apiece is making me stinking rich, to be honest.

I'm willing to hypothesize it's because I'm on a Full server so there aren't enough low levels farming the rare but low materials.

from below or above not sure which way this will go,but so far for me...i do enchanting and blacksmithing...in chanting im almost 150 already as compared to Black smithing in which im still around 70 ish.mainly due to the lack of drops and or outrageous prices in ah.huge "pita" to find the drops to.
also, i have come across mobs that are supposed to have these drops and one dont drop them,and two are created thru quests and are mobs strictly to zerg the tank to protect items.by protecting them you finish the quest..yada yada yada.

annny way.dont you need to mem a spell to be able to creat the rod?were does it<the spell> drop from them if not in your class trainer?it appears to be a mystery gang.
