this ring is ridiculous for increasing effective health. on top of large amount of stamina, it has a huge amount of armor and a large chunk of passive resistance. You will live longer by getting hit not as hard with magic or getting pounded on while stunned with this ring (icehowl and anub arak). A large amount of defense helps too if you're 'low', but most 232/255 gear is overflowing with defense rating, so its just icing on the cake as far as avoidance goes.

Hmm maybe...

The only other ring i can think of https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=47955 when gemmed with a 30stamina gem gives a lot more survivability at the cost of some mitigation making it possibly one of the best rings in game so far at 3.2.2.

I would definitely consider this for the second ring slot though.

EDIT - not sure why ive been downgraded, what i have said is completely correct. The Twin Valkry ring does have less EH as i said, but by a very small margin and does come close to the Onyxia ring.

This ring is one of the items that is at the very top of my wish list. Currently I have the badge ring and the HToC5 drop. I'll be dropping MotR for this if I ever get it, and my first concern was the fact that I would be losing a fair bit of avoidance, going from a purely avoidance ring to an EH one. MotR has 1.45% avoidance pre-DR, which is a fair amount. But then I thought about it, and signified ring of binding gives 11.18*3*0.04=1.34% avoidance pre-DR! So even though it doesnt have any pure avoidance stats on it, it gives a lot more than you might think. All in all an awesome ring.

Anybody know why Be imba lists this items gear score as 37,45 opposed to other rings of the same Item Level that has gear scores of 88-89'ish ?
Just courious.

Why is it gear with spirit gives higher gear score than well itemized pieces of a lower item level for Resto Shammies and Holy Paladins?

Roflscore, that's why.

Next time you have a Tank with a 2.6k GS gemming Parry and Str tell yourself Gearscore matters.
It really does matter, honest.

(No offence to Parry or Str gemmers, it's totally fine to gem, 'specially as a Druid.)
