Got this lovely helm first week of Icecrown Citadel 25man, from Lady Deathwhisper.

As a tank coming straight out of totgc25, I found this quite nice. I had +0 hit on my 'BiS' hit gear, since most BiS tanking-gear pre 3.3 had no +hit.
This baby is currently second BiS with t10.25 as the only better one, and still then be very viable if you lack hit.

I found that the horns do not show if you are Tauren; intead your own horns are in the helms place. That left me very unhappy :(

This helm features a significant amount of defense in comparison to the actively used T9 245 plate tanking helmets (26 more to death knight helms and 45 to the warrior and tanking equivalents) which can assist in making up losses of defense from using either of the crafted tanking items: Pillars of Might or Boots of Kinly Upheaval. For warriors and paladin tanks, you do lose a small amount of strength (13) where death knights actually gain 20 points of the stat (still in comparison to the T9 245 tanking helms). Another significant bonus is the opportunity of warriors and paladins to get some hit in the head slot while death knights benefit form a solid 21 point increase in the rating. Overall, the helm is a solid pick from the beginning of Icecrown Citadel and should see good service.

I love the model of this helm, leveling a warrior just for the T10 helm :P

The fact that I can now gear my pally with the same looking helm is awesome, Ill take the possible loss for the appearance. so badass and awesome.
