The entrance to Dor'Danil Barrow Den is at 75,76 in Ashenvale.

Once inside there is very little Druids to kill, the book is at 75,74 inside the den, but coords won't help you much there. So go the the most lower west (left) part of the den. Its on the stair case there.

PVP Server: Be carefull since the Alliance has a quest there too for lvl 30 odd chars.

This book gives some indication that the Old Gods may have had some influence on the corruption of the black flight. Maybe we'll learn something about this in Ulduar.

Hm, never thought I'd actually learn some lore on my way to get loremaster.

First two bridge room you come to. To the left of the left bridge, there is a path that heads down. Follow it heading left the entire time. At the bottom of the passageway you should come out and see the book just before another bridge.

I have done a gread deal of research about the Aspects and their titan creators--as much as any human could in a lifetime. There were five Aspects when the titans left this world, they were mighty dragons tasked with protecting the world of Azeroth. Their tales are vast and varied, and even now, in spite of all the information I have gathered, I know that there is much more to be learned of these magnificent creatures.

Much of the knowleged I have now I could not have possibly leanred on my own. Because of this, I am extremely grateful to the night elves. It was only with their help that I have as many details as I do. As a result of our interactions, I am under teh impression that their beginnings are much more closely tied to the Aspects than I had first thought. However, they guard their secrets far too closely for even me to know for certain.

The information I learned of the Aspects I put here for others to reference in the future. i know it will prove useful, as I feel that these dragons will have a much greater effect on our world as time goes on.

Alexstrasza:
Alexstrasza, the ancient and powerful Queen of the Dragons, was named the Life-Binder by the titans. She was first to be created by teh titans to prtect the world after they left. it is isaid that she witnessed the birth of all modern races upon hte face of Axeroth. Her red draonflight, known for their proud demeanor, once ruled over all other dragonkind.

Rumors among the night elves suggest Alexstrasza and the demigod Cenarius were close friends, and that it was he that caller her during teh first invasion of the Burning Legion.

Yesra:
Yesra the Dreamker represents mortal subcounscious. She encompasses the Emerald Dreaming. While she appreciates imagionation and creation and approves of ambition in the mortal races, her and her dragonflight consider the real world to be just an illusion. Ysera is one of the most graceful and powerful creatures and mortal could lay eyes on.

Malygos:
Malygos is known as the Steward of Magic or the Spell-Weaver. His natural form is not that of a typical dragon, and it is said he can change it at will. Rarely seen after his retreat to the far north, he is almost always in the form of an insect-like creature, but while in dragon form he and his dragonflight are varying blues in color.

Nozdormu:
Nozdormu is known as the Master of Time and the Timeless. he and his dragonflight are bronze in color and display great cunning in all things. Nozdormu's attention has always been focused on collecting artifacts of the past, as he cares little for the current matters of the mortal races, or even his fellow aspects dealings. His indifference towards the politics of others does not mean he is complacent towards events that transpire throughout the world though.

Considered to be protectors, the broze dragonflight find themselves greatly attracted to areas of civilization. The dragon and his flight are very patient by nature, always relying on observation and acting with a plan before being hasty. Nozdormu will always attempt to protect the time stream and the mortal races when threatened by greater enemies.

Neltharion:
Neltharion, called the Earth-Warder upon his creation, was more loyal and protective of Azeroth than any of the other Aspects. his black dragonflight werre responsible for the creation of the mountains and the other formations of the lands including boundaries between the mortal races. What caused his corruption still remains a mystery: be it an outside influence or something that rotted from within. I wonder if perhaps the Old Gods didn't play a hand in the great black's corruption.

The black dragon underwent a complete transformation, and in in the end, neltharion no longer existed. He became Deathwing, a creature of malice and hatred. No longer the Earth-Warder in the eyes of races like the high elves, he was renamed the Death Aspect and Xaxas in place of his titan-given name. Deathwing is the emobodiment of chaos and evil, and is alwyas hungry for destruction. He is arguably the first evil of Azeroth that appeared after the banishment of the Old Gods.

I have yet to see clear, simple directions regarding how to find the book, so I will do so myself.

Once you are inside the Dor'danil Barrow Den, follow the path until you get to the first large room. You should see one path leading down, one bridge going strait, and another bridge going right. Take the path that leads down, and then go left into the next tunnel.

Follow this until you reach the next large room, where you should see a central platform with a bridge leading strait and another walkway that goes to the lower level. The book is on a small rock podium on the central platform.

terrible directions - the quest giver is in St mountains , the quest item you need is in Ashnevale ? so ''Go Down'' is Away from ashenvale ? ive never herd of Dor'danil , it Cannot be in the south , the south is the main entrance to Ashenvale and theres no Dor'danil there , someone maybe tell us how to find this place ? .... like a screen shot ?

got it in the end - Strating from Splintertree post go south to felfire hill on your main map , that little house picture is were yo enter THEN everyone else's help makes sense - Dor'danil Doesnt show up on your map but it does come on your screen above the minimap when your there

I think it should be noted that there are 2 caves in this area that are IDENTICAL aside from the enemies within. I thought I was following the directions properly and ended up in a cave on top of Felfire Hill, the western side. The layout and appearance of it is exactly the same, but is filled with Demons. I got to the platform exactly as described and wondered why the hell the book wasn't where it was sposed to be.

So, just to be clear, the place you're looking for is southwest of Felfire hill, not ON Felfire Hill. The only consolation is I got a bunch of Shredder Operating Manual Pages...Still, there's an hour of my life I won't get back... :-)

..aaand right after getting the pages, I go back to Splintertree and get 2 quests to go to Felfire Hill and kill all the damn demons I just wasted an hour killing. *cries*

Look up the book, the quest item, Legacy of the Aspects, on Thottbot. There is a screenshot of where it is at.

Entry to the Dor'Danil Barrow Den is in Ashenvale at 75.8,75.4, directly south of Splintertree Post.

Go into the entry corridor and follow it down until you meet the first fork - a three way division with a bridge straight ahead, a bridge to the right and a short downward path to the left.

Take the short downward path. Within a few feet it will fork again. Take the left option again.

Follow that path downward until you cross a small bridge and come to a platform - you are there, a small platform with a bench and a pedestal. The book is on the pedestal.

Another bridge continues on, you don't need that.
