One of the rewards from the Quel'Delar quest chain, the others being: Quel'Delar, Might of the Faithful, Quel'Delar, Cunning of the Shadows, Quel'Delar, Lens of the Mind, and for those of you who can't wield swords there are mace rewards from the same quest: Cudgel of Furious Justice, Hammer of Purified Flame, and Lightborn Spire.

With most melee users choosing the strength reward (although I've heard rumors that it's not beautifully itemized, in which case disregard the remainder of this comment), and feral druids being unable to wield swords and therefore taking the two-handed mace, it seems that blizzard decided to itemize this version perfectly for hunters.

Imba hunterz weapon esp. with the 7.39%ArP given making it really a great weapon, too bad as stated above that it look like a 1h, but imo I think this will change in the release.

Also tbh, this could aswell be an excellent offhand for a fury warrior, due to 3.40 speed and ofc due to the fact that warriors need loads of ArP wich makes this wepaon quite good with a proper MH such as Justicebringer or any 245+ STR 2Hander, if you think 7.39 ArP aint enough then what is it?

PS : I dont have a warrior so I dont rly know if what I state above is 100% true but I belive this could be use that way

This is TRULY a hunter's weapon. Every stat on this thing is AMAZING for any spec hunter. Granted a warrior could use it, but the lack of strength makes it more specific to a hunter for sure. I LOVE THIS SWORD!

actually, i plan on using this for my dk, 341 ap on this, only 328 on might of the faithful, and only 335 on lightborn spire, plus, the arm pen is nice too

Did some calculating and with the current unholy EP values this will pull ahead of the str/crit/haste quel'delar sliiightly, so if you're looking to min/max this would be the choice. :) Hope it helps

Even if you take weapon DPS into account Ferocity of the Scorned comes out ~5% ahead of Might of the Faithful as warrior, based on Simulationcraft.

The result depends on your other stats though, but Haste is quite bad compared to Armor Penetration for warriors. If you're capped on Armor Penetration or use one of the Armor Penetration Trinkets, it's another ballgame. This weapon questline is very appealing to casuals, and many casuals cannot afford gear to be capped on Armor Penetration.

TLDR - Picking a weapon may not be an obvious choice.

To get these weapons, you must get the item Battered Hilt and complete its chain quest. This can be found as a random drop from the heroic 5 man instances in Icecrown.

to break it down for warriors, you choose between:
Strength based:
0.2 weapon speed
28 stamina
169 AP (arms, including BoK and talents) or 221 AP (fury, including BoK and talents)
91 haste rating

Agility based:
105 crit rating
91 armor penetration rating

This weapon was made in mind mostly for hunters, with stats that MM hunters will drool over. The weapon itself looks REALLY nice, especially for what some would call "welfare epic." The quest from the hilt sends you through all three dungeons starting with Pit of Saron, then to the Forge of Souls and finally the Halls of Reflection.

Looking over the loot tables for 10 man ICC, there are no known 2 handed weapons itemized for hunters available in the first wing or of known loot. Which means that for most hunters not of the SV build they probably will not see a better weapon until the other wings are opened up. Going from the Twin's Pact to this was a solid upgrade, though lost a bit of customization that came from the gem slot. Overall though, more agility, more AP, more crit, and has ArP instead of haste which most hunters know is a very luke warm stat for a hunter. If you can get your hands on this, you will not regret it. Solid upgrade for anyone who does not sport BiS gear.

The armor penetration makes it worth considering for an arms warrior... but why on earth did they have to make the attack speed 3.4? compared to the other sword with 3.6 that makes this one near useless especially with sword specialization... the agility is a major setback as well. Practically the only class which will get full benefits of this weapon is a hunter... woohoo.....

The Quel'Delar weapons are unique equipped but i dont understand if, as fury warrior, i can equip 2 different of them!

Comparing this to Reckoning heroic <--- I have the latter, with 2 X 20 agi gems in it, would I still want this and why?

I'm having a hard time deciding, 97 crit rating is alot, but I'm already around 47-50% crit unbuffed.

Edit: should maybe say that I'm a survival hunter :)

id like peoples thoughts on this for an arms warrior, for fury obviously go with the str one but as arms the main prio is arp for best results and the agi and crit is a much better stat to have than haste (which u get with the str version) which as arms is wasted i think. only downfall i think is that it is a sword :/ i have found +5% crit with axes to be much better. saying that there is like 4% crit on this sword alone for warr so hmmm :) some upgrade

lemme know any thoughts cuz its a lot of golds to be pickin the wrong one

If you ask me, the title really stands out when in the hands of a Hunter, since we're the most hated class ever, Huntards, retard pullers, nub pet control, misspull, missdirects, alot of the hate ends up in the hunter's fualt becouse people are so quick to lable us as useless or lazy, but when i get my hands on this baby, no one will EVER diss "Zaerjin, the Troll Hunter" (currently located on Sha'tar server)

Actually for DK tanks the Lightborn Spire would be a better pick.

My Warrior Arms will take this one tomorrow, definitely, much better than the strength one, a delight for pvp and pve.

And the agility makes us crit more and we get more armor, wich means more attack power because of https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/spell=61222 so, for me, it's an obvious choice.
